The Hunted (Air and Raven) Empty The Hunted (Air and Raven)

Airen was walking through the silent woods. Today was a special day in his life, and it wasn't the good kind of special. On this day, the whole life of being in the Swordmage Academy was ripped out of him. It was stolen from him. He had the obsidian sheath hanging from his belt. His crystal sword was held firmly by his hand. He arrived in a small clearing in the middle of the woods.

Something didn't feel right. He felt like today was going to have another bad memory that it related to. He tightened his grip on the sword and waited.

Raven blinked, after all of her waiting she had finally been able to spot him and as soon as she did she was off like a shot running towards him silently, her magic being directed to the soles of her feet to cushion the sound that her footfalls would have made.

Speeding along beside him she could not wait to begin exacting the revenge she had so long harboured in her heart, it was something that had kept her awake at night, and she thought that now...now that he had something of a normal life, it would be even more delicious to rip that all away from him.

Of course she was talking about Airen Auditoren. The boy who had killed that which was her own. Raven, did not take kindly to people killing those who she had marked out as her own to kill, the last person she had encountered like this, had ended up bleeding out over her straight razor.

She wanted the same thing to happen to this boy. She wanted the same thing, to happen today.

Stepping out from behind one of the trees, Raven chuckled, and stood staring at the boy, waiting to see how long it would take him to realise she was there, until finally she said evilly; "Boo."

Hearing the voice ignited Airen's battle instincts that he had received from his training. At almost the same moment, he spun toward the voice. His sword ended up pointing directly at the person from which it came. His eyes widened as he took in the maniacal gleam in the eyes of Raven Drake. He remembered her from the attack on Hogwarts in his first year.

"Why have you come?" he asked coldly, his sword never wavering as he held it directly at her. He had no idea why she would choose to attack him. What had he done?

Raven rolled her eyes slightly when Airen turned and pointed her sword at her, honestly how immature could he get, a little boy playing pretend with a sword, well she was going to be the one to end his little charade and show everyone what he truly was.

Weak.

A large smirk appeared on her lips and Raven laughed manically, taking out one of her straight razors, flicking it open and closed, knicking her skin but not paying much attention as the metal bit into her skin.

"To look at this forest. You just happen to be in my way." she teased "Not everything has to be about you Auditoren."

When Raven rolled her eyes, Airen knew that he had the advantage. Battles he had fought always went this way. Losing to a boy is never fun, let alone losing your life in a fight with one. He always made sure to give them last rites, but maybe there was no hope for such a person as the one that his blade was pointing at. Still, if that's how the fight went, then she'd get her last rites.

Airen's narrowed on the razor. This woman really was crazy if she didn't show any implication of pain as the blade kept knicking her skin. He wondered what caused her to go 'round the bend. He hoped she wasn't too far gone.

"Don't buy it. You clearly have a reason to be after me, and I want to know what that reason is," he said coldly, the diamond blade began to fog, as if I've was building up inside it.

Raven tilted her head to one side, she was amused by this boy, he was so obviously out of his league and he only wanted to be able to make himself look strong and tough, when Raven knew all she needed to say was one little word and he would crumble.

When he told her that he did not believe what she said she laughed her cold twisted laugh, that was a shadow of what she had normally sounded like, before she began her necromancy that was...such a long while back now.

"Well, aren't you a smart one." she smirked "Maybe....maybe I don't want to tell you what the reason is, what are you going to do then?" Raven asked, one eyebrow raised, her eyes wide.
