Haley beamed as Tess walked over. She couldn't see that it was Tess, but she just noticed by the way she was walking, how skinny she was and stuff like so. "Hey there miss amazing," she said happily, "You look like you're ready to kick some ass."

She then smiled as another walked over. She wasn't a hundred percent sure who it was, but it was one going as a vampire. Then Tess said 'Victoria' and Haley grinned. "Hey Victoria. You look very vampiristic," she said jokingly, "And by that, I of course mean amazing."

Tess winked and smiled, her cheeks flushing despite her confidence. Her confidence was new, something that she wasn't always having it.

"I always am Haley, I always am" she said flipping her hair back in mock arrogance.

It was nice that she managed to find two good friends in a sea of many. She bit back a giggle at the adjective that Haley told towards Victoria, 'vampiristic' now wasn't that true she thought with a smirk.

"I think I see Luke coming" she commented smiling.

Flicking his tongue to his stuck fangs, he grinned at the mirror before him. He had done all of this for her. Taking a deep breath he looked at himself; he was a stereotypical count. Count Dracula that is. His hair was slicked back, his face was now pale, and his fangs gleaming as he grinned.

His vest was rich red, countering the white shirt, and the long black cloak that trailed behind him. Slipping his slick black shoes, he rushed down towards the Great Hall.

As he pushed the doors opened, he was at first overcome by all the colors and costumes, but his eyes zoomed in towards Victoria and he took a deep breath. He ignored his reddening cheeks, especially because he remembered the kiss.

Walking towards her table, he noticed two other girls, at first he didn't recognize them, but he realized one was Tess in a costume of a cat? He tilted his head at the out of character but smiled politely and turned to smile at the girl he never met before.

"Mind if I take a seat?"

Haley laughed at Tess' self esteem. She then smiled to Victoria and then looked up as Tess said she saw someone coming. She knew who that was. Count Dracula. She grinned slightly and shot a look at Victoria again; an admirer? She then looked up. She wouldn't have known it to be Luke if she hadn't hear Tess say it. Not that she knew him that well either way. She smiled back to him as he smiled to her.

"Feel free," she said waving to the vacant chairs around.

She then grinned. "Well, two vampires, a cat and a swan. Nice combo," she said sweetly.

Senium shook her head with a small giggle on her lips, she could not help but wonder what the story was that Humphrey was supposed to be from, it sounded as if he liked it and it might be something that she should read if she wanted to talk about something he liked with him.

"I'm not really scared of you no, you're Humphrey after all no matter what you look like." she smiled gently "Rumbled? Oh I'm sorry, it means, you found me out!"

Blushing a little bit, Senium placed a hand on her cheek to try and cool it down;

"I see, maybe you shoudl lend me the book so I can read it over the next holidays, we could talk about it after I've finished." she smiled happily before nodding "I would love to dance with you!"

Veronica entered the Great Hall. It was her first time at Hogwarts, and she was having a really great time. She thought she'd have an even better time when they announced that there would be a Halloween Ball. She quickly started sewing up a costume a few days before (she couldn't afford to buy one) and finished it just today.

She put the costume on and had just enough time to prepare her hair and makeup. Afterwards, Veronica had already headed into the Great Hall. She looked at the decorations. The Headmistress did a really great job.

She smiled widely and looked around. There were a lot of fourth years, but Veronica saw a first year, who was also in Ravenclaw. Veronica had no friends yet, so she decided to sit down for a while. She walked to one of the empty tables and sat down.

"Oh, I see how it is. So Humphrey doesn't scare you, interesting, not a bad thing I suppose." Humphrey mused. "Well of course I found you out, I only had to look for the prettiest girl here. Didn't take too long to find her." he said, winking at her. She really, truly was the prettiest girl here in his opinion.

Senium was blushing, and he absolutely loved it. "You do know you are even more beautiful when you blush, right?" Humphrey asked.

"Perhaps I should, and then after you read it maybe we can watch the movie sometime. If you manage to find a way to come to my house I'm sure my aunt wouldn't mind us watching it. Have you ever seen a movie? They are kind of like the moving pictures, except instead of a couple seconds it takes normally an hour and a half or longer. The people in the pictures talk, and interact with one another. They try and make it as life-like as possible, they are quite fun." he explained, because he was guessing she hadn't seen any films.

Taking her hand, he pulled his lovely girlfriend out to the cleared area of the hall. "Glad you want to, because dancing is the best. Gives me an excuse to get close to you." Putting an arm around Senium's with his right, and taking her right hand in his left, they started to dance. "I think I could get used to this, we may need to dance more often."

Briony smiled lightly when she saw Richard walking into the hall, they had decided to dress up as characters from the book Alice in Wonderland, although she didn't think she quite suited the character of Alice so she'd chosen otherwise.

"Wow you look completely different Rich, I think that I might just keep you this way." she teased with a small smirk before kissing him on the cheek.

Moving behind the Professors table, Briony picked up Raven from her cot and poked her gently on the nose, they had dressed her as the Cheshire Cat to go with their theme.

As soon as she saw Lucia walk up to them, Briony raised an eyebrow and as she turned to walk away she merely called out after her, as she really did have no idea; "Who exactly are you supposed to be Lucia?"

Richard chuckled a little bit. He'd worked his transfiguration magic, literally, on this outfit to make it the best that he could. Doing another little twirl, he bowed and took his hat off to her for a second before putting it back in place firmly,

"I like to think I did a good job, thank you for saying so my queen." he teased back before pouting a little bit, "Personally I don't think I'm the kind of person to go for hats. This one is annoying me already!"

He moved behind the professor table to see their little Raven as well. Smiling, he stroked the baby girl's cheek before kissing Briony on the cheek. It felt good to be a father. He chuckled a little bit at the interaction between Lucia and Briony,

"I don't know either meine leibling but..." he tilted his head to the side, "Is the person from muggle popular music?"

Lucia still felt a bit stupid for just walking up to Briony and talking to her like nothing was wrong. But a flood of relief, even if they were mocking her for her costume, washed over her when Briony asked who she was meant to be. Lucia turned and looked at the small, beautiful baby-girl. She then gave a soft smile to both of the adults.

"Yes, she's a muggle. Her name is Lady Gaga, and I swear, there is no one in the world who scares me more than her. So I figured it would be a good choice on Halloween," she said lightly with a shrug.

"And you two surely outdid yourselves," she said honestly, "I love Alice in Wonderland."

She wasn't sure whether or not to stay or walk away, but she decided on the first; that much backbone she ought to have.

Briony realised just how lonely she had become without someone to talk to besides her husband, Lucia was a good friend and had made a mistake however large that mistake was, cutting off her nose to spite her face was not something Briony was going to do.

When she was told who she actually was she raised her eyebrows but let a bemused smirk play on her lips;

"No wonder I had no idea who the woman was, although I do have to agree with you that she is rather strange looking, and thats compared to Richard's costume."

Looking down at Raven then back at Lucia she asked; "Would you like to hold her?"

Xander jogged into the Great Hall. It looked like only a handful of people had shown up to begin with. And besides that, he knew he was extremely late.

Xander wasn't used to dressing in costume for Halloween. Just traditional suits or tuxes. He'd been inspired by the talked he'd had with Tess, and their shared love of sword fighting. He'd found his costume in a shop. It was made of really good material, and he was thankful for that.

He walked over to a group, recognizing Luke in his Dracula costume. He hadn't been able to keep from laughing his head off at Luke's boldness. He was distracted by dark curls and a tight leather suit.

He thought he recognized the way she moved. Taking her hand from behind, he linked his fingers with hers. "And who are you supposed to be?"

Airen looked around and noticed that not many people were dancing yet. He listened as a slow and romantic song came on. Turning to his date, he bowed deeply and offered Charlotte his hand.

"Might I trouble the fair maiden for a dance?" he asked in his best Posh voice.

Tess jumped as she felt someone's hand over hers, but as she looked back, her cheeks flushed realizing who it was. She leaned up and kissed his cheek happy that he had made it, sure he was late, but at least he made it.

"I'm Catwoman" she said winking.

Victoria blushed when she caught Haley's look. Apparently Luke's gesture was a little obvious.

While he seemed to be distracted, Victoria moved slightly faster than normal to stand behind him. She leaned down and whispered in his ear. "I'm shaking in my stockings, Dracula. Care to dance?"

She couldn't hide the smirk that showed a little fang. Holding her hand out, she waited for him to join her before moving to the dance floor.

Luke knew that it was taking a chance, but honestly, he wanted to show that he wasn't joking when he said if he had to he would wear fangs. He smiled brightly at her and grabbed her hand.

"I'd love to Countess" he teased in return.

He tugged her towards the dance floor and placed his hands on her waist lightly as he swayed to the music with her. He wanted to be confident, be the one to help them move forward. Leaning down he whispered to her.

"You look gorgeous"

Charlotte smiled happily when Airen asked her to dance, she of course could never say no to such a request and with a happy grin on her lips she nodded her head, holding her hand out for him to take and trying her best not to laugh at the posh accent that he had on when he had asked her.

"Why of course I would love to dance with you Air!" she smiled happily, giggling a little "I get better and better each ball we go to."

Airen smiled and threaded his fingers with hers. He lead her gently to the dance floor. He placed a hand on her waist and with another, he linked their fingers together. They started a slow waltz and just kept at it from there. He smiled as he remembered how they had danced at many of the other balls.

"And I always enjoy being your dancing partner. You do know that if you want to dance with some one else, you only need to ask?" he said, hoping he wasn't cutting into her social life too much.

Lucia gave a laugh at what Briony said. The Mad Hatter had nothing on Lady Gaga? Well, in a sense, there was truth in that. At least the Mad Hatter actually took on clothes. She was a bit happy that Briony seemed to be trying to keep the conversation going, and Lucia took that as an invitation to staying where she was and talking to them.

"The difference between the two is that the Mad Hatter is awesome. Lady Gaga isn't," she said with a grin.

She was very surprised when Briony looked from Raven and over to Lucia again, asking if she wanted to hold her. Lucia couldn't help a very small and serene smile from spreading on her lips. She nodded. "I would be delighted," she said softly, "As long as you don't mind her seeing something like this costume," she added with a joking grin.

Briony could not help but crack a smile and she nodded her head, it was certainly true that the Mad Hatter was 'awesome' at least she actually knew who the person was, although she was sure that it sprung from her husbands love of Tim Burton films that she knew it.

"I didn't want to be the one to say it but." she said with a small smirk "At least I actually knew who Richard was supposed to be, if only because he made me watch the new muggle film that came out."

With a roll of her eyes towards her husband she held Raven out to be taken by Lucia, a small smirk crossing her lips and she shook her head when she asked if she minded letting Raven see the costume;

"Don't worry, she's seen worse, like Richard's 'I'm not fully awake face' at 3 am."

Lucia gave a laugh and smiled softly. "I can't imagine you sitting down and watching Alice in Wonderland, but I sure don't think it would be the worst image in the world. Rather a funny one," she said joyously.

She then placed the tiny Raven into her arms, cradling her, making sure her head was supported. She was absolutely beautiful. Lucia's smile turned up more and she made small baby noises. Then Lucia chuckled.

"Ah, not quite awake. Yeah, that could be worse than Lady Gaga," Lucia pointed out thoughtfully, not looking up from Raven.

"She is truly beautiful. A sight for sore eyes," Lucia said happily.
