Lesson Two - Second Years

[Doctor Florence Nettle]

He yawned a little bit as he sat against one of the standing stones. Of course he didn't really sleep a lot last night, thinking of things. The Doctor sighed, trying to block out the thoughts once again. It was the anniversary of the sealing of his clan and it always brought bad memories.

Lucian walked to the Doctors lesson and thought that he would at least try not to be a complete ass to the man today, it looked like he had it rough last night, and he didn't want to make it any worse on the guy.

"Yo, are you alright Doctor? Rough night?" he asked, actually a little concerned about his Professor, he did actually like the guy and didn't like that he got annoyed with him sometimes.

The Doctor saw Lucian approaching the standing stones and smiled a little bit, waving at his one good second year student,

"Hello Lucian." He greeted the second year with a smile but without his usual enthusiasm, "I hope you're ready because I've got a real treat for you today."

Standing up, The Doctor yawned a little bit and nodded a little bit at Lucian's question,

"Yes... bad memories." he replied quietly before shaking his head, "Anyway... We're moving onto a new topic; barriers."

He handed Lucian a small piece of paper with a rune drawn on it. The rune was a circle with many other circles inside it, each getting smaller the further in they got,

"Do you have any ideas as to what types of barriers can be made?"
