Background Information:

Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Dereth was taken in by a rebel faction like many orphaned boys. Just like so many children his parents, who had been visiting the country as doctors, were killed and he grew up as a child soldier. Unlike the other child soldiers though, Dereth was a wizard. When this became apparent he was taught battle magics by the only other wizard in the faction.
Since then he has changed factions several times, in conflicts around the world, because all he knows is war. Recently he met The Master after fighting for both sides during the recent British/German war. He has pledged his life for The Master and his ambitions.
