Lesson Three - Second Years
Darcie had a lovely Christmas, she had spent the day itself with her father and then went to visit her friend Luther, she had thought that he would like to be around someone when it was Christmas as it didn't seem like he would have too many friends to call in on.
Now however she was more than happy to be back at school, it was good to be here again and she was glad that she had missed the rampage of Wraiths that raven lead through the school on Christmas.
Biting her lip she tapped her rainbow painted nails on the desk in front of her, she was so excited to begin the lesson today, turning she wrote on the board the lesson topic;
'Nightmare Spells'

Dark Arts was one of his favorite classes, always a lot to learn. Lars walked in and took a seat, then got out his parchment, quill, and ink well. Looking at the board, he noticed that they would be learning about nightmare spells. This would definitely be an interesting lesson.
"Hello Professor Vane, how was your break?" Lars asked her. She was one of his favorite professors, along with professor ddriag.

Christielle happily entered the room, relieved that lessons were finally here again. She greeted Lehrer Vane, waved at Lars, and sat on one of the seats. She looked at the board. Nightmare Spells. Let's just hope this would be interesting.
She opened her book to the right page and started reading a little, until Lehrer Vane started the class.

Darcie was beginning to get to know these students really very well and she was glad that she knew them through her classes, they really did work very hard, as of course she would know from the house that they were both in, Verstand.
"Hello again you two, as you can see today we are looking at Nightmare Spells, these spells are used to give people very severe hallucinations of their worst fear, in other words it is like a boggart in a spell, it plays on the victims worst fears."
She wrote this down on the board then turned back to the classroom; "Can any of you tell me which one of the house founders tried to create a very strong version of a nightmare spell?"

Christielle looked down at her book, trying to search for the right answer to the lehrer's question. "Er... is it Vikticus Steinergraft, founder of Mühe?" she guessed. She couldn't find the answer in the book.
But what exactly was the connection of Medusa's Stare with Nightmare Spells? Christi still had to find out what the correct answer was before she started thinking again.

Darcie's smile faultered a little as Lomasi entered the lesson, she was late but at least she had decided to come after all, deciding it would be best to speak to her at the end of the lesson, Darcie concentrated on what she was teaching at the moment.
Biting her lip a little Darcie smiled softly at Christielle;
"Good try Christielle, 5 points to Verstand, but the founder who developed it was called Cassendre Bernenstein and she was the founder as you know, of Risiko house. The spell she was developing had the effect of Medusa's stare because it harnessed the power of each individual's fear and would have turned it against them, in a physical not mental manner."
Writing this up on the board Darcie turned back to the class and smiled; "Who else on the Durmstrang staff do you think knows, and uses, nightmare spells in battle? Some of you might be taking their classes."
