Her Violin (Open)

Teresa sat on the first step the of Roman Ampitheatre's stairs. She was waiting for her cousin to come a play her violin.

She waited until the moon was bright and high above the sky. Teresa waited patiently because she was early. Way early. She laid back in the steps and saw the sky. The stars tinkled like diamonds and the moon shone like a mirror. The constellation, Orion. The view was breath taking.

She closed her eyes, still waiting for the violin to play.

Lilith arrived ten minutes before midnight with her violin. A raven sat on her shoulders She carried it in a pure black wooden case. The violin was passed down from generation of the first child of the first child. She was the 53rd generation. Every person who inherit the violin enchanted the case with a different spell each time, so nobody but her can take the violin out of its case.

Lilith walked towards Teresa, who was laying down on the steps. Her black combat boots echoed on the ground.

Caw! the raven went, waking Teresa up. She smiled at their direction.

"Good evening, Teresa," Lilith greeted, kissing Teresa's forehead. "What song should we play this night?"

"Lilith!" Teresa exclaimed, hugging Lilith by the waist. Raven jumped besides her. "Raven, were have you been? I been looking for you."

Raven ignored her, dropping a diamond in her hands.

"You can't buy your apology, you stupid bird. How about we play 'Sound of an Angel'?"

Teresa took the diamond Raven gave her and transfigurated into a harp. She looked at Lilith.

Lilith nodded. She loves that song.

She set her case on the ground and opened it. A silver violin laid on the black velvet flooring and its bow nestled next to it. On the back of the belly at the bottom was the King family crest. It was a shield with a crown on top entwined with roses and thorns. In the shield was a pair of open wings, one white and one black. There was a missing piece that was lost that was supposed to be in between the wings, but no one have seen it since the a war with another family a long time ago. The King legend says that only fate can choose to give it back.

Lilith placed the violin on its natural place and said, "One...two...three."

They began playing. Raven stayed quiet.

As they played, Lilith visualized the song in her head. She imagines an angel who fell in love with a human. For a year she watched him from her home in the sky. She kept it a secret because it was a sin for love to happen for an angel. They were pure and love can ruin them. Finally she couldn't stay away and traded her wings to the devil. After she descended from the heavens and met the human. The human was enchanted the moment he set eyes on the angel and fell in love. For many years they were happy. It all ended when God had found out about them and sent his archangels to bring the angel back. By then, the angel and the human had a child who had the grace of the angel and love of the human. The angel was caught and brought back to the heavens. She was quickly put on trail. At the end, she was banished from the earth and heaven. The doors of Hell was summoned and opened. Chains came out and started dragging her in. The angel struggled, but nothing can stop the chains. Before the doors closed, she saw one last glimpse of her child and her lover. A single tear fell out as the door closed forever on her.

They played with no mistakes and stopped when the song was done.

"Secret Garden?" Lilith suggested to her cousin.

Teresa nodded and looked at Raven. He dropped a several emerald, diamonds, sapphires, and rubies besides her. The bird seems to have an unlimited amount of space in his mouth. She changed them into a crystal piano.

"One...two...three," she said and they began playing. Teresa could play any instrument she practices because she had a very good memory.

As they played, Teresa could see the music dance in a waltz in the air. The violin lead the piano into prefect harmony. The stars seemed to do the same. The air became cold, but she felt warm. Lilith was dancing herself, accompanying the music. How beautiful the night was.

Magic began turning visible and shone light on them as they kept playing. It was a sight to remember.
