Surprised to Say the Least

Sofia had a lot on her plate over the last few weeks, it was times like this when she hated her gift. She was taking Anne's death really hard and she had no one to talk too. It had been a long time since something happened that she didn't have control over. It was times like this she missed when she could talk to someone. She doesn't know why but for some reason she thought about today and it would have been Angelus and her's Anniversary, wow it would have been 19 years.

Sofia has no idea where the thoughts were coming from. She was really hating how she was feeling. Over the last couple of years she was feeling that something had been missing and she could not explain it. She had problems like this for about 13 years. That happened to be the same time her relationship with Angelus had taking a turn.

Sofia could never explain why she stuck it out with him for another 6 years, maybe it was because it was the normal for her. She was not one for change maybe. She did love him very much and he was all she had ever known. But when she had that vision about him having a affair she would not deal with it any more. She never even let him explain, she just kicked him out.

But that was almost 10 years ago and she has managed to just stay single, she wanted to have love but after the last time she didn't want to go through that again.

She was going through the lesson plans that she had in front of her, she was trying to think of a way to get the kids more interested in her classes. She was sitting there when Ali popped in with a package for her.

Ali left the package sitting on the desk and then popped out. Sofia looked at the package and wondered who could be sending her a package. She pulled over the package and opened it up to find a note and two vial that when she picked them up she could tell that they were memories.

Who would be sending her memories vial Sofia began to wonder so she decided that she better read the note that came with the package.

"I am not sure how to tell you this now after all these years, but your life has been a lie. For reasons I will never understand my husband took something from you and now that he is dead I feel that I can tell you. He had threaten me and the life of the child and for the safety of the child I have not told you until now.

I am really sorry to tell you this over a letter, but it would be best if you look at these memories with Mr. Moody. This concerns the both of you.

Once again I want to offer my apologies for ruining Mr. Moody and your life."

Sofia just about fell out of her chair when she read the note. What on earth could have happened all those years ago to cause this. Angelus and her hadn't been together forever so what could this possible mean.

Sofia knew that she was going to have to owl Angelus and she had barely said two words to him for the last few years.

"Angelus,

It is very important that you come to my office for a meeting. I recieved a package with a couple of memory vials that our meant for the two of us. It is said we are suppose to do this at the same time. Trust me I have no idea what this is about. But then you know I have not been able to seen my own future for a long time.

Please come to my office as soon as possible so we can take care of this.

Sofia called Ali to have her send the letter out to Angelus, she had known he was not in the castle at the moment so it needed to be owled.

Once Ali came and got the letter all she could do is sit and wait.

Angelus was slightly surprised to receive an owl from Sofia she hadn't said a whole lot to him since the broke up. There was something about memory vials he found that part interesting. By the sound of the owl it seemed important so he made the way to her office as fast as he can since he was out.

He knocked briefly on her office door before he entered slowly and awkwardly he did not know why they had to do it together but he guessed they should follow the request of the mysterious person who sent the package to Sofia.

Sofia looked up when she heard the knock on the door, looking up she saw Angelus walk in. It had been so long since they had actually talked about something that was just about them, Sofia was a little nervous.

"Come on in Angelus let us get this over with." Sofia really was not sure where to start, she was afraid of what she would find in the vial.

Sofia opened the package and then handed the letter over to Angelus so he could read it. She could tell by the look on his face he was as lost as she was.

Opened the box further and pulled out the vials and handed one to Angelus and she had the other one. Looking at the vials and thought for a moment she contemplated the drank hers down and watched Angelus do the same thing.

This was not the first time she drank memories and they are really gross, she learned a long time ago a person could drink there own memories as a way of getting them back.

Sofia took a few minutes by closing her eyes giving her memories time to take hold on her. When she opened her eyes she started to cry, she could not believe what she saw. How could anyone take someones child from them, and then take away four years of memories. Looking down in the box another letter appeared to be in there. It must have been spelled to appear after they drank the memories.

Grabbing a tissue Sofia wiped her eyes. How could anyone do this to a person. Looking at Angelus he looked just as in shock as she was, she took the letter and read it out loud.

"Sofia and Angelus,

Now you know the terrible things that my Husband has done. I am really sorry that he took your son. I know that does not make up for you missing out on the last nine years of his life. My husband thought that the child would be very powerful with a Slytherin being a parent. On top of a very powerful muggleborn.

We left his name Ivano, but it is Ivano Romano because I did not want to confuse an already confused 4 year old. Currently he is a 3rd year at Durmstrang, he had been doing wonderful in school. But then you were his teachers for two years so you would know that.

My husband could see how much he was starting to look like the two of you and knew it was a matter of time before questions were going to be asked. Here is a couple of pictures of him that I have. I will leave him in your capable hands now.

Once again I am sorry I did not tell you sooner, my husband would have killed me and I wanted to make sure your son was well taking care of.

Sofia could not believe everything that had just happened. This explains so much, you cannot take the obilivate the memories of a Seer and not cause problems. This also explains why things never got better for her and Angelus. But that was all over with now, they would have to work this out for now and deal with it.

Sofia looked up at Angelus and he looked as shock as she did, she could tell that he was unsure what to do.

"Angel we have to talk about this, we have a son. We have to meet with him, we had a baby and we were made to forget." Sofia sighed, she still could not believe that she had a child.

Angelus drank the memories and suddenly everything came flooding back as he remember his little son that he had. He had loved him so much and he was taking away. Well there was nothing he could do to change the past now.

Sofia had made it very clear 9 years ago how she felt and she had not allowed him to discuss it with her since then so that fine he would figure this out all on his own. All he could think about was getting to Dani, so he could talk to her.

Angelus stand up and turned towards the door, standing at the door he turned to look at her.

"You lost the right to call me Angel along time ago, and I am sure that somehow this is your fault. I will figure things out all on my own, you were not bothered to listen to me 10 years ago, why should I be bothered to listen to you."

With that Angelus walked out the door
