Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake Tue Jun 26, 2012 1:06 am

Raven was in a slightly bad mood, she had remained grumpy since she had made the deal with Crepens, she was going to drain her magic reserves so that she could give this one ghost some form of a chance with his crush? This was seemingly so pointless...

The links with the Ministry however, was something that she could not overlook and she smirked lightly when she thought about it, her home would be left alone for her to use as she wished, and house what she wished, which is what she had always wanted.

Without her knowing Raven's lips had twisted into a rather wicked smile that stayed on her lips as she wrote up the lesson plans on the board;

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Christielle van Gysel Tue Jun 26, 2012 6:19 pm

Christielle entered the Potions classroom, eager for today's lesson. She wasn't quite eager to meet the instructor, Lehrer Drake, though, as she looked rather scary.

"Good morning," she mumbled to lehrer Drake. As she made her way to her seat, Christielle noticed another wicked smile on Lehrer Drake's face.

Creepy.

She sat down and opened her book to the correct page. "Babbling Beverage - causes the speaker to babble nonsense." she read quietly. She looked at the door, hoping someone would enter. She didn't want to be left here, alone, under the watching eyes of the instructor.

Potions was always interesting, he loved brewing different things. Also, their professor was quite odd, and kind of creepy. He liked her though, she was very different from the other professors. "Morning Professor Drake, how are you?" Lars asked.

Taking a seat next to Christielle, he opened his book to the correct page. Hmm, causes whoever drinks it to start babbling nonsense. "This could be a fun potion, what do you think Christielle?" Lars asked her quietly.

Christielle looked up as Lars walked in. She couldn't believe he said 'good morning' to Lehrer Drake. Maybe it was just that aura inside the lehrer which makes Christielle... not really like her. Then she turned to Lars.

"Oh, yes. The babbling beverage causes the drinker to babble nonsense. I'd like to try these on some people. Like that other guy..." she replied, but the last sentence was more to herself.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Raven saw that most of the class was there and she smirked slightly, kicking the rock away from the door and beginning to look at the students in turn, of course she hadn't forgotten what they would be doing this lesson, no far from it, and she tapped the board with her wand.

With that she moved back to the board and tapped it:

"Teams of two. Complete these instructions. You have until the end of the lesson."

'Ingredients:

Powdered Root of Asphodel (1 teaspoon)
Wormwood (2 twigs)
Eye of Newt (2 small ones or 1 large)
Tube Worms (3)
Erumpant Exploding Fluid (4 drops)

1. Add the tube worms one at a time to the base potion when your cauldron is on a medium heat only
2. Take your ladel and stir the potion three times clockwise, wait for it to turn translucent
3. Crumble the wormwood and add to the potion, it must be a fine powder
4. Leave the potion for 5 minutes and turn the heat up to full
5. Then add the eye of newt you have collected and wait for the potion to turn orange in colour
6. This is the DANGEROUS part, turn the heat right down to add the exploding fluid, add one drop at a time, waiting one minute intervals between each ingredient.'

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two- Second Years

Post by Lucienne Adler Sun Jul 01, 2012 5:16 pm

Lucienne opened the door, she slightly bowed her head to the professor as she walked inside. She found a seat two seats away from the other students. She didn't want to make friends this early, she was more of a...loner.

Lucienne sat down, she read what was on the board. She followed every single step. Lucienne looked at the other students once in a while. She wanted to talk to any of them, but she was still very shy.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:32 pm

Raven looked at the student as she came into the classroom, she was late, late and had not bothered to tell her that she was sorry for being so, and then she made the potion on her own, not in a group of two like she had been instructed by herself.

Eyes narrowing and turning from their purple colour to a dark black, she walked silently over to the girl and barked in her ear; "ADLER!"

When she knew that she had her attention Raven took her potion and smashed it on the floor, glaring at the child and trying to contain her urge to get one of her 'friends'to her.

"Detention, with me, tonight. Late and no apology? I instructed the potion to be made in a group of TWO, not on your own as well, 25 points from Geschick house. Lesson dismissed."

Slamming open the door to her class Raven pointed to it and hoped the students would leave, quickly.

Lars knew that when Miss Drake got angry it was best to get out of the way fast. She slammed open the door, and he gathered his things immedieately and left. He amde a note to himself never to be later to her class. Of course, he always tried not to be late, but especially wouldn't be for her class.
