The Motionless Twin Empty The Motionless Twin

Salina was sad. Today was the day to leave Hogwart's, and next to her was her trunk. She had rested the trunk against the bed and then, she perched on said bed and stared down at her un-moving twin, Corinne. She still couldn't get over the fact that her sister was in a coma. A coma! A tear slid down Salina's cheek as she grabbed Corinne's hand and squeezed it lightly.

"Please awaken, ma sœur. I am missing you so much." Salina said in her best british accent. It sounded strange, but she had been trying to improve her english lately. It was a distraction, using English when she could be using French. It helped keep her mind off of bad thoughts.

Like, how long would Corinne be in a coma? Would she never wake? Would she die at an old age, still in a coma? What if she woke and could remember no one? That last thought was the one that made Salina's heart ache the most. Her beautiful, intelligent, wonderful twin, never remembering who she was. "J'aime tu, ma sœur." Salina whispered in French, hoping that it might trigger something.

Salina waited, waited for a sign on movement, of life from Corinne. When none came, she slumped into her old position and let the tears fall. She felt in-complete, for she was only half of a whole. Her and Corinne, they made the Girard Twins. Without Corinne, she was just Salina. Just Salina. That's all she could ever be without Corinne. An empty shell. A hole in her heart would remain, always waiting for Corinne to fill it. No one else could ever fill it but her twin.

With tears streaming down her cheeks, Salina let Corinne's pale hand fall from her grasp and she instead slid off the bed and grasped her trunk. She couldn't say anything, but instead just left Corinne behind for others to point at and whisper about. No one was interested in Corinne because they cared about her, it was just because she was in a coma and she had become oh-so-interesting. She looked back once as she reached the doors to the Hospital wing, before she vanished out of sight.
