Lesson 1, First Years (A)

Sofia was ready for the new year to start year with a new group of students. She had set out on a table next to the door with a sign that said please take one and take a seat.

Syllabus- Year 1

Week 1- What is Astronomy
Week 2- History of Astronomy
Week 3- Early Astronomy
Week 4- Chinese Astronomy

Sofia took her seat and did some meditating waiting for the class to arrive

"Hello Professor,"I said and I walked in and sat down at the front of the room and waited for the others to get here.I was feeling nervous and I wondered if I should have chosen a different class but I tried not to look nervous.

Sofia looked up when she noticed a student walk into the classroom and say hello to her,

"Well hello to you to Ms. Lovegood and welcome to Astronomy." Sofia said with a smile.

"What do you wish to learn from my class?"

I thought hard about that.I wasn't really sure.
"Um,whether or not there are aliens?"I said uncertainly blushing slightly.

Sofia had to laugh a little at Ms. Lovegoods questions.

"Well I personally have not met any, so I cannot say whether or not they are out there." Sofia smiled

"How about you tell me what you do know about Astronomy?"

"The universe is believed to be endless and stars are really suns like ours," I said."The stars can be read to tell the future and far off planets and galaxies can be see though telescopes."

Sofia knew about stars because she had learned that from Cain about the reading of the stars.

"Stars a little different than our Sun, but I am still learning about reading the future in the stars. That is not really my trade."

Sofia wondered about this girl just a little, "So what do you know about reading the future from the stars."

I shrugged.
"I don't know much really,"I said."I know the names of the planets and constellations."

Sofia smiled at MS. Lovegood, "Well it is a good thing you are king my class because then I will teach you the things you don't know and the things you would like to know."

Sofia smiled and excused the girl for the class, and ran to check on something.
