Lesson One - First Years Empty Lesson One - First Years

Post by Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:43 am

Raven had what could only be described, as a wonderful holiday, she had killed so many people it was unreal, her necromancy magic had only grown stronger and she had even been able to squeeze in some time with baby Raven and her mother, Briony.

With a happy little smile, Raven sat at the front of her desk, and wondered if she was perhaps doing the scariest thing that she ever could towards her students, actually smiling.

Although she was sure it would soon be wiped of her face when the students, or lack of, arrived. Writing the lesson point on the board, Raven sighed lightly and waited for the class to begin;

'Boil Cure Potion.'

Potions. Now this was a lesson that Pandora knew would be far more interesting and helpful than any of her other lessons. She'd only learnt a few basic potions herself before her parents death, and they'd just been getting into potions.

She'd heard that their Lehrer was 'The Sweeney', and when she walked in she saw that this rumour was in fact correct. She felt a small smirk on her face before it vanished.

She walked to the front and took a seat, pleased to note that she was the first to arrive to the class. She looked up and saw a potion she'd only done once before.

Raven looked at the one student, one of the ones from Geschick house, she did not know what they were going to do this lesson with just one student but she hoped that this would increase as the months went on, after staring at the child for some time she stood up and sighed.

"Boil Cure potion, can you tell me one ingredient from this potion that we will use in order to create it in this lesson, beware there are many variations of boil cure potions so ingredients will differ."

Locking her eyes once more onto the girl she waited in silence for the student to answer her, not thinking of introducing herself, she obviously knew who she was.

Pandora was quick to come to the realisation that she as the only student in the class. Taking into consideration that Pandora didn't fear all that much, this fact didn't alarm her as it would with any other student who had common sense. Something Pandora did not possess.

She frowned and tried to remember the potion shed made once, though that was four years ago now and Pandora had hardly tried to hold onto the information. Her memory had always been one of her more brilliant aspects, and she dearly hoped that it wouldn't fail her now.

Suddenly, it all came rushing back to her and a pleased glint could be seen in her eye. Pandora never missed an opportunity to show off when she could. She nodded her head at The Sweeney. "In the common version, the ingredients are horned slugs, porcupine quills and snake fangs."

Raven grinned to herself twistedly, she was not expecting the student to be able to answer the question, after all most of the first years were terrfied of her, but this one was not, she reminded her of Aquila Wilson in this manner.

While they had brewed Raven had taken her pocket watch out, smashed as it was, and was looking at in unblinkingly, her face straight until her eyes glanced sideways at the class, it was almost time for the lesson to end.

"Ten points to Geschick as for the potion, it is on page 8 to 9 of your textbook and you are to look at the ingredients list now, and prepare it for our next lesson, I will be testing it out then."
