Background Information:

Coming from a family of abusers and younger brother to Fenrir Greyback, he was given a bad rep all through his Hogwarts years (Ravenclaw). Fenrir was made a werewolf and so lycanthropy does not run in the family. In his fourth year (when he was 29) of tutoring French students (dropouts from Beuaxbatons) he did manage to meet the love of his life, Trizilla. Until during the war and after the birth of their daughter, Melody, did Fenrir kill Trizilla. So Wynley took Melody out to Florence where he met Emilia, a servant girl. He immediately begun to care for her due to her complete inability to save herself from the family's wrath. So to ensure their safety did he take away Emilia and Melody to Britain.

Emilia lost her memory and so he believed it easier to just let her think she was a family friend and no such thing as magic.
