Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Briony Romain Tue May 15, 2012 12:12 am

Briony was not very happy at having to come and cover her least favourite professors lessons when she was supposed to be relaxing after the birth, but there was simply nobody else to cover so she had to get herself to the lesson on time, leaving Raven in the care of Kayla while she taught.

Opening the door to the classroom, Briony stepped inside and strode towards the desk in the center, sitting down, she was very glad that her work outs seemed to be getting her post-baby body back into shape, like it should be, without the use of magic.

Sighing she waited for the class to arrive so she could begin.

Alcyone was sat in her common room, fretting over Caelum and Capella. To distract herself, she thought of Haley and felt a huge smile spread over her face. Haley was like a big sister, someone she could always run to when she was scared. And there was Jaycie, her best friend who she knew she'd always have by her side and love. Soon though, Alcyone realised she ought to go to her lesson and it was with an irritated sigh that she forced herself up and walked along to it. When she arrived, she sat in the middle and waited.

Sam sighed and walked to charms she had been a little depressed lately, Sam walked inside the classroom and noticed professor James wasn't there but instead Professor Romain.

Sam gave the professor a nod and she sat down in her normal spot in the back of the classroom, Sam sighed and looked at the desk.

Xander was surprised to see the Headmistress at the front of the class. More so because he had not been able to catch her at her office over the weekend for detention. He had knocked, but got no answer.

Though, when he saw her, he wasn't surprised. She had obviously had her baby and he was glad for her. She and her husband seemed like they needed more happiness in their lives.

As he took his usual seat he waited for the class to start.

Briony smiled internally when it seemed as if there was only one student in this class, she didn't mind however because it meant that she would be able to teach the class much better this way.

Standing up she made her way to the front of the class and sat on the front of the desk;

"Hello class, today your teacher has left me the work to teach you, and she said you would be learning about the Dissarming Charm, to all of you who took duelling...which is all of you, you have already learnt this charm, but perhaps could use this lesson as time to practice it?"

With a small smirk she wrote the incantation on the board; 'Expelliarmus'.

Xander stood and moved to the center of the room. Since there were only the three of them he figured they would just have to take turns.

Turning to Alcyone he gesture for her to take the first turn. "If you'd like you can try the disarming spell first. I'll do offense."

Briony saw that many of the students had not managed to complete the spell and she wasn't happy that she would have to give a bad report on the students to the professor, not that she would be seeing her if she could help it.

"Ten points to Slytherin, for bothering to get off your ass to do something Xander, the rest of you book your ideas up, you Professor will be getting a negative report on you from this lesson. Class dismissed."

With that Briony flicked her wand and opened the door to the classroom for the students to leave through.
