Insanity Is Bliss (Dora & Seffi)

Pandora dropped her blade into the ice, watching as it cracked through it and stuck there, sending cracks everywhere. She tilted her head in fascination and knelt down on the ice, pulling her knife out and then dragging it along and drawing an image of death on the ice surface, before she dug her knife in a cricle around it and pushed her foot down, submerging the ice in freezing water. She lifted her foot up again and walked off the ice, bored with it already.

She sat down on the grass and dug the blade lightly into her elbow, tipping her arm so the blood trickled downwards in a perfect river against her pale skin. The blood dripped onto the grass, staining the green red. She let her arm drop again and laid back against the grass, staring up at the sky. "Bored." She muttered to herself grumpily.

Seffi was in utter disbelief, she had just found out that her best friend was actually a figment of her imagination, and she had found herself doubting everything else that she was thinking, was this whole place a figment of her imagination? What was real and what was fake? How could she know?!

In an attempt to clear her head she was decided to walk down to Das Eis, the warm weather outside made her feel a little happier and she tried to make sure that she thought about different things to keep her mind off the problems she was going through. If it was a fantasy, why not enjoy it?

Spotting a student sitting by the lake, Seffi wandered over to her and gasp when she saw that she was bleeding;

"Are you okay?" she asked, concerned "You're bleeding!"

Pandora toyed with her knife, pricking herself several times on the hand - not that she cared. She'd been trained since birth to deal with pain, so that if she was ever in it she wouldn't notice it so acutely like others did. Whilst sticking her knife into her arm would make other scream or cry, she just found it an enjoyable sensation.

She liked it better when the ground was layered with snow, for the blood red staining the white was a far pretty sight than drops of blood on grass. In fact, that was a rather boring sigh to look at. She flicked her blade, splattering some left over drops over the ice. That looked far better.

Pandora looked up in surprise as someone approached her.

"I'm perfectly fine. I did it myself, see?" She held out her blade and then stuck it into her skin again, showing that she was fine. She pulled the blade away again and wiped it clean on the grass.

Seffi began to feel vaugely sick that the girl was doing all of this by herself and didn't seem to feel any pain whatsoever, it was very weird to see the blood dripping out of her wounds and not have her being in pain, or even worried about what was going on.

Biting her lip she nodded her head and sat down on the grass next to the girl, hoping to avoid all the spatters of blood that she had placed on the green blades, she didn't want to get her clothes stained with blood after all.

"Uhm, well if you say so..." she muttered quietly "My name's Seffi by the way, Seffi Dresner, who are you? I haven't seen you around before, are you a transfer student or something?" Seffi asked, with a small tilt of her head.

Try as she might, Pandora was not the kind of girl who could come across as normal. Though she showed no signs that she knew magical skills others did not, she still wasn't very normal acting. What with the cutting herself and such, and not even out of depression. Just because she was bored.

Pandora smiled as the girl sat beside her, pleased that she didn't find her too creepy or weird to sit beside. Maybe Pandora could learn how to behave like a normal child from this girl?

"It doesn't hurt at all," she said with another smile. She nodded her head as Seffi introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, i'm Pandora Lovett. Oh no, I just mostly keep to myself." She explained.

Seffi smiled gently and she just attempted to ignore the blood, after all she wasn't a big fan of it, and the coppery smell that tinged the air was making her feel a little woosy but she thought that she should stay with this girl, Pandora until she was at least sure that she wasn't going to topple over from blood loss.

"But what about all the blood you're loosing, does that not make you feel sick and dizzy?" she asked, now getting more and more interested in the girl in front of her, her elusiveness and her strange ability were very intruging.

With a small grin Seffi asked; "What house are you in Pandora, maybe we've been in the same one all along we just have never bumped into each other?"

Pandora was pleased to see that cutting herself wouldn't be considered abnormal, though it was. However, Seffi choosing to ignore it only encouraged Pandora to continue this behaviour as it had not received any strange looks or comments, other than the one of concern Seffi had first given.

"Not really. You get used to it after a while, it's actually rather nice to watch the blood trickle down my skin. Like a river, see? A river of blood against the snow. I'm not loosing that much blood, either." She tilted her arm downwards and watched the blood slide down once more to demonstrate her red river idea.

Pandora smiled back at Seffi. She was pleased with the way this conversation was turning out. "I'm in Geschick, and yourself?"

Seffi only didn't talk about the cutting because she had absolutely no idea how to approach the conversation, she had really hoped that she would be able to stop Pandora from hurting herself, but if she said that it was a pleasurable experience and didn't hurt at all, who was she to stop her from doing it?

Even if it was making her feel ever so slightly ill...

"W-well it certainly does look like a river when you tilt your arm down like that, but, wont a professor make you go and see the new nurse when they see you hurt?" she asked before smiling softly when the subject was changed "I'm in Muhe house, a third year, what classes did you take?"
