Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Lesson One - Fifth Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Sat Aug 11, 2012 5:01 am

Cobalt sighed a little bit as he sat behind his desk. The state of the wizarding world was changing rapidly and when war was thrown into the mix that was seldom a good thing. Not for the first time he wondered to himself whether or not the children he taught would use the skills he taught them to do the smart thing and to run and hide, never to be found.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Charlotte hurried into the classroom, she was more than a little worried about the OWLS that she woudl be having to take this year, however she knew that if she revised well enough that she would be able to do well in the exams, the problem was getting herself to actually believe that.

With a small sigh she sent a smile at the professor, before getting out all of her books and flipping a few pages into the text books, to give her something to keep her mind occupied with before the lesson started, it would be a while she thought, as she was the first one here.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Anette came into the classroom and took her place. She was a little bit upset because of the end of the holidays, but still she was glad to see some of her friends. They had no opportunity to talk in the common room and Anette hoped to learn all the last news after the lesson.

- Please, - she thought, - do not ask us any questions. I have no idea what to answer.

She had lovely holidays, thus she had no knowledge in her head.

Airen happily made his way to the Infiltration classroom. He had to mark this class as one of his top favorites. Second, maybe, to dueling. He opened the door and made his way to his seat. He gave Charlotte a quick smile before he sat down next to her.

"Good morning, Professor," he greeted. He noticed the topic on the board. The smile on his face quickly vanished. He placed two fingers to his forehead. The memories flashed by and the moment passed. He took in a breath of relief before he put on a calmer look on his face.

Seeing the various responses to the idea of sabotage being a topic, Cobalt nodded a little bit to himself. He'd expected them if he was honest. Especially from Airen. Shaking his head, Cobalt continued,

"No questions on this. I assume you all know what sabotage is." he wrote a spell on the board "Speya. A spell that leaves a trail of an explosive powder behind it. Like gunpowder in a lot of ways."

He showed them the spell, leaving a trail of brown powder on his desk. He turned to them,

"It's harmless without the activation phrase. Fire won't even set it off." he told them, "Now you practice."

Charlotte nodded her head and she smiled gently she would be happy to start learning this spell she didn't have to use it after all and it might come in useful when she was going on a meeting with Delta, which she presumed that she would be doing in the future.

Taking out her wand, Charlotte made sure to note down the spell and it's effects, before closing her eyes and getting up from her desk that she was sitting at.

"Speya!" she muttered, her eyes tight closed before she began to walk slowly in one direction, no powder was coming out from her and she frowned, wondering what she might have done wrong, so she concentrated hard and then tried the incantation again before walking a few paces, a light trail of powder behind her.

Airen nodded his head eagerly. He whipped out his wand and looked at his desk. He didn't want to make a big mess. Deciding to be a bit creative, he first traced the pattern he wanted with no magic on his desk.

"Speya," he said. At first nothing happened, but a soon as he started moving his wand, the powder trickled from it. He traced the triangle on his desk. It was the Greek letter for Delta. He felt quite proud of himself, most would see it as an ordinary triangle if they didn't know it's meaning to the members of the Delta Team.

- Speya, - Anette said.

Looking at the desk she waved her wand slowly and after it she saw a littke bit strange symbol, which looked like an arrow.

"Not bad", - Anette thought.
