Time To Say Goodbye (Open To All)

Christopher got himself ready in his black suit, placing his top hat on his head, his brow now seemed to be furrowed into a permenant state of disapproval since the last attack that had happened between Britain and Germany, the list of dead were long, and the lives of innocents within the list itself were numerous.

Especially those lives of the children that had been taken pained Christophers heart, they should have never been harmed in the first place, let alone killed by this war. It was time for all of this to stop, and now was the time that Leon Becker was about to see, that death and killing was not the straightforward answer to win a war.

It was painful. It destroyed the lives of families, of lovers...of everybody.

Apparating to the large memorial now created in the graveyard, holding the magical victims of the battle, Christopher gazed at the names written upon the stone;

The lives of those people, both British and German alike, were deaths that need not have happened, over a nations stupidity and stubborness. This would end. It would end today with the gathering that he had called for, of all the friends, lovers and members of family that the departed had left behind. They would remain strong together, and fight through the pain.

[Humphrey Williams]

Humphrey had come to pay his respects. He was in plain black dress robes, and was already crying even before he got there. So many people had died, because of the war and from other things. It tore him up inside to see his friends there.

Some of the people he didn't know very well, others he did. Among the dead of his friends was Lilith King, Zara Hawkins, Alice Lane, Jaycie Simple, Victoria Rossmund, and a few others. His tears were for them, they were the reason he'd come to say goodbye.

Worst of all, was the name Keiba Namid. It was there, she was gone, he'd never see her again. She was his first friend that he'd made at Hogwarts. Not only that, but she was his best friend. Without her, well he didn't know what to do. Senium was close to him now, a part of him missed Keiba terribly though. No matter what happened, Humphrey would always remember her, and a part of him would love her.

The tears fell thick and fast down Humphrey's cheeks, he let them fall. At the least she deserved his tears. He had made mistakes with her, he knew it too. Pulling out the single red rose, he left it there. It had a small note attached to it. Just a small poem written for Keiba, about how much he would miss her. Turning away, he tried not to let his grief for her overcome him too much. This was the most pain he'd ever felt, it killed him inside.

[Briony Romain]

Briony did not like the fight that had happened between Germany and Britain, it had killed some of her friends, and she did not have very many of those in the first place, of course she had attempted to save them in the fighting, but there was simply too much going on for her to protect every single person that was involved in the mass fight.

Dressed in a simple fitted black dress, Briony walked slowly towards the memorial and let her head bow to the ground, on her head was a black fascinator and she had lace obscuring her eyes, lest people catch her becoming upset at the events that had occured, that just wouldn't do.

Placing a magical bouquet of lillies at the base of the white marble, Briony knew that they would never die just like the respect she had come to have for her students, and her staff that had their lives claimed in the attack.

"To all of those whom I knew, death is never the end, may you be in a better place than the world could have fashioned for you." she spoke softly, as if addressing them personally, before falling into line by Christopher and gazing up at the sky as she heard a clap of thunder.

Melody cried even though she didn't know most of the people who had been listed.She placed some flowers on some of the graves and she wondered if they were in a better place.

Lomas was next to enter the area she look over at all the names of the people where now gone that is she was rather quiet that is. Not many she did not know all of them she was alone within the mass of them that is.

[Haley Vilde Smith]

Haley was done crying. When she heard of the lost people in the war... She had cried for days on end. She was done now. It didn't matter. She was hollow. Her only friends were dead and she didn't have family to lean on. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered.

Tess, who she had just become close to. Tess, who had found her in the prison tower and they had finally gotten around to talking and becoming friends. It wasn't fair that she died.

Then there was Victoria. Sure, Haley hadn't known her all that much, but she had been the smiling person in the classroom, though she had changed a bit when she came back for the fourth year. She had always been a kind person.

Zara had been a great friend as well. Haley still remembered the potions lesson that they had shared together. And now the girl was gone.

Which lead her to Keiba. Keiba had been her closest friend for a time, though they did lose their contact for the two last years. The girl had always been extremely kind and loving, and the fact that someone so good had been taken from the world was a horrible thought.

Agatha had been her dormmate, the only one Haley lived with in Hufflepuff, and now she was gone too. She hadn't known her at all, really, but she had been the perfect roommate and they had had their moments.

But the real crusher to Haley was Parker. When she heard his name said, her heart had stopped beating for a long time. She had blacked out and her breathing quickened like mad. She had screamed, trying to get the agony to disappear. He had been her friend through all the years at Hogwarts. He had been a bit silent and shy, but Haley didn't mind. She was outgoing enough for both of them. He had been her closest friend and now he was gone.

A lone tear slid down Haley's face. And she who thought she was done. Nothing more came after that tear though. It might have been the last one she had. And it was shed for all her friends, as well as the question: how could the world be so cruel.

She walked over to the stone and her hand touched the names she had known softly, in turn, Parker's being the last name she crossed. "Maybe you were too good for the world," she whispered softly, "I know I'm not. But you were. In another life then, Tess, Victoria, Zara, Keiba, Agatha, Parker," she said softly, "In another time."

She let her hand slip from the stone and walked a bit away, looking at the stone.

[Lucia Henley]

Lucia looked sadly around herself. She couldn't believe what had happened. She didn't understand how people could be so cruel. The many people that had died. Professors at Hogwarts, students. All of them meaning so much to her. Soft, silent tears were running down her face.

"Death is a new path. One for everyone. No one will feel out of place. Darkness is behind, the beauty and warmth of light in front of you," she whispered softly and put her hand on the stone, pushing warm energy into it, willing to believe they could all feel it.

She then walked over to Briony and stood next to her. She took her hand and squeezed, then let the hand go. Lucia was very aware that Briony was sick of the war. They all were.

[Maria Arceneau]

Maria had decided that she would attend the mass funeral, but as a French citizen and as a vampire she took a back step away from the main body of the group, she needed to maintain the charm that would constantly cover her in shadows that would keep her safe while the sun was still setting.

With a sad smile on her lips, Maria looked at all of the names chisled into the marble, and she let her head drop a little bit, gazing at the floor by her feet, in her time as a vampire she had seen her fair share of death, she had even caused a few herself in her early days due to over zealous feeding...

But deaths like these were something that she could not bare. Deaths for a country that were not the soldiers belonging to it, the deaths of innocent people doing nothing but going about their way, and the children! If she needed to do nothing else, she needed to convince Leon, to stop being so stubborn, and to cease this war.

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony walked around the graves sadly, it was try... she didn't really know anyone who had been killed... but they were still wizards and witches and it saddened her even more that such a battle had happened between the two countries. She walked around a little more, thinking about what had happened and pay respects to some of the bed. Hoping they were all in a better place and that they were all safe and happy. she also hoped that their deaths were not in vain and that this had been a wake up call to everyone and that now people would think again before letting something like this happen again. Tears were running down her cheeks as she walked around, she really couldn't believe anyone would let something like this happen. It was cruel and heartless. She frowned a little more as she walked through the rows upon rows of graves. She listened to the speech as she walked and couldn't help but glance around and see if there was anyone she knew there.

[Autumn Brady]

Autumn looked around at all the graves and people. The living and the dead, side by side. She wasn't sure if coming here was a good idea... she wasn't human after all, but she decided to go anyway, to pay her respects to those who had died. She was still in shock as she walked around, something like this just seemed so... unbelievable, it all seemed so surreal. She thought about what had happened and bowed her head as tears slide down her cheeks. She felt so bad about what had happened. She couldn't believe wizards and witches could be so cruel.

Melody spotted Ebony and waved to her not entirely sure whether or not that was an approtiate thing to do at a funeral.

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony saw Melody waving and waved back before she slowly walked over, staying out of peoples way. "Hey" she said in a quiet voice. "How are you?" she asked as she looked over at the younger female.

[MelodyLovegood]

"I'm okay I guess,"she answered.She was sad of course but at least she wasn't dead or injured."How are you?"

[Ebony Summers]

"I've been better... but at least I'm not dead... thiswar was so cruel and unjust... so many innocent people died" she replied, angry at the governement and the people who let this happen.

"Did you know anyone who died?" she asked quietly.

[MelodyLovegood]

"I only know a few of the people who died.I didn't really know them for too long but I'm sad that their gone."

[Christopher Rubin]

Christopher turned his head to look at the people who have gathered to watch the procession that was about to occur, he watched as many of the members of the Ministries both German and British laid wreaths at the base of the large monument, and when they had finished, Christopher stood and addressed all of those who had come to remember their dead today, and he gave them all a small, yet warm smile.

"Today, marks the mourning of our losses, the losses of friends, of family and of the people who we love above all others, all of us will mourn in our different ways, I myself will drink copious amounts of tea within these next few months, but, rest assured that now, more than ever we are working to stop this fighting and the people in our country who will continue it desite the peace that is attempting to settle down amongst Britain and Germany."

Taking a deep breath Christopher continuedhis speech;

"It is on this day that the Ministry have ordered the arrest of Aurelia Vance, Jack Irvine and James Irvine, the leaders of the British rebels, we implore anybody who knows them to step forwards and help us in the investigation." With a small warm smile gracing his lips again Christopher continued his speech "The heart of our nation bears the brunt of this loss with great difficulty, but all wounds will heal in time, the memories of our loved ones will never die, and the way in which they live in our heart, is the way in which we must remember them."

With that he stepped down and cleared the way to the memorial in case anyone else wanted to come and place their offerings.

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony nodded.

"Yeah... I didn't know any of them... but it's always sad when someone dies... so it's even worse when tons of people die" she replied quietly.

[MelodyLovegood]

"Hopefully the war will be over soon,"Melody replied.

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony nodded.

"Yeah... I hope so" she replied quietly.

"So how have you been?"Melody asked Ebony.The last time she had saw her was after helping her out.

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony smile a little.

"I've been pretty good thanks... just looking after Aiden... you?" she replied softly.

[MelodyLovegood]

"I've been OK.Just exploring and studying."

[Ebony Summers]

Ebony smiled a little and nods. "How do you like Hogwarts since this is your second year?" she asked softly.

"It's been good,lots of stuff to study and explore,"Melody replied.

Ebony nodded slightly.

"Yeah... it would be" she replied with a small smile
