Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Lesson Four - Second Years

Richard whistled away behind his desk as he waited for his students. He had a very exciting lesson planned for them today and he hoped that they enjoyed what he was going to show them because it was all going to be useful stuff today.

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Post by Senium Nex Wed Jul 25, 2012 4:17 am

Senium wandered into the lesson, albiet a little stiffly, and she looked up at the professor with a small smile on her lips, she was very happy to be back in lessons once more, and she hoped that the lesson that she was in today was going to be interesting.

Over the years she found the topics getting more and more interesting and she knew that it was most likely going to get more challenging when she started third year, but she was looking forward to it.

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Marylin waltzed confidently into the classroom, of course she knew that she was going to be able to master all of the material in the lesson today, she didn't even know what it was and she knew that she was going to be able to accomplish everything that they were taught.

Flipping her hair back from her face, she surveyed the student and the professor with a warm eye, a light smile on her lips as she placed all of her stuff neatly on the desk in front of her, waiting for the lesson to begin.

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Nicholas walked into the classroom with a small grimace. He was slightly late because the damned stairs had changed on him. His mother had warned his about the stairs but she hadn't mentioned how god damn annoying they really were.

Seeing an open space for him, Nicholas sat down between a ravenclaw and a slytherin. The slytherin girl he'd seen before, she was in his potions and Occulmency classes. He took out his materials and got ready to learn.

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Smiling at his class he sat on the edge of his desk facing them,

"Now I know that quite a number of you don't want to be leaving for the summer this year." he shrugged a little bit, "God knows why school and homework is more fun but it's your choice."

He clapped his hands together with a happy grin,

"Now! You all remember how I let you make talking animals in your end of year lesson last year right?" He smirked, "Well we're going to be doing something along the same lines. You're going to be making... your own cat. Not just any cat either. I'm going to get you to make your own tiger cub! It won't grow up though I'm afraid so it'll stay playful and cute forever."

Now here was the really good part, thought Richard as he held up a finger,

"One more thing before we get started..." he smirked, "I've gotten special permission from the ministry for magic. You can use this spell whenever you like, even over the summer."

Moving over to the blackboard, Richard slipped into teacher mode again,

"The incantation is Emotstativ." he turned to the class, "Pronounced Emote-stat-iv. Emote-stat-iv."

Seeing that he was understood he continued,

"The wand movements are as follows..." He waited till he had everyone's attention before showing the movements as he spoke, "One clockwise spin, followed by one anti-clockwise spin, a downward flick and then draw your wand upwards in a straight line."

He nodded to his class,

"Practive the incantation five times, WITHOUT USING THE WAND MOTIONS." he told them, "And then practice the wand movements five times, WITHOUT THE INCANTATION."

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Post by Senium Nex Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:54 pm

Senium almost squeaked out loud when she heard that they were going to be making a tiger cub today and she loved the idea of being able to use the spell during the holidays, maybe she could test herself ad see how many tigers she could make?

She would finally be able to show her Grandpapa some of the magic that she had been learning in classes, maybe he would let her keep one of the cubs too?

Nodding Senium noted down the incantation and the wand movements, before repeating;

'Emotstativ, Emotstativ, Emotstativ. Emotstativ, Emotstativ."

Once she was sure that she had the hang of the incantation, Senium smiled and she practiced the wand movements, One clockwise spin, followed by one anti-clockwise spin, a downward flick and then draw your wand upwards in a straight line. Repeating this five times, Senium waited to be told what to do next.

Lesson Four - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Second Years

Marylin's eyes glinted and she smiled, inside however she smirked, when she was told that they were making a tiger cub in this lesson, maybe she could adapt the spell and figure out how to create a proper full size tiger, it would be handy if those German scum decided to attack her again.

Listening to the instructions she noted them down in her swirly handwriting, before she then completed them, one by one like she had been instructed to do by her head of house.

'Emotstativ, Emotstativ, Emotstativ. Emotstativ, Emotstativ."

Once she Marylin had done this, she smiled sweetly and she practiced the wand movements, One clockwise spin, followed by one anti-clockwise spin, a downward flick and then draw your wand upwards in a straight line. Repeating this five times, Marylin waited to be told what to do next.
