Re: Welcome to your new home

After Tessa got settled into her room. She decided that it was time to try and make it to the living room. Her big goal was not to trip and fall. But since it was a new place. It was only a matter of time. She then placed her hands on the walls, as if to help guide her. But as soon as she thought she found the living room, she tripped over her own feet.

"... Thanks?" Agatha offered. She didn't know how she was supposed to act. Yes, she was excited to have a family but it also left her terrified. So many things could go wrong.

She looked around. It looked like, well, it looked like a normal house. Richard was extremely happy, she could tell . Agatha was lead to her room where she began to unpack. I can do this. She told herself as she walked back to the living room.

Tessa did what she didn't want to do. Fall on her face. This was something that she would have to get used to. But she knew that once she knew the house, it would be easier for her to get around.

Tessa tried to smile, she had just embarrassed herself. But she was being led and sat down on the couch. " I love suprises!." She was smiling. " I love my new home."

Tessa was grinning, she always wanted a puppy but was told no. But this was a guide dog so it was supposed to help make life easier. Tessa could feel that Yasmina had jumped up beside of her. She then leaned over and started to hug her. " Thank you dad."

Salina ducked off to her room rather quickly, her suitcase dragged behind her. She stepped inside her room, leant her bag against the wall and decided she'd un-pack later. She stepped outside of her room and pulled the the door shut. Her legs wavered beneath her and she crumpled. Her breathing became short and sharp as painfully memories ripped through her mind, and she took a breath to steady herself.

"Ne sois pas stupide, Lina. Vous avez une maison et une famille maintenant." She mumbled this to herself, before standing up with a soft sigh.

Her thoughts wandered back to her new home, and how much she had already begun to like Lotus and Richard. Richard was very enthusiastic, and it was hard not to smile around him. Lotus had a gentle manner about her, and she was very beautiful. She didn't know much about her new sisters, but she was happy to have some sisters anyway.

She walked back into the living room to see Tessa - her blind sister - hugging a dog who she presumed was a 'Guide dog'. She heard her say 'Thank you dad' to Richard, and Salina wondered if she should also refer to Richard and Lotus as 'mum and dad'. She wasn't quite sure about it yet, but once she got to know and love them, she would most definitely call them her 'maman' and 'papa'.

Tessa was still holding Yasmina. She was excited, now she could get around without any problem. After a couple of seconds passed, she noticed that someone new had entered the room. She then started to smile, she loved Yasmina.

Lotus entered the house and saw her family there in the room. Agatha, Tessa, Salina, and Richard. She gently placed a kiss on Richard's cheek before sitting beside him with a smile. She looked at Tessa holding the dog; adorable. Gently she stood up and pressed a kiss to each of their foreheads.

"I don't want you girls to feel pressured to please, or nervous around any of us. Act like yourselves; speak freely and do so freely." She paused as she wiped a happy tear from her eyes.

"Smile you stubborn girl you! I'm getting married to a wonderful man!" Came the exaggerated command

"A wonderful man that's not my father!" Lotus would scream back

"I will never judge either of you or try to control you." She promised before leaning over to wrap her arms around Richard in a hug to help herself.

Tessa was smiling, she was finally happy. Yasmina then licked her cheek. She realized that she finally had something that she always wanted. A family.

Salina nodded her head at the three others in the room. Awkwardly, she wrung her hands together and looked down at her feet. She wanted to thank them, but she wasn't sure how. Several idea's flickered across her mind, but she finally settled on one. It was something that in France was considered an honour, calling your adoptive parents as if they were your parents.

She edged closer to Tessa, feeling a strange protectiveness over her. Perhaps it was because of what had happened to Corinne, or because the girl was now her younger sœur, but she took a liking to Tessa and wanted to keep her safe and happy. She also realised it could've been because she was blind. Whatever the reason, Salina promised herself she would never let harm come to Tessa. She closed the distance between her and her sister and placed her hand gently on the girls shoulder.

"Zat dog ees cute, ma sœur. I just want to say, zat eef anyone ever threatens you, 'urts you - physically or mentally - you come to me, oui? You are my leetle sœur, and eet ees my job to protect you," said Salina in a soft tone. She smiled briefly, but knew that Tessa could not see it. This sadenned her. She then turned to face her maman and papa.

"Maman, Papa, I thank you for taking me eento your 'ome. Eet ees so kind of you." Salina liked calling them maman and papa more than her previous parents. It felt right and natural, not like something she did in respect for her parents, and respect alone. There had never been any love.

Tessa was smiling, becuase she had never had an older sister. But now she had two of them. She then looked up and heard Salina talking. Listening to every word she was saying. She knew that she would protect her and won't let anybody harm her. But she could tell that she was smiling, over the years Tessa been able to feel other people emotions.

Tessa then hugged her father back. She loved him with all of her heart. He was known the center of Tessa's world. In fact her whole family was the center of her world. Because this was something Tessa never had, but she know did and loved it.

She was shocked but also surprised. “ A family vacation? I never been on one before.” That part was true, because she didn’t' get out of the orphanage to take trips. Unless one of the older girls would take her down to the stables to let her go horseback ridding.

Tessa loved the idea, that way she could get to spend more time with her family. But the idea of going somewhere different. And she had no idea where they were going. This was only going to keep Tessa up, just thinking about it.

Agatha smiled and played with her sister's dog. "Vacation?" She frowned having unpacked all her things. Oh well. She shrugged deciding that it would be fun to go somewhere. "That sounds fun" She spoke calmly. She was still nervous but figured it would take a while to be comfortable around the rest of her new family.

"Where are we going?" She asked her new father. It was so strange to think of someone she didn't know as father. The whole experience seem a bit surreal to her and some time she would pinch herself just to make sure it wasn't one of her strange dreams.
