The Silence (Open)

Richard didn't even know where he was going anymore. He'd started walking from the hospital, intent on walking to a place where he could catch a portkey home. Instead he'd just... walked. And he hadn't stopped. He'd walked past all of the people in the street, not responding when he jostled some and out-right knocked over others. He was just... walking. He wasn't thinking. To think was to dwell on what was lost. To dwell on his sweet little Raven, who was by now testing her wings out in heaven.

It took Richard a moment to realised where he was. As soon as he did he blinked a little bit and looked around at the clearing in the forest. It was completely silent. Jesus Christ... he'd disapparated in his desire to be somewhere else? That was a new one even for him. He was in the Silent Forest if memory served him right. Sitting down on a rock in the centre of the clearing he tried to centre himself, to try and pull himself into his mind and away from his negative thoughts. And if that failed then at least he had found a place that was as silent as he desired right now.

Senium was wandering through the Silent Wood, she wanted to be away from everyone for a while, from the noise and bustle of people, and just to be on her own, she really couldn't handle the changes that had happened to her, and living on her own was so...hard...she didn't know if she could handle it much longer.

Wandering through the forest she didn't even blink when she was hit and stung with small branches and thorns as she walked, of course the charms made it look like she was bleeding but of course she wasn't. She hated the way she only seemed to appear to be human...where as underneath she was far from that.

Her new curly hair bounced as she continued to jump over tree roots, but as she approached a clearing she saw someone sitting there and paused, looking again she saw it was Richard, would he want to speak to her right now? She didn't know. After all, Senium knew he had lost his daughter, his real one, she didn't want to upset him.

Richard sniffed the air, detecting a type of wood that was foreign to this area. Not to mention the wood was saturated with magic. It smelt like the entire wooden structure was like a wand, a magically charged length of wood. But this wasn't any length of wood. What he could smell was a puppet, a magical puppet, and there was only one magical puppet body that had free will and a mind of it's own,

"Senium..." he called out quietly, "Hey..."

It was a terrible little greeting her knew but he hadn't spoken in hours, his voice hurt to use. He attempted a weak smile,

"What you doing wandering around here all alone?" he asked her, concerned, "It could be dangerous around here my little one."

Senium gasped a little bit when Richard seemed to know that she was there, but she didn't know what else to do now apart from creep out and face him, at least he seemed to want to see her, maybe she would be able to take his mind off what happened, make him feel a little bit better than he had done.

"Hello Richard." she greeted in return with a small smile of her own, she hadn't seen him since he had lost Raven, and she had lost her Grandfather, there was a lot of grief between them still.

When he asked her what she was doing out here all alone Senium smiled softly and shrugged her shoulders, she didnt know what had drawn her here apart from to be away from people for a little while, she hoped that it wouldn't bother Richard if she decided to stay here with him though.

"I needed to be away from people for a while, it was too busy while I was out shopping so I came here." she explained "It could be dangerous for you too but you still came out here," Senium pointed out before asking "Do you want me to leave?"

Richard smiled slightly when Senium came out to speak to him. He was glad that she was still willing to speak to him. After the way she'd treated him, gods knew he didn't deserve her love,

"Awwww not father?" he teased her with a light smirk, "I'm surprised that I'm just Richard again."

He frowned slightly in concerin. She seemed to be unaware, or uncaring, about the dangers that this forest presented to those who were unprepared. Her reason though was something he could accept,

"Yes sometimes you need to just get away from it all." he agreed before raising an eyebrow and smiling mirthlessly, "Grief has not made me powerless little tochter. But I want you to stay, yes."

Senium blinked a little bit, she had never felt like this before around Richard, she had always been so easy around him, she had never felt awkward, but now she did, she didn't know what to do, she just wanted to be able to make this atmosphere go away, but she didn't know how.

"I didn't know if you would want me to call you that...you know...after what happened." she smiled hesitantly "I didn't know where we uhm...stood I guess, if you were ready to see me again."

Nodding her head Senium smiled again, she was glad that Richard was able to understand why she had left home for a short while, sometimes she hated being alone as much as with other people, at least the forest had some semblance of life.

"Nor has it made me powerless." she retorted "Its not like I can die or be hurt very easily any more, I am wood." Senium stated in a rather similar mirthless expression.

She moved, to sit by Richard and smiled gently; "Alright then, I'll stay."

Richard smiled sadly. He had absolutely no idea where she had gotten that idea from but it was his job as her 'father' to put a stop to it. They were vater and tochter, she wasn't supposed to be awkward around him! She was supposed to enjoy being with him,

"Just because I have lost one daughter..." he told her quietly, his voice quiet, "Doesn't mean I want nothing to do with my other daughter. If anything it just makes me appeciate you all the more tochter."

Being alone and being crowded, both were equally as bad in Richard's books. Which is why he preferred intimate conversations and gatherings, with only a select number of friends,

"Oh you look just like me when you say that." he teased her lightly, "Touche' Tochter. But it is a vater's nature to worry for his tochter. And... thank you... for staying. I need to have my tochter with me I think."

Senium was glad that Richard didn't seem to want her to leave, and he wasn't upset now that she was here, maybe she was going to be able to help him and take his mind off this after all, he was her vater after all, she wanted to make sure that he was taken care of by herself, despite her own needs.

"I guess I can understand how you feel, just because I lost two fathers doesn't mean I want nothing to do with you Vater." Senium smiled softly, looking down at her feet "I just hope that you'll stay with me longer than the others."

Grinning lightly when she heard that she looked just like Richard when she said that, Senium realised they had much more in common now than she would have liked, they were both suffering after the death of a loved one, maybe they could help themselves through this loss?

"I know, and I wouldn't have it any other way, but you don't need to worry, I think I can be sown back together if anything does happen to me anyway." she grinned, sticking her tongue out "One of the few perks."

Biting her lip she gently hugged Richard around the shoulders; "Will you be okay vater?"

Richard was aware that he probably had issues now. He was just glad that Senium was here to help him with them. Kind of like how he was there to help her with her's. Oh and he had no illusions that she had them. She had lost her grandfather not too long ago after all,

"Thank you Tochter, that means a lot to your dear old Vater." he told her with a slightly wider smile before it dimmed slightly. Resting a hand on her shoulder he gave her a gentle squeeze, "I'll stay forever if you want me to Tochter. This is one vater who can't, and won't, leave you."

Richard had to admit that it was strange. Senium had some of his facial and body features now, she would stand just like he did when he was deep in thought. As he thought about it he couldn't help but smile slightly at the memory of her grandfather. The man had disliked Richard but seen how much Senium loved him and altered the puppet body enough that they had similar expressions, like a biological tochter and vater,

"Well now that doesn't sound all that reassuring." he joked with her, "My stitching skills are awful."

Hugging her back, he smiled a little bit and nodded, "Yeah... yeah I think I will be in the end Tochter. Will you be?"

Senium didn't think that it would be appropriate for Richard to make comments like that, he couldn't possibly make sure that he would stay with her forever, she didn't even know how long she was going to live, how long would she continue to survive if her body was impervious to disease and age?

"I would like it if you didn't say things like that Vater, it makes me more upset when it turns out that you were wrong, and that you do leave me before I want you to." Senium admitted with a sad expression "My councillor says it's not good for my condition."

Smiling softly Senium shook her head with a little chuckle; "Well it's a good job that my stitching skills are a lot better than yours, I'll just pull myself back together."

When he asked if she would be okay in the end, Senium didn't want to lie and say that she would be, but she was definately better than before so it looked like she would be okay in the end....biting her lip a little bit she shrugged lightly;

"I don't know, I think so..." she whispered.
