She came from a French family who moved to Austria when her mother was pregnant. They travel around and her family discovered her knack for performing and dueling, hobbies of hers that she is proud of. Both her parents were Veelas so when they saw developing the traits of one they taught her how to control her powers, something she improved on as she grew older. When it was time to go to school her parents didn't know whether or not Marianne should go to Beauxbatons or Durmstrang but eventually chose the latter.
