Alcyone blinked away her tears as the train sped along, the familiar rhythm rocking her body. As much as she wanted to be with her brother and sister, she didn't want to go home to her parents. She curled up into a ball and rested her head against the side of the train, sniffles made instead of tears. It was a hard feat to not sob when the world was so against Alcyone. It just wasn't fair.

But then, how was any of this fair? Her whole life was un-fair. She shuddered as she realised that next year she would be returning with Caelum as well - and whilst that was good for his safety it meant Capella was alone with their parents for the whole school year. She let out a sigh at that thought. She didn't want to leave Capella alone with those monsters.

Who knew the things they would do to her! But there was nothing she could do, because getting permission from the headmistress to bring Ella with her would require permission from her parents - and that was never going to happen. People would think it easy, the solution, tell the ministry. But she couldn't do that, because her parents would find her, her tutors. And she would be dead. They would check her mind and see what she'd done, and probably kill Ella and Cae in front of Alcyone's eyes to torture her, before ending her own life. She didn't want her siblings to die, she'd sworn to protect them ever since they were born.

Teresa was wandering around the train, having no idea what to do during the train ride home. She really hadn't many friends and thought it was a waste of her life to sit, doing nothing. She was rarely an idle person, always wanting to do something.

She smiled as she remembers that when she gets home that Mama, Alice, and Lily would be there with her. Mama would be smiling and humming, Lily would play her violin, and Alice would share all her sweets and made her go crazy. Raven would be there too so she can make fun of him. Better enjoy life before marriage.

Bored and still wandering, she passed a cart, hearing something that sound like a sound of sadness. Teresa opened the door and saw a fellow second year Slytherin, curled up, looking depressed. Not use to such a picture, she reached into one of her pocket, taking out a chocolate bar and split it in half.

"Hello," she greeted, holding out a chocolate half, "Would you like some?"

Alcyone sighed and wiped at her wet eyes, willing the tears to go. It wouldn't do to have someone walk in to see her crying, and she could only imagine how annoying it would be if that someone was Damien.

Still, she couldn't convince herself to move out of the position she was currently in and so she remained that way, sad eyes staring out the window as the countryside flew past. Every 'chug' of the train brought her closer to her torture, her own personal hell.

She wished she didn't have to go back, and she wouldn't except her siblings were there. She choked on a sob, and suddenly the door to her compartment was slid open by another Slytherin girl, whom she faintly recognised from some of her classes. She watched curiously as the girl snapped her chocolate bar in half.

Alcyone nodded and hesitantly took the bar, nibbling on the end. "Hi, thank you." She sat in a normal position now.

The girl seemed a bit scared before she took the chocolate. Teresa was glad. She always thought sweets could make people happy, that why Alice always have cake in her knapsack.

"I'm Teresa King," Teresa said, sitting across from the sad girl, hoping it was okay. "Are you okay? Even though I barely know you, would you want to talk about it? I promise I won't tell anyone. Mama always let me do it. Maybe I can help someone this time."

Feeling a bit imposing, Teresa bit the chocolate. She liked to help people, like Mama. And she wanted to make herself feel better too. So many memories that wasn't her's go through her mind every time her magic felt difficult. Sad and horrifying memories. And she couldn't do anything to help. Neither the situation or the people.

The warmth that flowed through her from the chocolate was most welcome to Alcyone. She'd forgotten how much chocolate made everything better - but remembered now.

Alcyone was happy for company, she didn't want to be alone anymore. She was so sick and tired of being cold and alone. "I'm Alcyone Malfoy," she responded softly, knowing that 'King' was a pureblood last name.

When Teresa offered to help her, Alcyone hesitated. She didn't tell people, she'd only told Haley and Jay so far. She needed to trust someone first. "Don't worry about it. Just sad to be going home, what about you?"

Home? It was with her family. Memories of her cousins talking and playing ran through her mind. Teresa was excited. It was like a sacred place for her. She didn't know what to feel when Alcyone said about going home. Sad? Pity? Nothing?

"Sure," Teresa smiled kindly, wondering how to make her smile. "I can't wait to go home. I have a cousin name Alice who always have sweets in her pack and they are delicious. She make them herself. I would say it even better than the sweets at Honeyduke's. Are you going to be happy to see anyone? Maybe a sibling?"

Alcyone sighed as Teresa talked about her home. She wished she had a place to go to like that, and for a moment there an image flickered through her mind. It was there for a moment, but the pain and heart-break it left in its wake made Alcyone's shoulders slump and her eyes were filled with sadness.

She had pictured it, Capella smiling whilst their mother held her in her arms, and their father told tales of adventurous knights and pretend battled with Caelum, whilst she sat and laughed at their antics. Tears welled up in her eyes, but with a blink it was as if they had never existed. "I don't like going home, but I must. I can't leave my siblings there. What's it like, having parents?" She asked - because in her mind, she had no parents.

Parents were a bit hard for Teresa to talk about because she only had one, a mother. Her father died a year after she was born, but he did leave her a powerful shield enchanted bell choker for her. She always wanted a father figure, someone who would be all protective with her against such evils as boys.

"I'm not sure about parents," Teresa answered. "I only have a mother, but I can say it's great. She is always patient with everything and great with healing. If you don't like home, why don't you just run away?"
