Lesson Three - Second Years
Briony walked into the classroom and she had in mind the spell that she was going to be teaching the students this lesson, it was one that might go terribly wrong and have to have lots of trips to the Hospital Wing, however she was willing to give it a go.
With a small smile she picked up the chalk and wrote on the board:
'Rictusempra.'
The tickling curse, it was a bit of fun this lesson, but she just hoped that none of the students would take it too far. Deciding that it was too much of a risk to let them do it on themselves without knowing the counter curse, Briony summoned up the training dummies.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Tess was pretty happy. It was time to have dueling class which she found that not only did the class make her stronger spell wise, but also built up her confidence. In Headmistress Romain's class she found herself raising her hand more and volunteering more to not only learn points, but to stand out as well.
Pushing the door open she peeked in to see no one was there but the Headmistress. She let out a small smile towards her professor and found herself walking to her desk placing all her things there.
Looking at the board she saw the word "Ricusempra" and she took out her book to see what it was.
Tickling Charm?! she thought.
She didn't want to question how this spell would even be useful, and stayed mum about it.
She waited for other classmates to enter so the lesson could begin.

Airen walked calmly into the lesson. He around and noticed that he was the second one there. He looked up at the board and saw the spell they'd be learning. He thought through his knowledge of Latin and couldn't come up with a verb to match the spell. Guess he'd find out later.
He sat in his usual seat at the front of the classroom. He took out his quill, ink, and parchment for notes. He inclined his head in greeting to the professor.
"Good morning, Professor," he said.

Haley walked into the classroom and looked up at the professor with a respective nod. She then looked at the blackboard. 'Rictusempra'. She sat down and looked up the spell. She felt a small smile spread on her lips as she read about it, and she was growing curious as to how it would work on the dummies.

Victoria hurried to class. She didn't want to be late! When she opened the door she saw that class hadn't even started yet. Maybe my watch is fast.
She took a deep breath and sat next to Tess, looking at the spell on the board. She immediately smiled. She had done a little reading ahead in her Charms text and thought this could be a fun spell to learn. She wondered, though, how the spell would be stopped. Was it constant as long as the caster concentrated? Or did it need a counter spell. Hmm.

Parker hurried his way to class, slightly out of breath. He never wanted to be late, especially for this class. Last class certainly was interesting, and he wondered what they would be learning this time as he walked into the room. He saw Haley up by the front and he walked over to her, taking a seat and giving her a smile.
He set his bag on the table, digging his wand out. "Hey, Haley."

Haley smiled to Parker as he sat down. "Hey," she said softly before returning to silence.

Briony looked at the class and decided that she would begin the lesson, shutting the door with a flick of her wand she tapped the board, with a small smile, today was designed to give the less aggressive students something they could use to temporarily disable an attacker, as opposed to a violent spell.
"Good day class, now, I saw a few faces when you came in and saw what the spell was on the board, can anybody tell me, the effects of this spell? And what possible use it would have?"

Haley rose her hand and said: "Rictusempra is a tickling spell, making the people hit by it feel as though they are tickled. And if I'm not quite mistaken, I do believe that it doesn't matter if you are ticklish or not. It will make you laugh or be unfocused in some way," she said, hoping she was right.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Briony smiled her usual small smile when Haley put her hand up to answer the question it was refreshing how much she liked to participate in this lesson and at her answer Briony nodded again, it was a good one that was certain, and she felt like she had a good grasp of most of the spells they had learnt this year.
"Well done Haley, 5 points to Hufflepuff."
Turning to the dummies, Briony gesture for the students to go up to them, and briefly Briony muttered a few incantations and the dummies were turned into replicas of humans, of course they weren't real, they just had the same nervous system so the spells effects would show.
"Now, I would like you to cast the spell on these dummies as I will be teaching you the counter spell next lesson, and that is when you can practice on each other, now, take you wand and simply push it towards the target as you say the incantation; 'Rictusempra.' Now begin." she said.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Stay awake her Tess she reprimanded herself.
Once more she wasn't paying enough attention, or wasn't fast enough to respond before Haley could reply. She mentally shrugged and got up as the dummies were transformed. It was frightening how much they looked like humans.
They aren't she thought to herself.
Walking to the doll she looked at the doll and took a deep breath.
"Rictusempra." she muttered pointing to the doll.
The doll began to shake and twitch and soon it was laughing as if a human. It lacked a human spark, but the laughter did bring some shivers through her spine. She wondered how to stop it, but she looked at the Headmistress.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Haley rose and looked at the humane dummies. She pointed her wand at one of them and focused with calm eyes.
"Rictusempra," she said with a very strong, but low voice.
The dummy started shaking like Tess' had and she kept her focus until the dummy was falling to the floor from laughing so hard.
She felt slightly pleased with herself, and she smiled to Tess, congratulating her and herself, almost as if giving a high five with her eyes. Even though Tess and Haley didn't know each other that well, Haley felt that during Duelling, everyone was friends, at the same time as it was a sort of competition. At least to her, but she was sure that had something to do with Sally Swandeth.
The thought of the woman made Haley's smile vanish instantly and she turned to the laughing dummy with cold eyes, trying, and eventually succeeding, in pushing the thought of the woman away.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Briony smirked lightly as she saw two of her students perform the spell correctly and she nodded her head as they both managed to make the dummies almost fall over with laughter and Briony waved her wand muttering the counter curse and she smiled her normal small smile at her class and gestured to the door, now that the class was over.
"Well done you two, 10 points each, I hope to see you all next lesson, be careful and do not be using this spell on anybody, understood?" she said with a small scowl "Good, now go on. Class dismissed."
