An examination of the Whomping Willow (Open)

Joshua was hiding in the bush's pen and paper in hand examining the Whomping Willow "I see...Boy it's a good thing it can't hear me or it would get me..." Joshua said. "Now it must have someway of detecting threat's."

"Hi Melody i'm just getting trying something new the book's only say so much about the Willow i'm watching it to see what i can find out." Joshua explained.

"Well there's all hole under it that lead's to the Shrieking Shack" Joshua said
looking at Melody "But I can't get close enough to get in and i would be leaving the school that could go on my record..." Joshua said.

Marylin had been walking through the grounds of Hogwarts, her ballerina shoes crunching on the grass as she approached the Whomping Willow, but when she saw that there were some people waiting by the tree, almost watching the tree as if it was going to perform tricks like a clown if they watched it long enough.

Smiling to herself, Maryling couldn't pass up this oppertunity to find out exactly what they were doing, so she wandered over to them and tilted her head as she looked at the tree;

"So, what exactly are we waiting for it to do?" she asked, before glancing at her nails and pulling some blades of grass from her shoes.

Marylin hummed lightly and she looked at the tree, it seemed that the branches of the tree were swaying too and fro in the wind, it was kind of mesmorising to watch however she really didn't see the interest in watching a tree move.

"And what are you examining the tree, for?" she asked the boy, with a raised eyebrow "I'm Marylin Mason by the way, Second Year Slytherin student."

Of course the Mason family were pure bloods, and she knew that some families might know of them, however, she was not sure if the families these students were from, would know.

Marylin nodded to the both of the students in front of her, so they were both Ravenclaws? Maybe they knew each other from the common room or something, since they were from different years within in the school. Tilting her head to one side, she hummed;

"Do you two know each other from the common room?" she asked "The Slytherin common room is so dull, nobody is ever there, it might as well be any old room for all it's worth."

"We just kinda meet up now and then but yeah we see each other in the common room." Joshua explained
"Your common room might be dull but...maybe you could do something to liven it up?" Joshua asked.

Marylin nodded her head and sighed a little bit, she wished that she had a Slytherin friend that she could converse with, not one of those wishy washy Slytherins either, so many of the members of her house now, were just so weak and tame.

At the suggestion that she do something to liven the common room up she arched her eyebrow at Joshua and she smiled gently, placing an even tone to her voice;

"What would you suggest that I do? Some sort of bake sale?" she grinned/

"Well...um...oh I know! Maybe if you clean the place up a bit...or you could get some books!" Joshua said thoughtfully.

Marylin tilted her head to one side, she supposed the throwing a party idea would be a good one, maybe she would even be able to get to know some Slytherins and see if they were of the same mindset that she was, although she doubted that they would be.

"Well I have to say although I do not very much like the idea of getting more books, although you are a Ravenclaw so that suggestion would make sense, I like the concept of having some sort of party."

Sitting down on the grass Marylin smirked internally, oh the fun that she would have at a party like this one! "Would you be interested in coming if I hosted it for all the students? After all it could be a pleasant occasion."

Marylin blinked in disbelief when both of the Ravenclaws told her that they had never been to a party before, it was quite unbelievable, however it was something that she had never heard of before but then again, perhaps they were not operating in the same social circles as herself.

"Well then, that is odd, were you never invited to children's parties when you both attended primary school?" she asked, tilting her head to one side "Anyway, if I did create a party I would certainly let you both know so that you could attend, I would like to have you there."

Marylin hid a devious smile, of course she was used to hiding such things by now, they normally gave people a scare, or at least put them on edge when she gave them the smile. Although they were not allowed in her common room, she was sure that she could get them in, she could be very...persuasive when needs be.

"Well we could simply hold it in the student common room instead of the Slytherin Common Room, after all, I want people to actually turn up to this party." she hummed, flicking her hair behind her shoulder.

Marylin's smile unnerved Melody out and she wondered if the girl was planning something.
"Joshua I think I know how you can get into the Shrieking Shack without leaving school grounds.In muggle science fiction movies they sometimes use small flying cameras to record stuff in places where they wouldn't fit but electronics don't work on the Hogwarts grounds because all the magic blocks it out somehow but if you created or found a magic version of that you could have it sneak out of the grounds for you and then look over what it recorded when it got back to Hogwarts."

Marylin raised her eyebrow when the girl, Melody, ignored what she had said and simply changed the subject, how rude could a girl be, she didn't even let her expression change when she was thinking about enrolling them in her club that she was planning on making. Guess they could wave goodbye to that.

"I am pretty sure there's a charm for that, if you look hard enough in the library that is." Marylin frowned at Melody, before fixing Joshua with a small smile and gazing at the Whomping Willow in the distance "Or you could just go there yourself, no silly charm or camera needed."
