A First Impression (Luc and V) Empty A First Impression (Luc and V)

Lucian sneered, the school in which he found himself was one of the best in the Wizarding world, of course it didn't speak highly for the wizarding world if this was one of the best schools that they had on offer.

Maybe it was just because it was constantly cold and it never really had much appeal for Lucian in the first place, yet, he had lost the game or rock paper scissors with Raziel and had had to come here as a result.

Grumbling he kicked the stone wall and frowned, at least they had a place where he could come and work out, he was pretty sure that Raziel was off having a ball right about now but he was stuck as an 11 year old until she found a cure for the curse seal he had put on him.

Violeta had been enjoying her time for the most part how ever she found herself missing her native land Russia where people assumed she was royalty because of her last name though that was not the case her family did come from the line of the tsars however there was not a tsar in Russia in quite sometime but people still bowed down to her because some how her father had escaped being excuted but he refused to take back the throne.

Seeing boy who looked the same age as her she wandered over to him honestly she had no idea why she was in the arena in the first place but thought that it would be a good place to meet someone maybe...

"Hello." She whispered and hoped that he heard her because he was a little frightening but interesting all at the same time.

Lucian looked up and focused on the person who had talked to him. It was a girl and he almost got down on his knees and kissed the ground, he was happy that finally he had met someone that might be worth something to talk to, or you know, finally get some energy from.

Smirking slightly he leant against the wall he had just kicked and scanned the girl in front of him, she seemed different to Germans, so maybe she was from a different country?

His black eyes lit up a little bit and he moved forwards hand outstretched:

"Hello there beautiful, I'm Lucian, Lucian Ciero but you, may call me Luc."

Violeta smiled as he called her beautiful. She took his out stretched hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you Luc, my name is Violeta Romanov but you can call me Vio if you want to."

She was quite used to getting attention from boys mainly boys whose parent's wanted her father's attention so they thought it was best to send their sons to befriend his only daughter. Though she always found out and ended the friendship for she only wanted people to be her friend that wanted to know her for who she was.

When Violeta took his hand Luc smirked and pressed it to his lips, kissing it gently, he let go of it with a lingering touch before folding his arms across his chest and leaning back against the wall, surveying her with an interest.

"I shall call you Violeta, it's such a beautiful name and should not be shortened, I fear it does it injustice to marr such a lovely title."

Grinning Luc gestured to the school around him, this miserable place they call Durmstrang and he looked at Violeta in the eyes as he asked:

"What do you think of it here? In this school? This place?" his voice was a little sharper, showing his dislike.

"It is okay but I don't know why my parents decided it would be best to send me here I would of much prefered a school in my native country Russia. How about you what do you think of this school"She was sure she knew the answer altrady from the way that he asked the question nut to be polite she asked him anyway.

She moved to his side there was something about her that caught her attention and she wanted to find out what it was he was different than any of the other boys that she had met already at Durmstang they did not care for her one bit however Luc seemed to care for her greatly and she wanted to find out why that was.

Lucian grinned, so he was right, she wasn't from Germany, you could tell or at least he could, and from the last name he wondered if she had some sort of link to the royal family there, or used to be royal family.

"I'm glad my instincts were correct, I didn't think you were from Russia, I am glad to be proven right."

A look of distain appeared on his face and Lucian gestures around again, the damp air was cold and clammy even indoors and the only place you could be warm was the kitchens or right next to a fire. Lucian liked to be warm more than anything.

"I hate it here. It's so cold. Miserable. All the Professors are weirdo's and I have no liking for any of the lessons so I don't know why I'm even bothering." he said cooly.

"Well then so we both don't like this place for different reasons however." Violeta took hold of his hand and held it she liked the feel of it and hoped that he didn't mind her holding it.

"There has to be something that you like about this school though." She knew that she found Charms interseting and it was one of the only classes that she attended. The others she would attend a week and then skip the next.

Lucian was a little surprised to feel his hand being held but only smirked, holding hers in return, it was not often that he met someone who reacted like this to him, more often than not he got a swift slap and was dispatched off from the club he was in.

"It appears that we do, that's something good we have in common I think."

Thinking for a minute about the school, what could he like about it? Not an awful lot, it was hard to think of something he actually didn't despise...

"The company, I enjoy your company so far so that can be the sole thing I enjoy about this school." he smiles "Do you have something you enjoy? Don't feel obliged to say me even if my little heart will break right then." he joked.

"Well I do sort of enjoy Charms but I think you are the best thing that has happened here so far. I do hope that we will get the chance to get to know each other better over the year and years that we have to spend here." She smiled at him. Company would make the days go by faster afterall it was always good to have a friend.

"So you say you do not like the cold so I am guessing that you are not from Germany than I am correct am I not?"

Lucian grinned, his gave lit up and he knew that this was going to be a good day, after all it was better than squabbling with his sister or sitting upstairs bored out of his skull in his dorm room in which he was alone, annoyingly.

"Ah ma cherie, music to my ears, I hope that we will get to know each other better also, after all friendship is the key to a happy life."

Thinking about the more magical side to her answer Lucian grimaced: "Charms, ugh, I've never been good at that wretched subject."

Lucian grinned and shook his head, he didn't know how to phrase it without giving it away, after all it was a pretty weird thing to admit to someone when you first meet them, especially a beautiful woman.

"Indeed I do not, I come from somewhere much warmer, I really do dislike the cold."

"Well I guess I am used to the cold so it doesn't bother me." She leaned against the wall still looking at him for some reason she just could not keep her eyes off of him.

"So what dorm have you been placed into?" She wanted to know for she had not seen him in the common room of her dorm however she hardly spent time in there the emptyness of it just gave her the creeps and her roomate seemed to be off in her own little world so she spent most of her time outdoors.

Lucian grinned and noted the way that she kept looking at him, if it had been a boy he would be more likely to punch them square in the face, but because it was a girl and someone as nice as Violeta he didn't, in fact, he quite enjoyed it.

"Well yes you hail from cold countries but this to me is murder, nothing I wear is ever warm enough, but I refuse point blank to wear uniform."

Shaking his head slightly he frowned at the thought of being put in that huge red monstrosity. Not going to happen.

"Verstand. My dorm where I sleep is empty man what's up with that? Where are all the boys? Not like I mind, I wouldn't like to share you." he smirked.

"Well then we have the same dorm as well." She liked where this was heading she could spend a lot of time with him then.

"From what I understand there is only 3 students in our dorm ourselves and my room mate but I hardly see her so it mainly will be just the 2 of us." She liked the idea of more alone time with him it meant that she could really get to know him personally.

"So do you have any hobbies?" She knew that she spent most of her time in history books studying up on her ancestors.

Lucian smirked, this was going well, they were the only two practically in their house, that meant that they'd spend a lot of time together, which was something that could only be a good thing what with a beautiful girl like Violeta.

"What a fortunate turn of events, and here I am thinking that I'd hate my dorm mates, quite the opposite in fact."

Nodding his head Lucian thought of his latest hobby, it was something that although he wasn't strictly supposed to do, he did anyway.

"I am into adrenaline producing activities, so, absailing, cliff diving, flying while not holding onto the broom, all those sorts of things, what about you? You must have many accomplishments."

"Well I spend a lot of my free time reading up on my family's history mainly because I have yet to find anything that has gained my intrest. You see my father is the last living member of the Romanovs the royal family of Russia for many year and he just escaped with his life." She loved the fact that she came from royalty though they were not on the throne at the moment she still lived in splendor since everyone still seemed to dote on her father and considered him their ruler instead of the president. Even the president himself came to her father for advice on how to run the country.

"Though I might want to try some of the activities that you mentioned sometime."

Lucian raised his eyebrow, a historian hm? He might just have to be careful with what he says around her, he wouldn't want her finding out he was hundreds of years old, that would ruin their friendship, and more besides.

"You would not have struck me as a history girl, you do however strike me as a princess, yet again, all girls are whether their father is royalty or not. It just makes you even more unique."

Grinning Lucian nodded his head, shifting against the wall as it was freezing and beginning to ache his back from standing there for such a long amount of time.

"Id be delighted to have you with me, I would of course protect you should anything go wrong, but you come across as a lady who can more than take care of herself."

Violeta had never smiled so much in a long time there was just something about Luc that made her smile and she could not put a finger on it but she did not mind for now she was no longer really mad at her parents for sending her to this dreadful place. Her parents would disaprove of her actions towards him since she just met him.

She lowered her gaze a little why was she all of a sudden starting to feel shy around him or was she developing a crush she had no idea for she was a sheltered child and her father's favourite.

When Violeta remained silent Lucian grinned, this meant that she was either beginning to think that he wasn't such a weird boy, and was beginning to like him, or that she was thoroughly creeped out and didn't know what to say.

"You have a lovely smile." he said, sincerely, for it was completely honest, it was the most radient smile he had seen in a while.

Smiling a little himself Lucian moved off the wall to stand in front of Violeta, it was getting too cold out here for his liking, being cold made him grumpy.

"So tell me...what classes are you taking?"

"Well I am takin Charms, Defence, World History and Dark Arts. What are you taking?" 'He was really interesting.' Violeta thought to herself and wondered why exactly she thought that but didn't really care.

"You know I find you really interesting and that is a little strange for me to find someone interesting other than those in history."

Honestly this was the best day at school for she wasn't bored and for the first time didn't really feel like going to her history books and reading about her ancestors.

Lucian thought for a moment, honestly he didn't really remember what he had signed up for, but he hoped that they would have at least been good, the Highmaster was trying to get him to sign up for flying. Like that was ever going to happen.

"I don't really remember all of them, but I know I'm taking Duelling, Defense and...oh and what else am I taking..."

Clicking his fingers Lucian grinned, showing his lovely white teeth and he smirked triumphantly: "I defeat you poor memory, I took Dark Arts too."

Grinning he shrugged his shoulder, putting his hands in his pocket to warm himself up: "Well thank you very much, I do pride myself on being interesting, looks like I'm suceeding."

'Really what is this feeling it is like I am attracted to him more than just a friend.' Violeta found her eyes on him again though more his face she wondered why he was still talking to her but she honestly did not mind that much in fact she kind of liked to haveing someone that she could talk to.

"So do you want to do anything other than just stand here and talk? Mind you I love to talk but it is kind of getting boring." She reached out and touched his arm gently. it looked like he was starting to get cold as well.

Lucian grinned, boy this girl was really something, she was getting bored of talking, what kind of girl got bored of talking? But he didn't mind he actually wanted to get inside and warm up a little bit.

Judging by her cold grasp on his arm so did she, resting his hand on top of her own Lucian smiled and started to walk into Durmstrang.

"I think we should go inside and get warm, maybe go steal some food from the kitchens, what do you think?"
