Othala grew up with her family, living in a large manor house, she was happy for the first few years of her life and she was showered with gifts and attention from all of her family. However when she turned five years old she was branded with her first sets of runic tattoo's in an extremely painful process and placed in an underground room for the rest of her life, up until she was given the acceptence letter to Durmstrang Institute.

Now she is at Durmstrang she hoped to make several new changes to her life, although with her lack of communication and speech skills, she doesn't think that many people would find her an amiable friend, or have the pacience to talk to her.
