Markuz grinned when Visperia teased him again. He liked this a lot, he loved being able to go out and just have fun again. It had been far too long.

"Yes of course! The one advantage would be peeking down my shirt at any time... But then again, that would get old eventually. Probably..."

"Women have it harder? I rather disagree. Get one kick in your privates as a man, and we'll talk again. Or if you wear pants, get it caught between your zipper. Just once! Just once and you'll immediatly understand why I happen to disagree with your statement."Markuz spoke. He really did hate the memories of when those things had happened to him. Even the memory caused phantom pain!

Markuz grimaced when Visperia asked him if he ever had considered politics as a potential career.

"I am very sure about this. If there is ever anything that would make you believe that it is not so, if ever you have a problem. Contact me. I will help you." Markuz spoke with a serious look. Visperia seemed to have a reason for doubting him. Judging from the face she briefly pulled, and the smirk that replaced it.

"I do not think politics would be a good career for me. I'd lose my patience during a debate and break the neck of my opponent." Markuz spoke with a half smirk. He'd done it before after all. Or at least, he'd tried. His second in command had held him back. It was the main reason why Markuz had never advanced further in the army.

Visperia rolled her eyes a little bit at what Markuz said, after all it was the answer that a teenage boy might give, which also reinforced the idea that boys, and men, didn't tend to have a grown up mind frame when it came to things like this, at any stage of their lives, no matter how old they are or mature they are in other areas.

"Well I have several things to come back at you with actually, the main one being, period pains, every month like clockwork and there's nothing you can do to stop them, unlike your example of getting things stuck in your zipper." Visperia smirked.

Raising an eyebrow a little bit, Visperia wondered if this offer was actually genuine, having Markuz around might be good for more than just friendship if it was, maybe she would actually be able to relax for once.

"If that's a genuine offer, then I will be sure to take it up with you in a few days time." she smiled gently.

With a small amused expression on her lips, Visperia chuckled gently and shook her head, the odd thing was, she could actually imagine Markuz doing something like that, he seemed to be that sort of man;

"I could see you actually doing that Markuz." she grinned.

Markuz saw Visperia roll her eyes. He grinned. It might have been juvenile, but he had warned her about his slightly perverted side. It was something he had developed years ago. It had been a way of coping. Now it was simply funny.

"Period pains are a valid point. I'm going to try and avoid this discussion by being diplomatic for once. I will tell you in advance that you had best not get used to it. But I think we can say that both men and women have their pros and cons." Markuz offered.

He couldn't help but flinch when he thought about the time when he had used a Brit as a human shield, only to get that guy his heel in his privates. He'd killed him as revenge for that though.

"That's a very genuine offer. I look out for my friends. If you need help, simply let me know. I will make time. In a few days, I will make sure to be available. If you want me to be at my most efficient though, try to arrange whatever you need me for to take place while the sun is in the sky."

Markuz grinned back at Visperia.

"Oh, there are some people who HAVE seen me do that. Or at least they saw me try to. Unfortunately, I was held back. I would have done the world a favor if I'd succeeded."

Visperia nodded her head with a cat like smirk on her lips, she liked the way that they were able to playfully converse with one another, it made her feel like she was once again part of society, after being so alone for all that time, she still could not get used to the feeling.

"Well I am quite used to diplomatic answers, so I think that I shall take that as the best that I am going to get and move on with the conversation to a less...painful topic." she grinned playfully.

Tilting her head to one side, Visperia poured another glass of wine, and held it out to Markuz, in a gesture that seemed to ask if he wanted to have a top up of his glass also;

"I don't know what kind of life threatening situations you think that you can plan, but I'll try and make sure that the guys are punctual for you." she chuckled a little bit "But why of a afternoon? What is is bad about the nighttime?"

Intrigued by what Markuz had said, she waited eagerly to hear his answer.

Markuz smirked at Visperia's choice of words. Maybe not so very subtle, but quite amusing indeed.

"Indeed, it's a fair deal. Now for another topic... What are your hobbies? I do believe that hasn't come up yet."

When Visperia held out the wine, silently asking Markuz if he wanted another glass as well, Markuz grinned. With a content nod, he got another glass. Taking a small sip, Markuz let out a pleased sigh. This wine truly is great.

"Why the kind were you are acting formal in public, knowing that the situation can erupt into combat at any time of course. And the one where you agree on a time and place to settle this once and for all. Then there are the situations in which you are the attacker. And finally there's knowingly walking into a trap or offering an open target." Markuz swiftly listed.

With a small grin, he sat back. Oh yes, quite a few things could be planned. All you need is preparation and experience.

Sighing, Markuz looked at Visperia. He didn't really like informing people of his weakness. But he had brought the subject up himself.

"I have a permanent injury. I was hit by a Nightly Torture Spell during my duty in the army. Although I did apply a counter, my knee hurts from sundown untill sunrise. It does not influence my muscles or bones, but it does lower my pain threshold. There are no cures for it, so that is why I suggest daylight. I am more efficient then."

Leaning back, Markuz looked at his cane for a second. He needed a cane at 34! Markuz didn't do self pity, but he did loathe himself for not noticing that blasted Brit.

Visperia raised her eyebrow when Markuz asked her about her hobbies, when she was in the solitude that she was in all she really needed to do was to occupy herself with helping the French Government, they had a lot of problems to have some help with after all.

"Well apart from helping out the Government, which takes up a lot of my time, I also enjoy collecting wines as you know, and I also enjoy taking some small day trips to America, a country that I have always been intrigued with."

Blinking a little bit, Visperia did not appreciate being spoken to like she was an idiot about a situation that she knew very well. She had been in the bloody situation for about thirteen years after all! Not letting her anger show on the outside, she placed the glass of wine down on the table.

"I am well aware of all of these things, however, you know as well as I that in situations like this things don't exactly go quite to plan and you only get one shot at it." she smiled, sweetly.

Visperia hummed gently and nodded her head at Markuz's explanation it made sense after all;

"Well that must be annoying." was all she came back with.
