Second years- third Lesson Empty Second years- third Lesson

Post by Sofia Slytherin Wed Mar 14, 2012 1:30 am

There were many things that Sofia wanted to teach the students when it came to astronomy, but she needed to learn to pace herself and try not to teach them things they they hadn't learned yet. She had realized that maybe the next thing they could learn about was the planets. So she set up on the table a model of the planets and waited for the class to arrive so they could discuss them.

Haley walked into the Astronomy classroom with a smile on her face. She was glad Astronomy was back on again and sat down in one of the comfy chairs, looking into the sky. She gave a smile to professor Slytherin and then took a deep, relaxing breath, waiting for the rest of the class to assemble.

Zara slowly walked into class. Seeing Haley, she walked over and sat next to her. "Hi,Haley" she said.

Zara was looking forward to this lesson. She wondered what they would be learning and if it could possibly relate to Zara's transformations.

Victoria was excited to see something she already new about in this class. It made her feel at home, kind of like Muggle Studies class.

Taking a seat close to the model planets, she tucked her legs under her and pulled out her book to see if there was anything interesting that she hadn't learn in public school.

Tabi was not feeling very well she had gotten into a fight with Ivano over Damien and she hadn't seen or spoken to him all week. She wish he would understand that she didn't like Damien for more than a friend.

Walking into Astronomy class she hoped she would get to see her sister, she hadn't seen her in a long time and she missed her. Not that she would admit it to an outsider.

She went and found her usual seat and waited for class to start.

Leshia made her way to Astronomy class and was glad to see her sister sitting in the class. She was sure there was not going to be any problems this class period.

Leshia made her way over to the seat and sat down next to Tabi.

"Hay sis, is all Leshia said"

Sofia decided that enough people had shown up for her class that she would begin.

"Now class in front of you is a model of the planets. Can anyone name the planets for me." Sofia smiled and looked around the room.

"Now only name one or two to give the rest of the class a chance to answer."

Haley raised her hand. "Neptune and Venus," she said, pointing at the next to last and the next to first of the planets.

Victoria raised her hand. "Mercury and Pluto. Though in the past decade muggle scientists have claimed that Pluto is too small to be considered a planet anymore."

She found that odd, that scientists could just retract something that had been seen as fact for so long.

Sofia listen to the students name some planets and they were excellent answers. "Good job, 10 points each."

Sofia looked at the time. "Well it seems we have run out of time. As for homework I would like everyone to pick one planet and give me a 50 word summary on it. Due by next lesson." Sofia smiled

"Class dismissed."
