Lesson Three - Second Years

Briony after a rather disjointed lesson with the first years, looked up from her cup of coffee with a sigh.

Picking up a text book once more and the notes that the Professor had made on the lessons for his second years, Briony flicked through them quickly and decided what she was going to teach, she just hoped they hadn't already been taught it.

Sighing she sat down on the desk and rubbed at her eyes, it seemed like Pepper-Up potion and coffee were the only thing keeping her alive these days.

Zara walked into the classroom with a surprised look on her face. She was the only student there. That was a first for her. Smiling at Briony, she sat down at a random desk and got her things out ready for the lesson to start.

Airen opened the door to the Charms classroom and walked in. He noticed the normal Professor was absent and was instead the headmistress and Dueling professor. He idly wondered where Prof. Devante was but decided not to dwell on it.

Making his way to the front, he smiled at the professor.

"Good morning, Profesore (Professor)," he said.

JJ walked into class and smiled at Briony. She walked to the board and wrote her name, and Summoning Charm. She sat on her desk waiting for the rest of her class.

Leshia walked into Charms and noticed that the headmistress was in the classroom and that usually meant one of two things, either something was wrong with the charms professor or we had a new one she was testing out.

Leshia went to a desk and sat down waiting for the class to start, then she noticed a new teacher walk into the room. This is going to be interesting.

Victoria walked into the class. She was excited to get back into charms since the professor had been MIA last lesson.

She was surprised to see the Headmistress in class, but happy. She really enjoyed the hands on approach she had to teaching. She then noticed the new teacher and quickly took her seat. Not knowing anything about her, she didn't want to get in trouble for anything on her first day.

Noticing he may have been a bit behind time to get to class, Parker hurried, not wanting to be late. He walked into the room, noticing a different teacher and looked at her curiously.

He sighed, making his way to his seat. All this instability with teachers wasn't doing well for his psyche, he could hardly keep track of who still taught or not anymore.He set his bag on the table, resting his head down, yawning.

JJ smiled at her class and spoke from her desk. She figured that for today's lesson she would need to use the charm.

"Hello Class I'm Professor James, The new charms teacher." She said smiling. "Today we will be doing summoning charms, so who can tell me about this charm?" She asked jumping right in to the lesson.

Tabi made her way to charms class and as she arrived in the classroom she noticed that it was just getting started so she was not that late so she was glad for that.

Finding a seat in the back of the room she sat back and listened to the new teacher.

Tabi thought she could earn some points for being late if she answered the question.

"Its the accio charm, and it brings things to you." Tabi stated

JJ smiled at Ms. Prewett, but didn't award any points, because she was late.

"That is right, Now in order to do this charm you need to concentrate on what object you would like to come toward you. "

JJ raised her wand and pointed it at her office door. "Accio cushions." She said in a firm and clear voice. The box of cushions she had stored there for this class came toward her and she caught them.

"We are going to use these because I don't want anyone to be hurt by a flying object. All of you please stand up and go to the east side of the room." She waited as they moved once the had she placed the cushions on the opposite side of the room.

"Point your wand at one of the cushions and say 'Accio' like this," She pointed her wand at one of the cushions "Accio" She smiled as the cushion came toward her and caught it.

"Alright Start."

Airen listened as the professor introduced herself. He hoped she would actually hold onto the position because she seemed like a nice professor.

He nodded at her instructions and moved to the east side of the room. With it still being morning, he knew where to go. He turned and faced the cushions. He pointed his wand at the cushion in front of him and said in a clear voice, "Accio."

The cushion shot forward faster than he thought it would and ended up smacking him dead on in the face. He flushed, somewhat embarrassed, but he still found it somewhat funny. This could be turned into some kind of game. He'd think about that later.

Victoria was excited to learn this spell. Muggles always thought of things like controlling objects as part of magic, and she was happy to finally learn something that coincided.

Following Airen, she took a position on the far side of the room. She watched him, to get the hang of it a little better and almost laughed when his pillow smacked him. But she tried to hide it. Those things always happened to students and she found it reassuring that things didn't have to work perfectly the first time.

Concentrating on a bright green pillow she said "Accio", envisioning it floating swiftly over to her. Control, that's the key. Though she wasn't sure if this was something she could control. Thankfully, it seemed to work as the pillow moved quickly over to her waiting hands.

Zara watched as the professor demonstrated. Can't be that hard.

Zara examined the cushions and chose one. She pointed her wand firmly at her chosen cushion. "Accio" she said, clearly. The cushion came flying towards her. Not having too much time to think, she dropped her wand and caught the cushion with both hands.

She briefly looked down at where her wand had dropped, noticing it was still in one piece. She let out a big sigh of relief.

JJ smiled at the students glad she had used cushions. One boy had already been hit. She smiled at them all the checked her watch. She was shocked, her class was over already.

"Well Class that's all we have time for today. For homework just practice. Any questions you have my office is always open." She said with a smile. She rather enjoyed teaching and having her dream job was perfect.

She walked toward her office smiling about her good class. She really hoped she would stay.
