Lesson One - First Years

Briony had not been up to much this summer break, mostly she had been spending time with Baby Raven and Richard, they were becoming close as a family and she was daring to hope that she was going to be able to have a normal family life as a result of the birth of her daughter, she would live and everything would be alright.

With a small sigh on her lips Briony had to admit that she was glad certain members of staff had left the school, they were altogether useless and their lessons were substandard...most of the time.

Sighing lightly she rested her head on the back of her chair and waited for the students to arrive, the lesson topic on the board;

'Practical Duelling - Finding your Weapon.'

Caelum was nervous and jittery as he walked along to his lesson, though he put on a confident and relaxed façade. That was Caelum's strong point, the ability to look totally calm, cool and collected whilst he was a wreck on the inside. Because all he could think about was Capella, all alone in that big manor.

He walked into the classroom and sat up the back of the classroom in the corner, waiting for his first lesson to start.

Briony noticed that there was only one first year in her class at the moment and although she did not mind it for this one lesson she knew it was going to get very very tiresome when it became a regular occurence. With a small sigh she stood up and looked at the boy, he was a relative of Miss Malfoy in the older years.

"Welcome to Hogwarts Mr. Malfoy," she said quietly "Today we will be looking at physical aspects of fighting, have you had any weapons training before? Or are you a completely fresh start?"

Hoping that it would be the latter, Briony waited patiently for a response.

"Sorry if I'm late,"I said as I rushed in."I had to wrestle my text book from my cat."I held up a badly scratched text book as proof and then sat down.

Briony, when the girl opened the door and sat down, walked over to her and picked up her book with a smirk, it did seem as if the cat had really gone to town on it, not like it mattered she was not going to get very far with the students this lesson anyway.

"Don't worry about it Melody, this has been a bit of a sit off lesson anyway...so you haven't missed anything, be sure to arrive on time next lesson however." she said with a stern look "The class is dismissed, next lesson we continue with physical duelling and weapons practice."
