Lesson One - Fourth Years Empty Lesson One - Fourth Years

Post by Natasha Willow Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:46 pm

Natasha was rather proud of her handiwork for this lesson. Instead of the usually grassy clearing where she held their lessons, Natasha had created a small pond that was a good twenty five feet in diameter and depth.

Floating in the center was a beautiful creature that looked like a white mare. Natasha loved all creatures, but made sure not to trust them. After all, they were still creatures. She had made sure to place a special enchantment around the pond. This one was to keep the students from falling in, not the creature getting out.

Seeing that her bridle was secure, she waited for the students to arrive.

Lesson One - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fourth Years

Victoria secured her usual hood, thankful it was a shady day. As she walked down to the usual clearing she was amazed to see a small pond where they usually had class.

Walking closer, it was hard to concentrate on the creature in comparison to the appearance of a small little pond. It still amazed her what witches and wizards could do. It never ended.

Waiting for her classmates to arrive, she smiled at the professor.

Lesson One - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fourth Years

Charlotte had not really been to many care of Magical Creatures, she smiled gently and she saw that there was one other student there, Victoria, she liked her a lot, it was nice they seemed to have such a small class and she had not gotten a chance to know the new professor very well.

Standing next to Victoria she waited for other people to arrive or for the lesson to begin.

Lesson One - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fourth Years

Natasha smiled at her two students. She'd gotten used to the dwindling numbers in attendance, and figured she'd teach whoever showed up.

Moving over to the pool, she gestured to the horse-like creature. "This is a Kelpie. While it looks like a horse right now, it actually has the ability to shapeshift into other forms. Even the supposed sea-serpent Loch Ness Monster is, in reality, a Kelpie."

Seeing the adoration in the eyes of her students at this beautiful creature, she continued. "She is lovely, but quite deadly. They use their looks to lure people into riding them, and then proceed to drown and devour them."

She knew it was a gruesome description, but they needed to have the right amount of fear. "For today, please take notes on the creature, and maybe even take a sketch. Using those and the text, I would like 50 words on the Kelpie for next lesson."

Zara began running to class realising that she was now running late. She could hear the professor talking about some creature.

Finally making it to class, she noticed the beautiful creature in the pond. But hearing the last few words from the professor, she now realised it was a very dangerous creature.
