Alone (Lars Wilheim - OPEN)

Seffi sat in the student common room and curled up into a small ball, she was well and truly alone, she didn't even have Eliza with her any more, to make sure that she had someone to talk to, but then again was she ever really there for her to begin with? She was just so confused and the only person who would be able to help her wasn't here, and she hadn't seen him for months now, she only hoped that he had been kept at home, and that her worry was for nothing.

But somehow Seffi didn't think so, deep in her mind she thought that Lars had been killed in one of the attacks, or by one of the people trying to assassinate him and would never be coming back to help her at all.

The thought itself made her even more upset, but she tried to stop the flow of tears as she sat in the common room, like she often did to see if Lars would appear like she had so often hoped that he would do, maybe she should write another letter to him? Picking up some parchment and a quill from her bag, Seffi began to write;

'Dearest Lars,

Where are you? I miss you in Durmstrang and things are so difficult here without you, something has happened, I don't know how to explain in writing and I need someone to help me, I want you to help me. I don't know if you're alive, if you're captured somewhere or if you've been killed by one of the people you warned me about...but what I wouldn't give to see you again.

You're my one and only friend in this place, and perhaps the more that you wanted is something that I've found myself realising I want too.

Summoning one of the school owls she attatched the note to it's leg and instructed it to find Lars. Now all she had to do was wait.

Lars saw Seffi's owl flying towards him just as he was pulling out parchment to write his own owl to her. Quickly, he took the letter from her owl and read it. He'd been on the run, and until now it hadn't been safe to write to her. Soon, he would be back at Durmstrang with her. Dipping his quill in the ink, he wrote his reply.

Dear Seffi,

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to write to you until now. I've been on the run, and managed to set a trap for the people who have been pursuing me. It should be safe for me to return to Durmstrang now. Of course I'll help you Seffi, with whatever it is. I've missed you so much, I've been dying to see you. Hopefully, I'll be able to shortly.

I feel terrible that you've had to spend the year alone thus far. I would love it if we could be more than friends, we'll figure it out when I get back. Can't wait to see you.

He rolled it up and fastened it with a ribbon to Stefano's leg. "Say hi to Seffi for me, fly fast." Lars said. Then he watched as his falcon flew off to deliver his letter.

Seffi sighed, and she was just about to get up from the sofa in the common room and head to bed when she heard something flying into the room, turning around she saw Stefano, Lars' falcon and immediately she felt so many different emotions all she could do was rip the letter off the birds leg and read it feverishly.

With a small sigh, she couldn't help but feel immediately dissappointed, and she had hoped that he would have told her he was on his way back now, but it didnt seem so. Throwing the letter to one side, Seffi thought that it was probably a good thing he wasn't here, all of these emotions she was feeling would not have made for a good reunion.

Although, she would probably still be feeling as angry and upset, when he actually did come back, whenever that was. Storming out of the room she made her way back to her dorm, thinking that it was his turn to wait for new from her, and set her resolve not to write a reply.
