Charms - Sixth Years

Ophelia remembered her days at her school of witchcraft back home in Australia fondly, but she did not recall so much house rivalry at her own school. There had only been three houses, the Kangaroo's, the Koala's and the Kookaburra's - and they'd all been the best of friends. Each house had rivalries only when it was time to play Quidditch, and even then it was friendly, playful banter between the houses which was a lot of fun. The houses really hadn't been as big as they were at Hogwarts, I mean, the dormitories had been divided into house groups and gender, so you slept with all of the girls/boys in your year level to promote friendships among students.

Ophelia hoped that Hogwarts could overcome the huge house rivalries and so it was why she had made it one of the new classroom rules that you could not sit next to someone who was in your house. There was two to a desk, and Ophelia had partner work planned that you must do with the person sitting next to you, so hopefully that could help with this whole house division problem. Ophelia beamed as she finished writing her new rule on the board and sat down, waiting for her class to arrive.

Written on the Board:
Students are NOT allowed to sit next to someone in their own house.

Tabi walked into the charms classroom and immediately notices the note on the board about sitting with her own house. Well that shouldn't be a problem no one likes her anyway.

Seeing no one was in the class yet she went and found a place to sit down and wait to see who was going to get to sit next to her.

Ophelia smiled warmly at her class as they all took their seats and she was pleased to see that unlike with the third years, these students didn't glare at her for splitting them up. Quite the contrary, they seemed fine to sit with students who weren't in their own house and she was pleased to discover this.

"Hello class, welcome to Charms. Today, we're going to be learning about the 'Fianto Duri' charm. Can anybody tell me what two spells you use with this charm to make a powerful magical shield?" She asked, looking around the room.

Tabi noticed that she was the only one in the classroom so she knew it was up to her to answer this question.

"Well Professor the two spells are Protego Maxima and Repello Inimicum." Tabi stated plainly
