Lesson One - First Years Empty Lesson One - First Years

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:38 pm

The Doctor stood out by the standing stones in the grounds of his school, the Durmstrang Institute. He enjoyed being outside and the fact that it was a little bit cold didn't bother him in the slightest. He grinned when he noticed all of the snow on the ground. Most other people would consider it freezing but he was happy just waiting for his students to show up.

Ella-May slipped into the presence for class, pulling out her wand and dropping her satchel on the ground. "Hello Professor," she said calmly. Ancient Runes sounded interesting and she couldn't wait to get started. She'd read up a lot on it, and it immediately had sparked her mind into a whirlwind of thought. Ella was excited about it, that was for sure.

Lesson One - First Years Empty Re: Lesson One - First Years

The Doctor greeted his newest student with a warm and happy smile. It was always nice to see young people taking an interest in Runes. They were remarkably helpful but most people at that age seemed to want instant, and flashy, results for their magic so they often opted for other classes. He smiled and drew the symbol for the day's lesson on one of the standing stones.

It was the "all-seeing" eye often seen in Egypt,

"Miss Schneider..." he smiled and pointed to it, "Could you possibly tell me what culture this symbol comes from?"

Ella-May stared in interest as the instructor drew a symbol on the standing stones. She recognised it immediately - she'd been to Egypt too many times on family holidays not to know what it was. She couldn't quite place it's proper name though. "That's from Egypt, sir," she said, almost too quickly.
