Interesting Surroundings (Open)

Tabi could not believe they had finally made it home, but she knew that she wanted to get out and go for a walk. She was not sure where her sister was at the moment but she didn't care she just wanted to leave.

She headed off towards the nearest stores to do a little window shopping. Shopping never really was her thing but she wanted to do some real sole searching. She had been brought up to believe that Slytherins always took control that they were the ones that were important. After spending a the last year in the Slytherin dorm she notice that all of them seem to think different.

Maybe it was they wanted to do their own thing that wasn't related to their parents she was not sure. But she tried to be the bad girl, then she tried to do her part as a good girl, but neither one was working. It seemed that the other Slytherins just didn't want to run that way.

Not that Tabi and anything against muggles, in fact she had a few of them for friends that no one knew about, but it wasn't her whole world. She knew they weren't bad people, but it wasn't who she wanted to hang with all the time. With muggle friends you could not be yourself, and she hated to hide the fact she was a witch. That was the one thing she truly enjoyed being was a witch, she loved everything magical.

Tabi had finally made it to the tea shop she was looking for. She walked up to the counter and ordered some honey bread toast, with strawberry jam and a cup of tea with some sugar. Finding a small table outside she looked at everything around her and began to think about what was going to happen in the upcoming year, she was hoping that things would change.

Ivano was furious with his fellow house mates last term he did not understand why they acted the way that they did they were Slytherin they were suppose to look down at everyone else but he did not see anyone who acted what he would call a true Slytherin.

Why were they so daft could they not see that they were not acting like what he was taught a Slytherin should behave/act. He had spent most of his time in his dorm room because he could not stand them could not stand being around them and why should he there was no reason why he should.

Taking a walk to no place in particular Ivano ended up at a tea shop that he had never seen before but he decided that he had enough walking for the time being and chose to stop and get something to eat and maybe a cup of tea.

Walking up to the counter he ordered 2 cookies and a blue berry tea eying out of his corner of his eye a girl that seemed somewhat familiar he walked up to her. "Mind if I sit down?" He asked her while giving her his finest smile.

Tabi had heard a voice above her asking to sit down. She glanced up and saw a boy standing over her. He looked like someone she went to school with but was not sure.

"Last time I checked it was a free country, so I suppose you can sit." Kicking out the chair with her foot.

"So, my name is Tabitha Ann, but I prefer Tabi." Looking the boy up and down.

"You look familiar, who are you?" Tabi thought as she looked over this boy..He was just her type she thought.

Rolling his eyes a little but taking the chair that she kicked out with her foot he was beginning to like her but was not ready to admit it.

"The name is Ivano, Ivano Romano to be exact. And it is nice to meet you Tabi. Do you happen to attend Hogwarts?" He was trying to place where he had met her if they had actually met.

Leaning back in his chair a little he looked her over a little more studying her honestly she would make a perfect friend or enemy what ever happened he would be fine with that.

Tabi perked up a little when he asked her if she attended Hogwarts.

"Of Course, is there any other school. Second year Slytherin, the only house. And you." Tabi placed on her smile

Tabi could not help but wonder why she had not seen much of him. Unless he wasn't in Slytherin. She thought Parker was the only boy in her year in Slytherin, that was the only one she had seen, besides the couple of lions.

"So please tell me you are in Slytherin."

"Is there any better house? Of course I am in Slytherin though I hid away in the dorm room for most of the term because I was not going to spend time in the common room with those want a bes. Though you seem a lot different a lot more Slytherin like then I have seen all term." He smiled at her once again. Still leaning his chair back he continued to look her over the truth was he just couldn't take her eyes off of her she was just too interesting.

He knew that he wanted to get to know her more maybe he would end up spending more time out of his dorm this year so that he could do just that.

Taking a drink from her tea, she realized that Ivano was right, she was more Slytherin more now than when she was back at school.

"I guess stupid me was trying to fit in with those other people too much. I was expecting everyone to be muggle haters like I was raised only to discover they all seem to be muggle lovers." Placing her cup back on the table.

Leaning back in her chair crossing her right leg over her left, and folding her hands in her lap.

"So tell me Ivano, where do your loyalties lie?" Maybe if she could convince her parents that Ivano was a better choice for her then maybe she could get rid of Damien.

"My loyalties lay with the traditional Pureblood's, so supremacy of the Purebloods pretty much. I hate muggles with the core of my being especially those muggleborns they should not be allowed to attend Hogwarts period." He smiled again and looked around the room quickly making sure that no one was looking for him but why would they be his parents let him wander freely about.

"So where do you your loyalties lie?" He hoped that she would grace him with her loyalties since he shared his.

Tabi listened to Ivano talking about his loyalties and she was really glad because his were the same as hers even though last year she tried to change her mind but decided she was going to stick to what she would be taught.

Smiling at Ivano she said, "They are the same as yours, my parents are strong into their beliefs and I am not allowed to even mingle with the muggles. My sister on the other hand has muggle friends but my parents do not know about them."

It was try, not that she would tell on her sister she would not want her to feel her parents wrath.

"The one problem that I have with my parents is there are so into their Pureblood societies, I am actually betrothed to someone." She hoped with this statement he would not run away.

"I really hate this guy and he hates me, but if my parents were to met you maybe I could change their minds." Tabi really hoped that her parents would go for it Tabi wanted to marry because she was in love not because it was what she was ordered to do.

Just thinking about it made her tear a little and she did not like to show that side of her, it was a weakness and Slytherins didn't have them.

"Betrothed really?" He looked a little crushed but the truth was he was also promised to a women at one point but he had told his parents hands down that he did not like the girl at all of course they argued with him saying that it was the best for both of their families but eventually they gave in and decided to let him choose the women who he would like to marry some day.

Seeing how it upset her to talk about the guy he moved his chair over beside her and placed an arm around her. "Sometimes parents just don't understand what is best for their children. The truth is my parents had once had promised me to a girl but I told them last year that I did not like her of course they argued with me but they eventually gave in."

Tabi had went to grab a napkins off of the table to dab her eyes dry, as she did that Ivano pulled his chair close to her and placed an arm around her. Placing his arm around her shoulder made he feel very safe and she felt like this is where she belongs.

She could not help but place her head on his shoulder when he put his arm around her.

"I don't care what they say, I will either convince them that I have my own life and marry who I want, or I will just run away after graduation and marry anyway and then they can't stop me.
