Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Benedict looked at Lolly. "It was supposed to be secret, but I guess the rumour really has everything," he said calmly.
He wasn't very surprised that information had leaked in some way and, though he wanted to know who had betrayed them, he was not going to do anything about that. He would find out somehow.
He then looked as Tamara made her way over. She said what she said and Benedict rose an eyebrow.
"And killing her will not?" he asked incredulously, "Don't be stupid, we do not kill people, we do not want war. As for not saying my name" - as a werewolf, he had of course heard it with the strengthened hearing sense he had - "it does no longer matter. If we want this war to stop, anonymous is not going to be our friend."
He turned to the woman.
"My name is Benedict Holmes. Now you talk," he said calmly.
It wasn't as much an order as it was a request; Benedict knew to be polite when called for.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Cain gasped when he saw someone coming into the group, a human no less and he drew his sword completely looking at the human with a look of distain on his face. This woman wasn't even British she was German and he looked at all of the German creatures with narrowed eyes.
How had she known they were here?
All but growling he stood protectively in front of Faia and Ipolani, he wouldn't let any of his family be hurt, let alone by a human, yet he knew they had the upper hand as the woman was alone, and they were in many numbers.
Watching the woman with cautious eyes he waited for someone to talk, hopefully the intruder. But he did not lower his sword.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Lucian looked at the woman as she walked into the group of creatures and thought one thing to himself;
'SH*T!'
And was more than happy that Raziel had decided to stay at her place of work today, he hoped that he was going to be passed over as just another vampire he didn't think that he was a common creature, but he was nervous non-the-less.
Just looking at her calmly he turned his attention to Benedict, moving away from his stance by the tree, tattoo flaring up bright red as his anger also flared.
"I thought these meetings would be safe from humans." he muttered the real meaning behind this being 'I have too much to lose by being spotted here, do something.'

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
A crooked smile came to rest on Helga's lips as a commotion ran through the crowd, and she mentally clapped herself on the back for not sounding like a toddler for once. “Fool-hearty!” she laughed to the questions of bravery or foolishness, she felt neither was true or accurate. Everyone here was just the same as her, in her opinion and there for not to be feared, but perhaps it was foolish to just show up unannounced. With all the persecution these people had to deal with they were bound to be fearful and unnerved by her.
Then, not wanting to seem a threatening representation of a government that cruelly required the registration of more than at least half here she held up both hands defensively. "I'm not here on Ministry business!" she called loudly. "I'm here on my own, no one knows," her eyes flicked towards the man who seemed intent of protecting her, her smile wavering with the slightest bit of nerves as she noticed someone moving away from a tree. "I just wanted to be sure the rumors I was hearing around the office weren't true." she paused, her eyes halted in their flow over the crowd. "She's lovely!" she couldn't help but say with a nod when she saw the centaur foal, so tiny among the grown-ups.
Helga cleared her throat and held out her hand for the man, Benedict, to shake but said loudly, “My name is Helga Zimmermann, it’s very nice to meet you.” She said the last part to him alone. She drew a long breath as she prepared for her next question hoping that someone would recognize that she was a forerunner for the creature’s right movements that had been going on. All of her plans however, got shot down the moment they left her office for approval. “Half the rumor’s true,” she said motioning to the group. “Is the rest? Are you going to incite violence, join in on our war? That I’m afraid would be the rumor even during peace time, that you were going to make war, people being the fools they are…”
She noticed everyone seemed to be incredibly fearful and on alert. “There are no spies among you, at least none that I know of, and I’m not here to round you up or chase you away. I merely wanted to see if the rumors of your,” she bounced her fingers in the air making quotes around her words. “’Inevitable massing and immediate threat,’ status was a false one. The man who said that's a crack pot no worries about him.” she added. Then Helga looked about once more and wished there was something she could do to put them at ease, reaching into her pocket she grabbed a piece of ‘super bubble’ gum and popped it in her mouth. “Want one?” she offered Benedict before holding the pack out towards him, praying that if she maintained her typical easy going demeanor that it would spread to the others.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Benedict saw Cain step up protectingly, his demeanour changing to what resembled disgust. Probably because the woman was German. Benedict also saw Lucian stepping behind a tree. He then returned to look at the woman who had started speaking.
Benedict shook her hand calmly. He then shook his head.
"We do not wish war, we won't fight fire with fire. That is not our goal," he said calmly.
It was clear to him that the woman knew that creatures detested humans, and he had a feeling that maybe she was on their side when it came to the discrimination of creatures. Benedict then turned away from her and faced the others. He found no joy in having been discovered so easily by a ministry witch.
"You may all leave. This meeting will have no further conclusion with the witch present," he said calmly, looking directly at the tree Lucian was hiding behind; if he did not want to be seen, this was his chance to leave.
That really applied for all of them.
When the creatures scattered slightly, he turned back to the woman. "Well, you have successfully dispatched our meeting, so I cannot say you are on my good side. Actually I will advice you to leave now. I have no interest in fighting humans, you see, war is for the people who only have hatred enough to kill innocents. There are too few creatures that are so easily corrupted," he said calmly, "This would be due to how much you humans have gone against our kind. I do not blame you personally, you seem to understand, but too many humans have gone against us for me to trust another one."
He looked at Ostanda and Zara giving them a nod, asking them to kindly leave in his own way. His gaze then moved to Tamara and Lolly. He gave them both a small smile, which was more than most creatures did.
"I shall leave now. Helga Zimmermann, if you should wish to speak more to me, I suggest you name the time and place, and I shall meet you there. As for now, you should get out of this forest before the creatures decides to ... outdo you," he said calmly.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Helga watched hoping all would be well as Benedict looked at what she assumed was his followers. She pocketed the gum when he declined and smiled warmly when he stated that they were not conspiring to commit war. She was just getting ready to express how relieved she was and suggest further ways to protect their meetings such as charms and spells when everyone was dismissed. Helga gaped as she watched them go, knowing that she had probably sowed the seeds of distrust among them, and now she wouldn't have much of a chance to make things right.
It had, in truth been the female centaur and her daughter that had caused all the commotion, without meaning to of course. It was a colleague of hers that had first spotted them while flying over head, thinking it odd a mother and foal with no herd to be found he wanted answers. After he and few co-workers gathered themselves together they returned to examine the possibility of an undocumented herd migration. It was then that a few of the others had been seen and the rumors begun. Heading the division however, Helga did her best to squash said rumors. It disgusted her how they made people resister themselves, and their families' movements!
"Oh, no wait, I'm sorry!" she called after them as they left her heart sinking, this was not the way she'd intended for things to go. Helga felt herself wither as a child beneath Benedict's gaze as he berated her. "I'm sorry!" she mumbled sadly when he turned to nod at the others who had been seated with him. Then a brilliant idea struck her, a sure fire way to prove that she understood their plight and was well on their side. "Fine she nodded her agreement to meet in some other place. My house, tonight! I'll be sure there's a stew on!" she said not unkindly yet in a commanding tone as she met his eyes steadily.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Benedict knew that she hadn't meant to disrupt in such a way, but this was only the second meeting the creatures had. Trust was earned, and they had yet to all trust him. He could not afford to lose their support in this case, and was a little bit annoyed at the woman, though it wasn't meant personal.
He gave a nod when she said to meet her at her house. "I'll see you then," he said calmly, walking away into the trees with the other creatures.

Taking hold of Zara's sleeve Ostanda whispered urgently into her ear, "Who was that? Is something wrong? Why was everyone so afraid?" her fear splayed out for all to see as the two departed.

Zara was startled when Ostanda grabbed hold of her sleeve. She could hear the fear and concern in her voice. "It's ok. We have a good leader. Benedict will take of her. I don't know who she thinks she is, though." She said.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Ostanda felt very foolish and infantile as she trailed behind the girl. She was so very new to this world and depended greatly on her friends for everything. After she picked at a hang-nail for a few moments Ostanda resigned to ask, "What is the Ministry of Magic?" Her heart was pounding, if the world hated her half as much as she hated herself they without a doubt hunt her down. Is that why these meeting were so secretive? Were the people there hiding from a larger society bent on their destruction? Her heart spun wildly, was that the cause of this war everyone seemed to know of in great detail save for herself. After a few moments she took a shaky breath and questioned, "Is it terribly bad that she found us? They, the Ministry of Magic, they won't kill us will they?" Tears welled in her eyes as she thought of how much she deserved that, but not sweet Zara, not Benedict who was very kind in letting her stay with him, and certainly not that adorable baby-looking horse-girl. She hoped they wouldn't be harmed.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Watching from a thick fir tree Daciana was more than a little irritated that the human had even dared to tell the creatures anything. As if these weak beings were truly as wise as they thought, they would realize how dangerous that little slip could be. If it hadn't been for Benedict, whom she had watched since he was a pup, and trusted she would have attacked on sight, It had been months since she had eaten a full and satisfying meal.
But she was also interested in what they had talked about before dispersing into the forest. I gave her a lot to think about. She had a deep hatred for humans, but knew that if a real magic war came the creatures would suffer as much or more that the humans muggle or magic.
She thought back to what she had heard earlier between others about the war.
but then the humans.
It would be a while before knowing exactly where she should in this conflagration.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Lucian hurried away from the group when they were dismissed, he couldn't believe that Benedict hadn't had the presence of thought to put up some sort of boundaries around the group so that they couldn't be seen, surely he would be able to cast magic.
Scowling as his tattoo blazed, he made his way out of the forest and back to Durmstrang, he hoped to use the Doctor's Floo Network to reach his sister, and tell her of the events that had just occured. With an aggrivated sigh, Lucian rubbed his temples and then continued on his way.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
Lolly's head was spinning. That was one short meeting, and she was resentful of Helga for disrupting it. She'd been hoping to organise something between Briony and Benedict so the headmistress didn't feel so threatened any more... though, considering Briony's "situation", she doubted a hormonal, being-weaned-off-her-addictions headmistress would be entirely accommodating.
Lolly turned swiftly on her heel, bid farewell to Tamara and made her way out of the forest, using the trees as a guide. She dared not go the way she had come if the German Ministry had found them so easily.

Re: The Second Meeting (All Creatures)
The commotion in the clearing nearby took Daciana's attention form what she was doing and curiostity caused her to raise her wings and silently glide to the upper branches of a nearby tree. From there she would be able to see just what all the ruckus was about.
Looking into the clearing she was surprised to see so many creatures gathered together. It had been many years since she had seen such a diverse group gather in one spot. The last time was when Lord Voldemort had come to convince them to fight with him and the death eaters against that accursed Harry Potter and that ginger haired boy. She had fought with him then, even when she knew that he would inevitably die. Not that she had any great love for him, but because it would give her a chance to seek some vengeance for the killing of her mother when she was young. The hatred had built over the years and his fight brought it to the forefront of thought. Many had died in that war, and she herself had been wounded. But instead of discouraging her it had made her more determined than ever to kill humans.
As she watched the group a man, werewolf if the scent was correct, stood to speak. "Peace, never" she thought as he spoke. Anger filling her soul. a few others rose to speak in the same vein, although she could sense that some of the creatures didn't totally agree.
Suddenly, into the group she watched a HUMAN enter and begin to address the creatures assembled. With all her strength she kept herself from swooping down and tearing her apart. But she wanted to see just what this unimportant being wanted and why she had ventured into their territory. So leaning back she closed her eyes and listened to the words being said.

Humphrey noticed that were witches and wizards meeting in the forest. He walked into them during the middle of discussion and decided that it would be best to introduce himself. "Hello, my name is Humphrey Williams. What are you all doing here?" There were a lot of people there, and many of them looked like very dangerous people.
