A Piece of Normal

Tabi was trying to get herself into a normal routine in her life. Also trying to stay away from her house as much as she could. She had still not heard nothing from Ivano, but she had heard he was back in the area living with the mother he never knew he had.

When her father found out that Ivano was a Slytherin and told Tabi that she had no choice to marry Ivano and she better do anything in her powers to not mess things up with him. He told her she better beg him to come back. Tabi tried to tell her father that she could not make Ivano do anything he didn't want to do and she ended up getting slapped for back talking. Since her sister had died she tried not to get on her fathers bad side, but she knew if something happened to her there would be questions, not that it would stop him.

Walking into the ice cream shoppe she ordered a choc fudge sundae and went and found a spot outside and picked up a paper that was sitting there to read.

Humphrey didn't really have any plans for the summer, aside from a possible visit to Senium. So he was taking the time to do some hiking, painting, and to just enjoy a lazy summer. He had to admit that he had been having a lot of fun, but he did miss his friends a bit.

Today he'd decided to take a trip to Diagon Alley for a couple reasons. The main one being that he wanted to get his new course books so he could start reading through those, the other reasons were to have some fun and explore some shops he'd never been to. Humphrey had already gotten his course books, and decided to make a stop at Florean Fortescue's. Walking in, he ordered a waffle cone with two scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

When he walked outside to find a spot to sit he saw Tabi with an ice cream sundae reading a paper. He took a seat next to her, smiling at her. "Hey Tabi, nice to see you. How's your summer going?" he asked happily.

Tabi looked up when she heard her name called, at first she had hoped it was Ivano but when she looked up she saw it was Humphrey. She smirked inwardly because she knew that sometime today Ivano was suppose to be meeting her here and this might be very interesting.

"Well hay Humphrey come pull up a chair." Tabi said excitedly

"Summer going ok, got into a fight with father so I am trying to avoid the house as much as possible. How about you?"

Humphrey was happy to see one of his friends here, he hadn't been expecting to. Summer was great, but you normally couldn't take your friends home with you. Taking his seat, he enjoyed his mint chocolate chip ice cream.

"Thanks, don't mind if I do." he said with a smile. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Have you two always been so...opposite each other?" he asked, trying to find the right word. "Mine's been pretty good, hiked to some interesting places, been painting more. Just came to grab my course books so I could start reading through those." he explained.

Tabi sighed as she thought about her father,

"Actually I have always done what my father wanted. I was always the good child but now he wants me to do something I don't know if I want to do it. Well at least as soon as he wants me too anyway."

Tabi took a couple of bites of her ice cream and then lifted up a bag she had next to her,

"You mean books like these?" Tabi said with a smirk.

Humphrey knew that her father wasn't exactly the nicest person. He had even killed her sister, and he was sad that she had to deal with him still.

"Huh, I never would have guessed you'd be the good little kid." he admitted. "Well if what he wants you to do isn't something you think you should, good luck standing up to him. I know it must be hard."

When she pulled out the course books he laughed, holding up his own. "Exactly, it seems great minds think alike."

Tabi had to laugh at the good kid comment, "Only when it comes to my father. Unlike my sister I generally prefer to keep my teeth in my mouth and out of my throat."

When she thought about what her father wanted her to do it really was not something she might not of already planning on doing.

"Well my father discovered the Ivano is actually a Slytherin so being the pureblood that my father is you can imagine what is going through his mind." Tabi sighed and then took another bite,

"Wow I guess I didn't realize your brain was developed as mine." Tabi said with a smirk..

Humphrey listened to her explanation, glad he was't completely off base. "Okay, that makes a little more sense." he admitted. Keeping your teeth is a good thing." he agreed, laughing a bit.

Ah, so he wanted her to marry Ivano eventually. Tabi did like Ivano, but she probably didn't like being told who she should or shouldn't marry. He knew that he probably wouldn't either.

"Oh, so he wants you to marry when you're a bit older. Looking for nice Slytherin grandchildren I imagine. At least you like the guy, maybe you'll want to when the time comes." he said, trying to get her to look on the bright side.

Now there's the good ole Tabi, insulting him as usual. "Glad to see you're back to your usual insulting of me." he said happily. "I know I may come across as an idiot at times, but I'm smarter than I look." Humphrey explained.

Ivano found himself wandering Diagon Alley. Smiling slightly as he noticed the all so familiar ice cream shope he decided he was a little peckish and decided to stop in for a bowl. Though what he saw when he entered almost made him loose his appetite he couldn't believe that Tabi was sitting with Humphrey. He was happy to see her but not so to see the pain in his side his sworn enemy there.

As he ordered his ice cream he kept an eye on the two of them calculating his next move. He finally decided to just go over to them. He was gone for a long time she could of moved on he just hoped that it wasn't with that guy. He walked over to them casually to them and stated for a little while before he just cleared his throat to make his presence known he had no words or did he trust himself to talk at that moment in time.

Humphrey felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, somebody was watching them. Even before he heard the cough he knew that someone was there. Turning around, he saw that it was none other than Ivano. Man that guy got on his nerves, after the first time he'd met him he knew he'd never like him.

"Hello Ivano, how are you?" he asked, trying to keep his tone as polite as possible. "Would you like to join us, you're welcome to." Humphrey said, smiling a little bit. Just be nice, Tabi likes the guy., he thought to himself.

Tabi was about to say something to Humphrey when she heard someone clear their throat. She was about to bite their head off until she heard Humphrey said the name Ivano so she looked up and saw Ivano.

Tabi jumped up and threw her arms around Ivano and kissed him. She got a little lost at where she was. It happens when you haven't seen someone in two years.

"Ivano, oh my god, I have missed you.". Tabi said as she pulled him tighter around her.

"Come on join us."

Ivano smiled slightly as Tabi kissed him he couldn't believe how much he missed her. He placed an arm around her waist as he led them back to the table. His eyes looked sternly across the table to Humphrey he may of just got back but he still remembered his anger and frustration that he felt towards the boy though he was not exactly sure what caused it any more.

"I am fairly good just trying to get back to normal. Never knew it would be so hard to go from one country and then back again a few years later." He decided to answer the boy's greeting to try and be polite infront of Tabi. He laced his fingers around Tabi's and kissed her hand.

Humphrey wondered if maybe he should leave the two of them alone. They probably had a lot to talk about if he just get back. He didn't want to intrude on their time together. It was up to them though, if they didn't mind then he would stay.

Ivano still seemed to dislike him as much as ever, though he still didn't know why. The kid had disliked him before he even knew him. "Yeah, I bet that would be difficult. Do you guys want me to give you some privacy?" he asked. "I don't want to intrude on your time together."

Tabi smiled as Ivano placed his arm around her and sat down in the seats with her. Even after Ivano kissed her hand she continued to hold it.

"It is very terrible and I have missed you something awful." She said with a smile.

"Its ok Humphrey you can stay if you want."
