Thorn walked to the couch in the middle of his new common room. He hadn't expected the school to be as nice and comfy as it was. This room, he had found to be located under the sea, giving the lights in the room a nice, green shine, as was the house's color. But no matter how nice it was, he missed his school in Alaska. But it did not matter.

He looked down at a piece of paper in his hands, knowing there had to b more than empty parchment to it, given the fact that he had found it in a mysterious box in the janitor's office. He just didn't know the right words yet, but he'd find them. He looked back up again, seeing some people in the room. He decided it was time to introduce himself.

Thorn rose and walked over to the closest person. "Hey," he said. "I'm Thorn Winters, transferstudent."

Tabi had about had her fill of men. She was tired of putting herself out there just to be stepped on and have her heart crushed. It was bad enough that she didn't have her twin, and her headaches drove her crazy she wanted to die most days but couldn't bring herself to do it.

Tabi walked into the common room in time to hear someone introduce themselves,

"Any one who has been here awhile would know that you transferred." Tabi said rudely and threw herself on the couch.

"I am Tabi if you really care."

Thorn found himself very unfortunate when the girl rudely responded to him. Sure, he knew Slytherins weren't the nicest people, but they were said to stick close together within the house.

"Well, sorry for making it more obvious," Thorn said with a slight frown. But he wasn't one for giving up so easily. So he sat down in the chair next to the couch she sat herself in.

"Nice to meet you, Tabi. I'm Thorn," he said slowly and kindly, as if to scholar a kid how to be polite. But he was smiling, so she'd know he was only joking. If she was to blow up in his face, then he'd give up and walk away. No one was worth that much trouble.
