Second Years- First Lesson Empty Second Years- First Lesson

Post by Guest Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:44 am

This was the first time that Angelus had ever taught. He had spent many years doing this and that and then decided when a position came open he would come and teach here. He was also excited that he was also going to be the Head of Ravenclaw. He loved that house when he attended school all those many years ago.

Walking into his classroom for the first time he looked around and noticed how dusty and dirty it was. It was funny that back when he was in school Professor Binns was still the teacher. He was pretty sure that the students would find his lessons more interesting.

Angelus was not sure what the last teacher had taught so he thought he would start at the beginning and teach them the same thing at first. He needed to know what they found interesting.

After he made sure that everything was in order he sat and waited for his students to arrive.

Victoria was excited to see what this class would be like. She had wanted to take it last year, but that hadn't worked out. She had also heard that there was a new teacher this year.

As she made her way into the class, she was surprised to see she was the first one there. She took a seat near the front and smiled at the new teacher. "Hello, Professor. What's on the agenda today?"

Agatha walked in calmly. She was tired but that didn't stop her excitement. She loved history, any history really "Morning" She noticed the new professor and smiled heading to her usual seat. She wondered what they were going to learn. As usual she had read the entire book before even setting a foot on the school.

Angelus noticed two girls walk into the classroom he wondered if anyone else would show up. He might as well get started.

"Hello Class I am Professor Moody and this is History of Magic."

Angelus walked to the front of his desk and leaned into it.

"Who can tell me a war that has been fought in our world?"

Tabi was running a little late for History of Magic class but after what happened last night with her sister she really didn't care. Her face was sore and still a little read. walking into the classroom she noticed that the teacher had already started so she found a seat in the back of the room. She was going to be quiet and just take notes for right now and maybe participate later.

Victoria raised her hand. "I've read about what is called the first and second wizarding wars. But they seem to be too close together in time to be the only ones."

She was worried that her muggle upbringing would hinder her in this class. She had read the book, just to be prepared, but it was one thing to recite form a text, another to have grown up in that world.

"That is very true Ms. Rossmund, 10 points to Gryffindor.."

There were a lot of wars that have been fought in many different times.

"Ms. Prewett can you tell me another time that a war was fought in our world?"

Angelus looked at the clock that he had installed on the wall and noticed the time was almost up for this class.

Tabi could not believe that the teacher called on her, but that was ok she knew the answer.

"I believe it was the war where Albus Dumbledore fought Grindelwald, if I am correct."

Tabi had learned a lot of things from her parents

"You would be correct Ms. Prewett, 10 points to Slytherin." Angelus was thinking about the assignment that he should assign for them to do.

"For the homework assignment I would like a 50 word summary about the war between Albus Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and you can just place it in my inbox."

Angelus pointed his want at the door to open it for the class.

"Thank you ladies for your attention, have a nice rest of your day."

After they left Angelus sat down and added up the point totals.

15 Gryffindor

5 Hufflepuff

10 Slytherin
