Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley walked into the infirmary and looked around. She saw Leisha quickly and walked over to the bed. She sighed. Haley hadn't gotten to talk to Leisha that much this year, and this was not a good feeling now. She couldn't lose Leisha. She'd lost so many already.
She squeezed Leisha's hand. "Come on, Leisha, please, just wake up, all right?" she asked and looked at the girl's sleeping face.
She had heard that Leisha wasn't in a coma, but it wasn't comforting. Not really. Haley lifted her head and saw Corinne. She sighed. It was such a sad aura over the infirmary at the moment.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte had decided that it might be a good idea to come to the infirmary to get some advice from Healer Henley about a problem that she had been having with her heart, it was always nice to get the day or two without any trouble from it, before it goes back to the way it was.
Looking around she bowed her head as she saw the two girls in there in coma's, or whatever they were suffering with. Charlotte felt the suppresive atmosphere and wished that she almost hadn't come, but it was important that she got fixed up.
With a small smile she spotted Haley and was a little shocked, what if she asked why she was here.
"Hey Haley." she said quietly, not wanting to break the silence.

Haley looked up, a bit startled, when someone called her name. She saw that it was Charlotte and smiled softly.
"Hey, Charlotte," she said in the same volume as her.
She wondered if Charlotte had come to visit as well, and hoped so, really, not wanting something to be the matter with the girl. But she felt it would be rude to ask the girl why she was there.
"How are you?" she asked instead, though that could also be taken as an inquery to whether or not she was at the hospital for advice, but Charlotte could avoid answer it with anything of the like unless she wanted to.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte smiled happily when Haley talked back to her, she hadn't wanted to upset her by speaking during her visit to Leshia but she wondered if she was alright, after all, she looked very upset as you would be if your friend ended up in the Hospital Wing.
When she asked her if she was okay Charlotte nodded her head and smiled slightly, she was okay for the moment, there was no pain, after all she had been trying to take it easy.
"Yes I'm fine, how are you holding up?" she asked looking from Leshia to Haley with a small smile.
Casting her eye around the Hospital Wing, Charlotte saw no sign of Healer Henley and frowned a little bit: "Do you know where Professor Henley is?"

Haley smiled to Charlotte, hearing that she was okay. Then she shrugged.
"It's weird. But Healer Henley has assured me that they will both be fine. It is just a matter of when. She said she wouldn't be surprised if Leisha was back on her feet by next week, so I'll take her word for it," Haley said softly.
She nodded. "Yeah, she had to run down to fetch some papers on her Deputy office. She said she'd be back in not too long, though," Haley said with a small smile.
Then she turned again and looked at Leisha and then over to Corrine.
"It's horrible, isn't it? That something like this should happen to us?" she said slowly, trying to make out the mess she was in herself, what with Swandeth in her mind so frequently.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte, although not being great friends with either of the girls was still slightly upset by seeing any human like this, just a few weeks ago they had sat in class together they had been talking and smiling, and now that was gone, it was scary.
"Well with a great healer like Professor Henley watching over them I just know that they're going to be fine at the end of it, and hopefully Leshia will be up by the end of the week like she said."
Nodding her head with a small smile Charlotte hoped that she wouldn't freak out when she asked her to do what she needed, and she debated with herself if she should even go ahead with it.
"Oh okay I'll just wait here until she comes back then, unless you know you want me to give you some space."
Charlotte smiled sadly and nodded her head: "It is horrible, people tend to pick on children because theyre easier targets I guess."

Haley nodded. "Yeah, she's pretty great," she said softly, remembering the time she had been in her first fight with Swandeth.
Haley then shook her head. She didn't want Charlotte to leave. Silence and solitude made things so much worse. Now she could discuss it with others, make it more true, but at the same time, get some frustration out.
"No, please stay. Pull up a chair and sit down," Haley said with a soft smile, suddenly feeling utterly lost.
She hated that feeling, but it was haunting her like never before these days. She felt so alone, and with all the things happening, Leisha being unconscious, Corrine being in a coma, her parents being dead, her friends so sad a lot of the time... It pushed her down.
"I can't stand this war, you know. It's horrible and its killed and hurt so many innocent," Haley said with a sigh, "And humans really are cowards sometimes. Picking on the kids."
Haley looked over to Corrine. Awful...

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte was glad that she didn't want her to leave, she didn't want to have to sit around outside the Hospital Wing while she knew that inside Haley was upset and needed someone to talk to, she would always want to help the girl who was so nice to her last year.
"Okay I'll stay here then." she smiled happily and pulled up a chair next to Haley, she didn't want to be insensitive but she really didn't know "So, do you know what happened to Leshia?"
Hoping that Haley wouldn't be upset with this question, Charlotte absentmindedly traced the faint outline of the heart still on her hand from last night, she hadn't gone over it yet.
Charlotte hated this war too, it was awful to her, and it made everyone so sad and upset.
"I know, it's horrible to think of what people have done, all over some petty little competition that we happened to lose, it's just not a good enough reason to have all of these deaths going on."

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley smiled slightly as Charlotte sat down, but it vanished when she asked how it happened. Not because she was hurt by the question or anything, but because of the mystery behind it.
"No one really knows for sure. It seemed to just happen out of the blue. Madam Henley has said it to be exhaustion, and with everything going on in her life, I can't really blame her," she said softly.
She then noticed how Charlotte was tracing something on her hand. Haley got curious and carefully took Charlotte's arm and pulled it towards her. She saw that it was a very faint heart.
"Oh, that's pretty," she said with a smile, "I think I'll dare to suppose you made it?" Haley said with a small grin.
Haley frowned. She actually didn't know the reason for why the war was raging.
"You seem to know a bit more about it than I do. Could you tell me what competition it was? Wait. Can I guess and say the Triwizard Tournament?" Haley asked curiously.
Haley understood that with professor Smith as an adoptive father and all, Charlotte might have more information about the different stuff about the war that Haley herself hadn't found out about.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte did not expect to hear from Haley that there was no apparent reason for how Leshia had gotten to be like this, she supposed that it made it even worse for her loved ones because they couldn't begin to treat her if they didn't know what was wrong.
"Hopefully once her body has had enough rest it will pass and she'll come back to normal once again, I wish that it would happen sooner rather than later though."
Blushing a little when Haley pulled her hand towards her Charlotte tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and hoped that she wouldn't ask why she had drawn the heart in the first place.
"Awww thank you Haley, and yes I drew it, with some inks, although Papa doesn't really think it's a good idea because I might get ink poisioning, I think he's just being too overcautious." she said with a smile.
Charlotte didn't know a lot about what had happened, only that it was a competition that was not the Triwizard Tournament:
"I can try and give you a bit more information, things have been kept rather secret haven't they? Apparently there was some arguement about one of the results from the Triwizard Tournament between Hogwarts and Durmstrang, so they decided to have a duel to decide, and then extra German's interfered and both champions ended up dead."

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley nodded gravely. Leisha being fast asleep and unconscious was not a bright prospect in her life, and she hoped with all her heart that the girl would be back on her feet as quickly as possible.
"I wish so too. It's sad how life keeps throwing us lemons. Well, when it throws you lemons, make limejuice, sit back, and make the whole world wonder how you did it," she said with a soft smile.
Haley saw the blush, and wondered if Charlotte had made it because she was thinking about Airen, but somehow that just didn't seem quite ... Charlotte-like. Maybe she was far off, though, she didn't know Charlotte that good that she could say that it wasn't a heart loving Airen. But she wouldn't ask. It could be really personal, in either of the cases.
"Well, he could be right, depending on how much you draw on yourself," she said with a grin. Then she turned serious. "You don't draw stuff like this on your hands all the time, do you? Because inkpoisoning is not something to strive for."
Haley nodded, and then paid attention to what Charlotte said. She frowned when she heard both the competitions had died.
"But that's kind of weird. You'd think that the death of both of them would bring them closer together. They would know that they both suffered a great loss. If it had been only Durmstrang losing their competetive, it would've been more understandable, because it would've been easier to point fingers and name names. But maybe that's just the mind of a twelve-year-old speaking," Haley said with a shrug.
"Of course, I imagine it was way more serious than what I can think of," she added with a soft smile.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte grinned slightly, she had never heard that expression before and she wondered for a moment just what it meant, before realising that it was almost the same as the well known one, only more cool, so she decided that she might use it if the occassion callled for it.
"That's a great phrase, it made me smile." she said with a small laugh
When she was asked if she drew on her skin often, Charlotte thought back to the times that she had done because she had nothing else to draw on, and now around the same time every year she tended to draw the same thing on her hand, not that anyone had noticed before as she normally kept it covered.
"No I don't do it often, just when the mood takes me really, and it does seem a bit girly to draw a heart on my hand doesn't it? Although I've done it for so long now I couldn't change it to something else, it's be weird." Charlotte smiled.
The situation with the competition was something that Charlotte didn't know much about and didn't want to pry into, because it might end up showing her some unsavoury results, with a small smile she shrugged her shoulders:
"You would think so, but I guess each side blamed each other for the death of their champion and then rifts just formed and things got worse and worse."

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley giggled. "Yeah, I found it along with a whole bunch of other funny ones. And sorry, but I'm gonna have to tell you my favorite, though it's not really meaningful or anything. Anyways, here it goes: 'A loser is a window-washer on the 44th floor, stepping back to admire his work'," Haley said, chuckling well-heartily.
She then tilted her head a bit to the side. She studied the heart a bit more, wondering why she had continued to draw one, but that made it clear: it was not because of Airen.
"Can I ask why? Or is that too personal?" Haley asked softly.
She nodded and knew that Charlotte had a point. If things were bad enough, then there just was no way to mend it, even if you did know someone who felt the exact same way.
"I guess that's pretty true," she said calmly, "I just wish it was over and done with."

Charlotte waited patiently to hear this other funny phrase and she giggled lightly when she heard it, it was funnier than the last one and also, although slightly morbid, made her laugh a lot more. Trying to stop herself from laughing, the motion beginning to make her chest hurt, Charlotte smiled.
"That's a good one! The best out of the two you've told me to be sure, it's really funny, where do you find these phrases, are they in a book somewhere?"
Seeing Haley's head tilt to one side, then her asking her the question, Charlotte smiled slightly and decided that she wouldn't hide it from her, or anyone if they asked.
"I've got a bit of a problem with my heart, it's why I'm here, just been a bit niggly lately that's all, I'm fine." she smiled.
With a nod, Charlotte sighed; "Yes I wish that it would be over too..."

Haley grinned at Charlotte and then shook her head. "No, I get it from the internet. You know, for being a fullblood, I sure do have a whole bunch of muggle equipment," she said with a small frown, "Seriously, I think I have more muggle equipment than I do magic equipments."
Haley felt a weird sting in her stomach when Charlotte said she had some problems with her heart. What did that mean? Was it going to be all right? Seriously, it had to be serious, otherwise she wouldn't be bothered with it anymore.
"You have a heart condition? I-is it serious?" Haley asked, stammering because she felt herself shaking slightly.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte was a little happy that she had managed to meet someone who might know something about a computer, she hadn't had the chance to ask anyone else but had been quite interested by the device herself.
"Do you have a computer? I've heard they're really good and I might want to get one, but I don't even really know what they do." Charlotte pouted slightly at her lack of knowledge.
With a small smile, Charlotte shook her head, she wanted to comfort Haley, but she didn't however want to lie to her because that wouldn't be right at all. Sucking at her lip piercing she said:
"No it's not serious at the moment, so don't worry about me okay? I'll be just fine for the time being." she said with a large smile.

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley smiled, nodding her head. "Yes, I have a computer. And though I used it more before I started Hogwarts, it's brilliant. It let's me keep contact with familymembers all over the world really. And it has many funny websites where you find information on movies, or you can watch clips from movies or just randomness. It's amazing," she said with a big grin.
She wasn't surprised that Charlotte didn't have a computer. Though Haley knew a few people who had it, there were many more who didn't. Computers really weren't the biggest deal in the wizarding world, probably because of apparation and floo powder.
But when Charlotte told her that the heartcondition was nothing to worry about for the time being, Haley did not feel at ease at all. That meant that is was serious. Haley felt worry and fright well in her stomach, but she concealed it from her face. If there was a heartcondition, then Charlotte had more than enough to worry about than Haley being happy.
"That doesn't sound so good, you know. And I'm betting that you don't like thinking about it yourself, that you fear it," Haley said softly, "But smiling because you don't want me to worry is a waste of time. I can handle whatever you throw at me, Charlotte, as long as it makes you feel better."

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte had no idea what a website was but it sounded like something that she would like if she got to grips with it and if you could find silly things on there that was even better! Since you could watch movies on it too, Charlotte decides that a computer might be better than a TV.
"Well maybe I should get one of those then! After all it sounds like you can do really cool things on there, much more than a TV let's you do, so perhaps I'll save up and get a computer instead."
Now thoroughly set on the idea, Charlottes smile dimmed a little, it was true that she was afraid and she threw herself into other things to stop this, but she didn't want to let Haley know the full extent of what was happening to her, she didn't need the extra worry.
"Well it's not serious now, it will get serious in the future though, I keep trying to her it fixed but every time I do it just comes back how it was before and I don't know what to do. Papa is very upset and won't talk to me about it, which makes it even more scary." she said softly "But I don't want to be a burden on you."

Haley grinned. "Yeah, a computer is much better than a TV, because on a computer you can pretty much see whatever the TV sends as long as you know how. I'm sure Airen or I could show you, it's no stress," she said with a smile.
She then shook her head quickly, making her red hair whip from side to side. "No, you won't be a burden, Charlotte. I swear. I'm good at these things. Mother always told me that if I turned out to be a squib, I should try to make the cut as a psychiatrist because I'm extremely good at understanding other people's pain without letting it inflict on my personal life. Like being empathising, but not sympathizing if you understand? So it won't burden me, Charlotte. Honestly," she said seriously.
It wasn't entirely true though. Oh, the part about empathy and sympathy was very much true, but Charlotte was a friend of Haley's and their pain was something different, but she still managed to distance herself from horrible things. She did, truly. She then frowned. They had been sitting there for quite a while.
"Oh, dammit... Charlotte, I have to go, I have homework I have got to finish... I'm so sorry, but I will help you, Charlotte, whenever you need me!" Haley said and rose from her chair, planting a kiss on the top of Charlotte's head, "Honestly."
She gave a smile to the girl before she turned and left.
(OOC: Woooow... that was an abrupt halt... Sorry about that, but I figured as the school is about to end and all... However, you can continue this thread with Lucia if you want to, I can have her come now )

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Charlotte smiled lightly and she wondered just what she would do without people like Haley around to make her feel better, she woudl quite like to be shown how these computer things work, and perhaps Haley could come over to her house and show her.
"Well perhaps when I get one you can come and show me how to use it or something?" she asked with a cheery smile.
When she was just about to repsond to Haley's comment about her being good at understanding other people's pain, Charlotte was a little shocked that she had to leave, almost as if she had forgotten something that she needed to do.
"Oh don't worry about it please, I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to talk over the holidays, you can owl me or come and visit if you want to." she said in a friendly tone.
Gingerly, Charlotte touched the top of her head where Haley kissed and blinked slightly from the gesture, nobody had ever really done that to her before, and she felt a smile tug at her lips.
Getting up from her chair she forgot completely about the reason that she came there, and began to wander back to the common room.
(OOC: It's okay I'll come back and do the thread another time if that's okay? ^^)

Re: Visiting the Infirmary (Open)
Haley beamed. "I'll definitely do that for you," she said happily.
She liked hanging around Charlotte. The girl was supernice and she really was someone Haley would really like as a friend. She was very happy when Charlotte also told her that she understood. She smiled widely.
"I'll definitely come over during the holidays," she said happily, glad to have that to look forward to.
She then left, dashing down the stairs towards the library, needing to finish the potion assignment before curfew.
