Divination Sixth Year Exam

[Cain Valerian]

Cain sat in the exam hall feeling a little out of place, the room was so stark and bare he himself was even feeling a little bit intimidated about what was going on, he sat and waited with the other examiner from the Ministry who was going to be helping him oversee the practical exam that they were going to be undertaking, after all, Divination was hardly a subject where any long essays could be written, and he was glad of that for the students.

Waiting for the students to arrive, he called for them one at a time in a random order to come to the room just off the examination hall in order to do their exam in private. What was expected of the students was to demonstrate their skill in using the method of Divining that the examiner asked them to.

As he looked at the student ready to take their exam he gave them a warm reassuring smile;

"Are you ready?"

[Tabi Ann Prewett]

Tabi was ready to take her divination final. This was one of the classes that she was sure she was ready for. She took a seat and when Professor Valerian. She was glad that they did this one at a time.

"I am ready professor." Tabi said as she sat straight up in the chair and closed her eyes and did a little mediation to clear her mind.

Cain smiled when Tabi walked into the exam hall, he was glad that she was here on time and he was confident that she would do very well at the task that the examiner set her, she was a natural seer and it would ensure that she got the maximum grades that they could award her.

Nodding to the examiner, to tell them that they could begin, Cain listened patiently when they spoke;

"Miss Prewett, would you be so kind as to use the divining method of tessomancy to predict something about the immediate future of either myself, or Professor Valerian. When you are ready, you may begin."

Waving his wand, two tea cups appeared in front of himself and the examiner, they were face down on the saucer, so that the tea leaves could not be seen. Giving Tabi a reassuring smile, knowing this wasn't her favourite method, Cain waited for her to begin.

[Naomi Narcissa Night]

Naomi truthfully hated divination, she was no seer and she hated the subject because it made her upset sometimes or too nervous to be able to Divine something.

Stepping inside, Naomi gave a strained smile at Professor Valerian and said softly. "I'm ready for the exam sir." Then in her mind she added; Even if I am not overly good at it.

[Haley Vilde Smith]

Haley was more nervous about this exam than she had been about others. She knew she could do this, but divination was not about bookly skill. It was about a clear sighted mind and strength. It was time to take that very serious. She felt her heartbeat raise a bit when she heard her name be called, but she quickly calmed herself down; nerves would not help her.

She climbed up into the office and smiled to professor Valerian. "I'm ready," she said, sitting down with a slight smile. Something about him made her feel calmer. He was a very strong seer, if one could call a centaur that.
