Background Information:

Maria grew up in the French court of Versailles, she was one of the most prominent members of French society until her family was cast into disgrace as a result of her father's speculation on the cotton markets. Now with no money there were precious few friends who stood by them, Maria had to begin to work, and it was on the way home from work one evening that she was happened upon by the vampire Leonardo and fed upon.

They stayed together until she had learnt all that she needed to from him and occasionally they still correspond with each other to see how they are doing. Maria now has moved to Germany to avoid suspicion from the areas she had lived in already, and is currently serving as a maid to the Gott Des Assitenten.
