Lesson Three - Second Years
Evangeline entered her classroom and crossed the room to her desk in total silence. She was thinking about the winter break they'd just had. The Irvine twins had taken her over to Ireland and shown her what snow was with something called a 'snowball fight'. It had been wet, it had been cold but, somehow, it had made her want to smile too.

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Evangeline blinked at the student in front of her and she managed to give a rather small and shakey smile, the aftermath of playing with the twins was still affecting her and making her want more interaction with these interesting creatures called humans...
Walking to the board, she wrote down the recipe for the potion that they were to brew today and then turned to the class, merely waiting until they were all silent, her gaze falling on those who weren't until they were scared into hushing.
"Today we are looking at an antidote for common poisons. This is an extremely useful potion and one that you should try to memorise the recipie and ingredients for, As usual they are all set out on my desk, you may begin."
'Ingredients:
1 Bezoar
2 measures of Standard Ingredient
1 pinch of unicorn horn
2 mistletoe berries
Instructions
1) Add 1 Bezoar to the mortar
2) Crush into a very fine powder using the pestle
3) Add 4 measures of the crushed Bezoar to your cauldron
4) Add 2 measures of Standard Ingredient to your cauldron
5) Heat to a medium temperature for 5 seconds
6) Wave your wand
7) Leave to brew and return in 30 minutes
8 ) Add 1 pinch of Unicorn Horns to your cauldron
9) Stir 2 times, clockwise
10) Add 2 Mistletoe Berries to your cauldron
11) Stir 2 times, anti-clockwise
12) Wave the wand to complete the potion'

Re: Lesson Three - Second Years
Melody was surprised by the potion because there wasn't usually any wand wazing in potions class but she followed the instructions and made the potion anyway. She hoped that she would remember this potion if she ever got poisoned but she probably would be dead before finishing making it if that ever happened.
