Tarragon paid for both his and Alys' entry fee when they got to the entrance of the local bar that was popular for all underage wizards in the area.

"Two Sickles, sir" The doorman said, holding out his hand for Tarragon to drop the money into, ignoring Alys' evident glare at him.

He pulled Alys into the bar to order drinks, although he didn't know how. He turned to Alys with a confused look, scanning the fast area.

The first thing Alys did after Tarragon's blatant display of disregarding her wishes yet again was to slap down a sickle on a counter nearby. That would show him. She would have given him an earful too had the music not been so loud. The place was absolutely packed from the looks of it and multiple students seemed to be trying to attract the sole bartender's attention via shouts, flashes of silver or bronze and sometimes even by sending out sparks from their wands. And those were just the ones leaving. Alys pitied the poor girl manning the drinks counter, she didn't look much older than the students. In fact, something in her young face and confused eyes reminded her of Lehrer Vikki.

Pointing to the row of glasses lined on the counter, Alys took one and handed it to the boy beside her before claiming one for herself. "Just say out loud what drink you'd like and the glass fills itself, and keeps refilling as much as you want it to." The girl looked at her own chute and said "Chocolate Butterbeer". The glass filled up instantly with her beverage. Leaning close to his ear, she continued "you pay the sum at the end. Just give your glass to the bartender, she will count how many drinks you've had and charge accordingly."

Alys was about to point out something else when she caught sight of Alec's girlfriend from earlier that morning. The Verstand student waved at her and Alys returned the gesture, scanning the crowd for any more familiar faces.

Zara leaned towards the mirror, in the washroom, to fix her bangs. After straightening them out, she adjusted her multi-colored friendship bracelets and then the shirt, that she had 'borrowed' from Alys' trunk, to not match her skirt. Backing up to double check her outfit, she made sure her wand was safely tucked away in her boot, and walked out into the loud bar.

She ignored the crowded bar (and the poor bartender manning it), grabbed an empty cup and moved to an empty high table in the corner. Jumping up on the chair (and cursing Herbert for being so short, still) she settled herself before asking for a Chocolate Butterbeer. About mid-sip was when she noticed Alys walk in with her friend, Tarragon and a smirk crossed her face.

"ALYS," she yelled, at the top of her lungs, to be heard over the music.

The blonde heard her name yelled at and looked around for the source of the niche, except, she had to raise her head to finally locate it. Of course it could only be Zara, who else would be standing on a chair and yelling out her name like this - in an extremely familiar shirt that in no way matched the redheaded witch's skirt.

Alys couldn't help it, she started laughing.

The witch raised her own glass of chocolate Butterbeer, no doubt Zara would have the same drink in hand, and made a "cheers" gesture before taking Tarragon by the arm and dragging him towards the other witch.

"Now why did I just know you'd be here?" she said, pulling Zara down and hugging her. "Nice perfume, by the way," she added, catching a whiff of the scent Zara had on and making a mental note to "borrow" it next time.

Zara squeezed her friends shoulders as hard as she could.

"Well, duh," she said, pulling out her best American accent from her arsenal of impersonations. "Music Bar. Zara. It only makes sense." She giggled when she caught Alys sniffing at her perfume.

"Thanks. It's in my trunk, next to my markers." She instantly knew what Alys was thinking when the witch complimented her perfume. "So, out with Tarragon, eh? Well, don't let me ruin your date." She smirked again, this time with mischief sparkling in her eyes.

Alys laughed at being squeezed as well as the American slang added for their benefit. "Tarragon, did I tell you Zara does her own magic with impressions?" she said teasingly. "Well, that and her markers," she added, reminded of the customized t shirt she had shown up in at the duel.

"Thanks. It's in my trunk, next to my markers."

You're very welcome, and Mama sent some apple pies earlier today, I left them on your nightstand because it as closer than mine so let's hope Anja hasn't eaten them all by the time we get back."

The blonde shook her head as she took a sip of her chocolate flavored Butterbeer, not in the least surprised to see Zara holding an identical drink in hand. However, what did surprise her was what the witch said next.

"So, out with Tarragon, eh? Well, don't let me ruin your date."

"Zara..." she tried to warn the redhead, a pink tinge appearing on her cheeks. Alys poked the witch, subtly telling her to watch it.

The red-head's thoughts turned down a darker path at the though of Anja eating Alys' mom's amazing apple pies without them. 'She better not,' Zara thought, her mouth watering. She took a sip of her Butterbeer to cover up her chuckle to Alys' reaction to her dating statement.

"Zara..." she tried to warn the redhead, a pink tinge appearing on her cheeks. Alys poked the witch, subtly telling her to watch it.

"Alys..." Zara's tone matched her friends perfectly. "Why are you blushing?"

"I am not," the blonde insisted, her face burning even more at Zara's obvious attempts to tease her. The girl looked up at Tarragon beside them, hoping against hope that he won't notice. Oh why was the lighting not dimmer? Alys was perfectly aware of Zara's opinion on Tarragon, didn't mean the witch had to embarrass Alys by expressing it in public.

"Uh... So anyone heard about Prof M getting married to the deputy highmaster?' the blonde tried to change the topic.

Lukas entered with a big smile on his face. The loud music and ecstatic crowded welcomed his entry but soon enough a few steps into the bar a wave of more students followed him. He got pushed by one of the older boys.

His temper rising quickly, he was about to shout at the boy when he got pushed by some seventh year girl and he got pushed towards somebody who spill her drink over him.

His mood totally ruined. He was so angry that he could kill the boy and the girl who pushed him and this girl who's drink was over him now.

His face red with rage but he refrained from even uttering a word, afraid that he might say something which would land him to trouble. He took some deep breaths trying to calm himself down. Once he is calm he is going to give an earful to all the ones who ruined his day. Faggots, the whole lot he thought.

Alys wasn't entirely sure what happened. One moment, she was standing with Zara and Tarragon, trying to quietly indicate to her dorm mate that she would ensure the redhead a painful death if Zara continued her teasing and the next, someone had knocked into her, making her spill her drink over her shoulder into another person.

"Oh, I'm so sorry I was push-" she started as she watched the stain from her butterbeer spread on the boy's shirt, only to look up and see a very familiar face.

"You?" she said, surprise coloring her tones as she looked up into the face of Lukas Caesar.

He wanted to shower a volley of swear words at her. "No, my bloody ghost", he said finally.

Oh the things he would do to her if they weren't around so many people. He bent a little and whispered in her ear, "You make me want to kill you, long legs." He said it and he meant it.

With anger and disgust so beautifully expressed he turned and went to the washroom. Once he cleans up he was going to find the rest of the two older students and show them his displeasure with his whole heart.

Tarragon had just smiled to himself as the girls were bickering over the fact Alys and him had entered together, and Zara was insinuating that it was more. Girls, he thought to himself. The next minute Alys was sent flying her drink spilling over... Lukas. Tarragon couldn't help but laugh at the sight, but was quicker to stand protectively just behind Alys when he saw the other boys anger. He reached out for Alys' arm before she did anything silly, but Lukas was already walking away before anything erupted.

"You okay?" He asked watching Lukas head off into the crowd. "What did he say?"

"Well, at least I know how to walk without running into people!" Alys shot back, instantly moving her hand towards the wand up her sleeve... only to find it held onto by Tarragon. The witch scowled, pulling out of his grasp. "What did you do that for?" she hissed as she watched Lukas' retreating back. He deserved to be hexed for his rudeness.

"You okay?" He asked watching Lukas head off into the crowd. "What did he say?"

"Fine," she replied annoyed, trying to see where he had disappeared to. "He said he was a real son of a Herbert!"

"You know what I did that for, don't act like a typical girly girl, Miss Diederich. He's gone to the bathroom" He added watching her look on after Lukas.

He pulled her back towards Zara, refilling her cup as he did so.

"There is no need to ruin a perfectly good afternoon because of him, is there? Now where were we?"

Alys almost threw her newly refiled drink at Tarragon at the "girly girl" comment but decided against it because, well, wasted Chocolate Butterbeer was wasted Chocolate Butterbeer, and no one should do it on purpose. So instead the witch took a sip of the beverage, trying to calm her nerves.

"I think we were talking about Lehrer M's impending nuptials," she offered a little coldly, but not as angry as she had been a minute ago.

Tarragon frowned.

"So what actually happened? I haven't heard anything about it. Or is it just one of those girly chats that probably isn't even true?"

He chuckled to himself, knowing the two girls they'd been fooled by some older students and believed it to be true. Or something along those line. And was this really the time to be getting married when the world was at war with each other? Tarragon shook his head mentally, waiting for Alys' answer.

"Tarragon, you know my views on gossip and those who spread it. As it is, i actually saw the Deputy Highmster proposing to her. I was going to go down for supper when I passed by her office and outside the door, they were hugging. He gave her a ring and everything, a very pretty ring too."

Looking at Zara, she nudged the redhead pointedly. "Back me up here, won't you. Or he'll think we're pulling his leg."

Zara silently watched the exchange happen between her friend and the mysterious kid she'd seen during the practice duel. To her, he was rude. She thought he shouuld be a little bit more understanding about the accident, it wasn't her friends falt. Quickly, while everyone was distracted, she pulled her wand from her boot and sent a quiet jinx his way. Nothing that would harm him, just aggrivate him.

She slid the wand back in its place and pulled her attention back to the blonde witch in just enough time to hear the rude guy being called a son of a Herbert.

"Don't worry about Mr. Herbert there. He'll be having a hard time getting that stain out."

The conversation shifted back to Lehrer M's coming wedding and she chuckled at the conversation between Tarragon and Alys.

Looking at Zara, she nudged the redhead pointedly. "Back me up here, won't you. Or he'll think we're pulling his leg."

"It's true. There is going to be a wedding."

Tarragon shook his head in disbelief, their teachers getting married at such a time? Surely not!

He raised his eyebrow, "You're telling me they're getting married, now?? Really?? Will we have to go?"

Tarragon continued to look bemused, and he'd never been to a wedding before. He felt a sudden rush of panic, not knowing the first thing of what would be expected of him. The colour drained from his face as he realised how much of an ordeal it was most likely going to be!

Alys laughed when Tarragon asked if they would have to go to the wedding. "Well, I asked Alec the same question and he said 'our head of house is getting married, if we're not invited, we'll gatecrash'. But as it is, we are invited. In fact, I'm thinking of organizing a first year meeting later in the week to see if we can arrange a nice surprise for her. She deserves to know how much we appreciate her, And thank heavens she's marrying another teacher so she won't be leaving the school."

Just as Alys finished her monologue, already in a better mood, the song over the speakers changed.

"It's a beautiful night,
We looking for something dumb to do..."

The blonde threw her head back and laughed openly, her eyes shining with excitement and amusement, her bad mood completely forgotten as she hummed to the Muggle song she knew so well. "See, even the Music Bar agrees that its time for weddings."

"That's a great idea! Let me help."

A new song started playing in the bar and the red head laughed right along with Alys. She agreed with the blonde that it was a great time for a wedding. However, right now, this was one of her favorite songs and she had a lot of pent up energy to burn.

Noticing her friends better mood, she jumped from her chair and grabbed Alys' arm.

"Grab your boyfriend," she said, a large smile on her face. "Let's Dance!"

"He is not my boyfriend," Alys replied cheerily but grabbed on to Tarragon nonetheless as Zara dragged her to the floor. There really were too many people here to actually dance, the most they would be doing would be shuffling their feet and moving their arms but Alys had to admit, the beat was good. It had been ages since she's heard proper Muggle music.

"Is it the look in your eyes?
Or is it this dancing Juice?"

"Definitely the juice," Alys shouted over the sound of the music, taking another sip of her chocolate Butterbeer.

Aquila wasn't sure why she was doing this. She hadn't planned on it, just on a whim she had decided to visit this place that she heard everyone rave about. Apparently it was popular, not that Aquila cared. She was bored and had nothing better to do. So, that was how she found herself inside an overly crowded bar with students dancing everywhere and the music so loud she could barely hear herself think straight.

"How fun," she muttered to herself. She barely recognised anyone in the sea of faces before her, only few from her own year level. She watched as a boy from her Potions class was pushed around and had the contents of one girls drink poured on him, and she couldn't help but laugh at his misfortune before she wandered over to the bar and took a seat.

She watched as one girl left the bar, drink un-attended so she snatched the Butterbeer and wiping the glass clean of the other girl's germs, she drank from it and sighed. Her eyes drifted lazily across the crowd as she watched them all dance together. She took another swig from the Butterbeer as she watched a couple of Durmstrang students in her year begin to dance. "This is boring," she told herself, not hearing her own voice over the thud of the music.

Lukas tried to clean the stains with water but they wouldn't just clean up. For a moment he wondered if it was some sort of spell on the drink or something else but not thinking too much about it he took his wand out and used the cleaning and drying spell. His shirt was as good as new, he combed his hair and came out looking as if nothing had ever happened.

He spotted Aquila and decided to ask her for a dance as she was the only one who was from his year and wasn't an ass.

Luke couldn't help but wonder if she was naturally a bore or was getting bored when he looked at her expressions.

"Hey Aquila, want to join me for a dance?", he asked a little loudly due to all the noise but still with a warm tone and a smile.

The noise level at the bar was certainly increasing as the afternoon carried on and at one pint, the witch was sure she saw a a vaguely familiar blonde from her class but the next moment, an older boy had moved in front of her and blocked her view of the bar stools. Alys shrugged. It looked liked more than half of Durmstrang was here. Ava had been right, the place did see a lot of business.

The girl briefly wondered where her Risiko friend was these days. She and Ava could certainly cut a rug like nobody's business as they had at the welcome ball.
