Lesson One - Second Years Empty Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:50 am

The Doctor sat in the classroom underneath the standing stones, the entrance to it wide open so that the students would easily find the stairs and walk down into the underground classroom. He had quite the lesson planned for them today. It was going to be the start of their new project; Staves.

Annika hurried on her way to the grounds for her runes class. She was hoping that she wouldn't be the only one in the class, she wanted to make friends more this year than ever. Her trip home had made her realize just how lonely she had become. Going through her satchel to make sure she had everything she needed she almost didn't see professor Nettle standing by the door way into the class. Looking up she smiled at him and giggled a little at her mistake. Then looking down into the underground class she started to breathe heavily. Slightly claustrophobic this had never been her favorite place. But sighing and taking one deep breath she started down. The one redeeming feature to this class was the dreamy teacher. She sure hoped she could concentrate this year.

When Annika had walked into the classroom, The Doctor had noted the way her breathing changed. He'd only ever had that happen a few times and it was because a student was uncomfortable in exclosed spaces. He picked up two staffs of wood and held a hand out to help her out of her chair, smiling as he did so,

"Come on Annika, let's have class outside." he suggested with a grin, "We're going to have a hell of a time!"

Sighing with relief Annika took the professors hand and followed him outside. Chilly though it might be she was much more relaxed and happy when they stepped out of the staircase and into the fresh air. smiling at the professor she whispered, "Thank you sir, how did you know I didn't like the room? I've never told anyone about my fears. I got locked into a trunk when I was little and playing seek with my cousin. He thought it was funny and left me there all day. I've hated dark places ever since. you must really be psychic to know that." Then blushing furiously Embarassed she ducked her head and waited for instructions for the class.
