Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Lucia grinned at Briony. "And I'd be happy to have you there," she said joyously.
Lucia frowned. Tapping her nose? Was it a clue? If so, who would it be? Nose? Was it someone who tapped their nose often? For some reason, her mind brought her to professor Dupont, but she wouldn't voice that. Hm... Oh screw that.
"Is it professor Dupont?" she asked curiously, "Or maybe it's professor Smith? Or professor Moody? Or professor Baudelaire? I can't think of another male professor who is still a bachelor. But I'm keeping a tab on professor Dupont," Lucia said smirkingly.
Lucia suddenly had a strong urge of going into the forest to see if she could find Cain. She decided to go into the forest on some open occasion when she didn't have paperwork. Lucia had to grin.
"Sorry, Briony, I can't keep our deal," Lucia said seriously. Then she smiled again. "How's your paperwork going?" she asked wickedly.

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Briony chuckled softly when Lucia guessed and she kept guessing until she got the right one, although her initial guess had been completely wrong, although she did believe that Raziel had gone after all of the men she had just listed to her.
"Well done, its Professor Smith, although I do think she has her eye on Professor Moody too, it may disappoint you Lucia dear but Gaspard is married already."
Smiling a little bit regrettably, Briony was shocked when Lucia said that she couldn't keep her deal and wondered what she was talking about.
"What do you-" Briony laughed a little and shook her head, she had begun to get a little worried about what she meant then, but was relieved to hear that it was only about paperwork "It's going...what about yours?"

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Lucia made a face. "Oh damn, he is? I am seriously terrible at keeping track of such things," she said with an exasperated shake of her head.
"But professor Smith? How is Ms. Charlotte taking these news? And what has he got to do with the nose thing?" Lucia asked confused, "And professor Moody. Not sure if Sofia will be happy or annoyed at that..."
She then frowned deeply. "I never realized before now that our staff is quite the 'Home and Away' show," she said humorously.
Then she turned serious. She had seen the slight look of worry on Briony's face, and Lucia tilted her head to the side.
"Are you all right, Briony? I mean, apart from the war and the strain with a German husband, are you okay?" Lucia asked seriously.
She then added a: "The paperwork is actually going pretty well, despite the stack."

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Briony chuckled softly and she shrugged her shoulders, she did do some research on her staff after all, and she knew that he had a wife that he was devoted to somewhere in Germany although she was unsure exactly where.
"Yes she lives in Germany though, for the life of me I can't understand why they don't just move to be together."
Unable to tell Lucia Cobalts secret she just focused on answering the other part of her question: "I am not sure that Charlotte knows about their little adventures, although I don't think that the Succubus is really serious about anyone."
Raising an eyebrow Briony asked: "Home and away? What is that?"
Briony chuckled and wondered what else could possibly be wrong apart from those things, and she nodded, not wanting to talk about the other thing on her mind:
"Yes I am quite fine, I'm just a little run down. How are you? Seriously?"

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Lucia tilted her head to the side. "I see your point," she said thoughtfully.
Lucia would hopefully never understand the strain of having someone you loved on the opposite side. Well, not opposite, just physically on the opposite. She also noticed how Briony avoided the nose question, but decided not to pry. Seriously, it really wasn't her business.
"A not serious succubus? Never heard that before," Lucia joked with a wink.
She was looking forward to meeting this succubus. She wouldn't mind learning something directly from one. She had never met a succubus and she really liked the thought of it.
Lucia then grinned. "Oh, just a muggle's dramaseries. But it's beyond drama, every episode is up to drama queen level," she said with a sigh, "Hogwarts isn't that bad, actually, when I think about it."
Lucia nodded with a small smile. She didn't know if that was the whole truth, but if she couldn't trust Briony, who could she trust?
"Oh, my life is the worst. I mean, I have some brilliant friends, awesome offices and four wonderful jobs. Seriously, it sucks to be me," Lucia said sarcastically. Then she turned serious. "But, no, I'm fine. I'm tired of the thought of war and all that, but who isn't? I can't complain about my life right now," she said honestly.

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Briony smirked slightly and thought about Raziel settling down with someone, even though she had heard that she might be swayed to soon, but not by someone that she would have ever thought of her ending up with.
"I know right? It's practically unheard of. You should be careful though Lucia, she has a brother." winking with a chuckle Briony ordered another shot and cradled it when it came to the table.
Nodding when she was told what Home and Away was, Briony knew now why she didn't know of it before, she didn't have a TV at her home and she had never had one, so she was behind the times when it came to the shows people watched.
"I would like to think that my staff and students are running around causing drama, although sometimes it is funny to watch it unfold."
When Lucia said, sarcastically, that her life sucked, Briony chuckled again, she was glad that she was alright and having a good time, the war was mentioned and Briony grew serious again.
"Yes, the war is something that is tiring even the most experianced of us out, the only one who still enjoys it I think is Sweeney."

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Lucia raised an eyebrow. "Really? Do you know him? Is he good looking?" she asked, raising her eyebrows up and down suggestively.
Lucia then nodded. She could really laugh to herself sometimes about the drama and the hypocrisy at the school sometimes, both from students and teachers, but at times it was extremely serious and horrible. She sighed.
"Yes, it can be very much fun sometimes, but it is not fun when it ends up with someone coming into the Hospital Wing," Lucia said exasperatedly.
Lucia turned serious when Briony said that no one enjoyed the war anymore.
"Sweeney? That was the woman who summoned the inferi army, right?" she asked, her tone jumping down a few notches.
She then nodded. "Yes, the war is so awful now, and it is reaching a point where it just seems plain ridiculous. I just cannot see the point of it anymore. Not after last year's event," she said, thinking about the ball and how many students that had died there.

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Briony laughed freely for a change and shook her head with an amused smile, it was the eyebrow waggling that had gotten her she thought;
"Well I dont know him, but I do know that he probably is good looking, you have to be I think when you're that kind of creature."
Still grinning Briony let it die out slightly, there had been so many people, children especially, hurt in this war, the injury of her almost niece Charlotte was shocking to Briony. Still was.
"Do you know something I think is beautifully strange? You know Charlotte Smith?" she asked Lucia waiting before continuing her story.
Smiling lightly, Briony quickly smothered it and sighed, that was right 'The Sweeney'. Not the Raven that she used to know: "Yes the Sweeney is a necromancer, you can see the effects it's had on her, we used to date you know. Me and her."
Briony bowed her head and gritted her teeth:
"That attack shames me. At times I think of getting my own back, but not on children. Never."

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Lucia shrugged. "Ah, you're probably right," she said with an 'obvious' face.
She couldn't help but look forward to the lesson with the succubus, if it were to occur. It would be most interesting. She wondered, maybe she should have the students prepare a question for the succubus?
When Briony asked if Lucia knew who Charlotte Smith was, her thoughts went to the blonde girl with the blood magic, and how Lucia had tried so hard to heal her wounds during last battle, gladly being successful.
"Yes, I know Charlotte Smith," she said with a soft smile; she was so glad that they had managed to save her after all.
Lucia blinked. Briony had been with the Sweeney? Huh, well, Lucia wasn't one to judge people, truly.
"I shall not say that I saw that one coming, because I am rather surprised. But I don't judge people for how they've lived. But was she always as cruel as she is now?" Lucia asked.
She couldn't imagine Briony, a good hearted, kind person (who could get rather murderous, of course) would ever be with someone who killed for the fun of it. Not to such an extent as the Sweeney, at least.
She then shook her head. "It was not your fault, what happened. Truly, Briony. You did all you could and more to stop that attack, and if you hadn't been there, I'm pretty darned sure that the outcome would've been completely different. But I'd say, the Germans are rather hypocritical, saying they're all so high and mighty and would never fight with injustice, but they sure have a funny way of showing it, sending not only high-skilled wizards and witches to fight children, but also inferi. I can never forgive such a thing," Lucia said coolly.

Re: What A Night! (Lucia and Briony)
Briony smirked gently and thought about just what her little niece had gotten herself into when she had gone out recently, she knew a little something about her niece that few others didn't, and it was very endearing, but she knew the friendship was doomed.
"Well you also recall the man who injured her? Viktor Nickel? She's friends with him, and has gone to see him on quite a few occasions. I think that's either beautiful, or complete stupidness."
With a small sigh, Briony frowned gently and placed a hand on her head, she felt for Raven, and a small part of her still loved her, a very small part;
"No, no she wasn't. Raven has been through things no human should have been through, I'm amazed she survived. Necromancy is a tricky game, it messes with your mind, and she has gone a little too far into it to come out again."
Agreeing with Lucia, Briony sighed lightly and thought that The Doctor was a person who wouldn't have sanctioned something like that;
"Oh but it was my fault. It was." she muttered sadly.
