Re: Up On The Roof
Tarragon did look in a lot of pain. The witch wondered if she should help him down to the fourth floor and to the medic's office or ask him to stay here and go fetch the kindly woman herself. Somehow, she didn't like the idea of leaving him all by himself. That monster and his wolf cub could come back.
"I'm sorry, Alys. I wasn't thinking. He shouldn't have said those things though. But it just led to him getting what he wanted."
"Please don't apologize," she said hastily. "The only one to blame for what happened was that thing. Now can you move, or should I go get the medic?" The witch had almost turned when Tarragon asked the next question.
"You're alive because of him... What does that mean, Alys?" He asked, his brow furrowed.
"No idea," the blonde said evenly, not looking directly at him. "Probably raving."

He could tell she was lying, but decided better than to bother her. She was anxious, worried and scared. He didn't blame her for feeling any of it, and definately didn't want to add to it. He sat up slowly, wincing and cursing with the pain.
"Just help me up, and I should be able to get down the stairs with a little help." He stated, offering his hand for her to pull him up.
Once on his feet Tarragon felt a little better with less pressure on his ribs. He could see Alys was hasty in trying to get off the roof, but he had to ask something.
"Alys, will you promise me to try to stay away from him? I'd hate for him to do something like this to you." He took her by the shoulders gently, as not to scare her. "Please promise me this, Alys?"
He didn't wait for an answer before he pulled her gingerly to his chest. He'd made the situation erupt into something it really shouldn't have been.
"Please..."

She watched Tarragon get to his feet, helping him as much as she could. Good thing she was tall few her age or she may never have been able to be of any help to the boy at all. She was glad he would eb able to make it down to the medic's, a lot of awkward questions could be avoided that way.
But then the blond turned to her with a serious expression, wanting her promise to never go near that jerk again. Alys was just about to reassure him that she wouldn't be caught dead anywhere near that horrid creature when Tarragon pulled her close, shutting her up effectively. A few second spassed s they remained thaat way, he wind whistling around them on the empty rooftop.
"Alright," Alys finally said pulling away. Tarragon still didn't seem appeased to she added "I promise. No one in their right mind would want to be around him anyway."

He smiled at her reassurance, he would try his best to keep her safe from Lukas, but he couldn't be around 24/7. He ushered her through the door, following as closely as he could with his condition. He had to stop every couple of steps to steady himself, the pressure of his ribs on his lungs made it difficult to breath and the jerk of each step only aggrevated the injury further. Alas, his first trip to the infirmary was within the first week of school, he supposed that was some kind of achievment on its own!
