Visiting the parents (Open)

Juliet felt like a visit to her parents' grave was entitled since it was awhile since she was last there for she was kind of trying to avoid England but now she felt more at home there than she did in Germany though of course she was not going to move back since she had work to do now that needed her to be in Germany.

Sighing she brushed the dust off their tombstones and knelt in front of them she felt like a lost child and could almost feel their arms reaching out for her. "Sorry that it has been so long since my visit. I have learned that you were keeping a secret from me however. Why didn't you tell me that I had a brother? I wish could talk so you can answer my questions."

Jonathan had been missing his parents and so he thought he would take this opportunity to go and visit them while he was in England. He had applied to a position at Durmstrang and was just waiting to see if he got accepted.

He wanted to go there becasue someone he had known growing up was working there, but they didn't know them. Their memories had also been taken. There was so many things going on back when he was growing up he was glad he didn't remember most of them.

Walking up towards his parents grave he noticed a woman kneeling at the grave that was next to them. That was the grave of the Charliencos, he had made sure to bury his parents next to their best friends.

Walking up to the grave he slowly noticed who was sitting there. It was Juliet, not that she knew him, but hopefully soon she would.

"Hello there, I see you know my parents friends." Jonathan smiled at her.

Juliet looked up when she heard a voice and there was a man standing by the grave beside her parents' he was saying something about his parents' friends but what she could not make up did he know her parents if so did she know him? She could not remember ever meeting him before.

"Oh I guess I might know them seeing that this is my parent's grave here." She finally said when she realized what he was saying. Standing up she looked him over and she was sure that she had not met him before but for some reason he seemed connected to her.

"My name is Juliet Charlienco by the way." She smiled at him and offered him her hand it was a little weird but he might know something that she didn't about her past and maybe how her parents actually died.

Jonathan took her offered hand and helped her to her feet.

"Nice to meet you, Juliet. I am Jonathan Browning, but you may call me Jon." He smiled at her noticing how she had grown up from the girl from his memories. He had a feeling that she was as lost as he was when he discovered what his parents had done to him and he only imagined how she was going to feel when he shared what he knew.

"So, you said these are your parents, well this people right here." Pointing at his grave. "These are my parents, and it appears your parents and mine were the best of friends, and died fighting in what they believed in."

Jonathan noticed a bench that was right across from their parents grave. "Shall we take a seat over hear and talk."

Leads her towards the bench. "I suppose you came to your parents for answers, I too came looking for answers. Not that they voice them very well.

Letting him lead her to the bench Juliet was in shock his parents new her's was this really happening or was she just dreaming. He seemed sure of himself however so maybe she could just trust hi no matter how much he may change her life. She came to her parents' grave for answers and maybe today was her lucky day maybe she would finally get some answers that she was wanting.

"So our parents' were friend's, then why don't I recognize you? I would think that if they were friends then I would of at least have some memory of you for wouldn't you come over with them or wouldn't I of gone to your house with my parents' at some point."

Juliet was confused she did not know who he was but some how he held some of the answers that she wanted to know for a really long time.

Jonathan listened to her ask these questions, and he had to admit they were very valid questions and he had asked similar questions to himself many times. When she talked about seeing each other at times he knew that they had seen each other many times, but of course neither of them remember it, they weren't suppose to.

"Well I believe the best way to start this is ask you what you do remember. Like what school you went too, the house you were in, friends that you hung out with."

"Well I remember attending Hogwarts and being sorted into the Slytherin house. How ever I did not have very many friends because I kept to myself a lot. I have recently found out that I have a brother which has thrown me into not knowing what to believe about my past any more for I always thought that I was an only child." She looked down to the ground she probably seemed like a lost puppy at the moment but she had never met anyone who held the secrets of her past before or could tell her things that she wanted to know.

Juliet leaned against the bench and looked up once more and studied him again trying to place him but drawing up blank they had to of met before she was fairly sure that she knew all of her parents' friends well apparently not if he is here that meant that she didn't know one of them or did but had her memories of them wiped away for some reason.

Jonathan listened to what she knew and that was pretty much all he knew too. He knew this all too well.

"Well, let me weave you a little tale. I also attended Hogwarts, except I was two years ahead of you. I too was in Slytherin house. That was all I remembered up until a year ago when my parents died."

Jonathan got up off the bench and started to pace back and forth. There was so much information to give her, but how much to pour on her at one time..

"Anyway when they passed away there was a secret passage in their bedroom that was revealed to me when I was cleaning out their room. Inside this room there contained many vials of memories and lots of notes and paperwork. I also came across tons of photos. Many of family pictures with people I did not know, or thought I didn't know." Jonathan took a moment to breathe and looked over at the graves.

"I never understood why they always seemed so sad all the time until I found this room." Jonathan sat back on the bench.

Jonathan pulled a note out of his jeans pocket and handed it to Juliet.

"I found this on a box sitting on the desk in this room"

"Jonathan,

If you have found this note then I am sorry that we are no longer with you. Believe me when I tell you that what you will find in this box will surprise you and probably make you very mad at us. Many years ago your father and I caused a lot of problems along with some friends of ours. We had our beliefs and we believed that muggles were the same as us and we wanted to protect them.

The family name of our friends was Charlienco, Rosali and Karl Charlienco and their daughter Juliet and son Terrence. Rosali and I go way back but in this note I do not want to bear you the details, you will find out soon enough. Anyway when Juliet was 16 and Terrence was 7 there was a battle and we barely escaped with our lives. Rosali and Karl were not as lucky. But their dying wish was that their children be separated and their memories modified. They were not to know of each other or us. So that is what we did, but in order for it to work properly we had to take your memories as well.

Juliet and you fought us to no end, you guys were the best of friends and didn't want to lose that, but we had no choice it had to be done. It was a good thing it happened after you already graduated Hogwarts or someone would have had to be moved away.

Now that we are gone it is going to be your responsibility to take care of Juliet and Terrence, we have been doing it from a far. Someone had to look after Juliet without her knowing she was always stubborn, just like you. Everything you need to restore everyone's memory is in the box. Also instructions as to finding them. Terrence will be attending Durmstrang when he turns 11 because that is where she is, everything you need for him to find her is in there. You must wait until they find each other to reveal yourself. You will always be in danger if anyone discovers who you are, so please be careful and take care.

Jonathan watched her read the letter and patiently waited for any questions she might have, along with he memories if she wanted them.

Juliet took the letter and read it slowly. Why did her parents want her memories to be altered? Was there something that was so deeply hidden from her past that they did not want her to remember it or go looking for it? She let the questions run through her mind as she read the letter. Was it even true? It had to be or he would not be here right? She was still not sure that it wasn't a dream or just someone trying to mess with her head telling her that she had a best friend that she did not even remember having.

"So is this all true? Were you really my best friend?" She had so many questions but did not feel right to bombard him with them all. Though one part stuck in her head the part about restoring the memories did she really want to know about her past? She thought she did.

"Do you actually have the means to restore my memories of you and your family along with my own?" She wanted to know oh how she desired to know about her past and him. He seemed like a stranger to her yet he knew so much about her and even said they were friends best friends to be exact.

Jonathan looked at her and remembered that feeling all too well, that was exactly how we felt. He smiled when she asked if they had been best friends.

"Well to put it this way. How could we not be best friends, we practically grew up together since you were born. I was older and I had to look out for you. I remember when I went off to Hogwarts and you still had two years to wait. I think I received an owl from you daily telling me how much you missed me, sometimes two or three times a day." Jonathan laughed

"My house mates were so glad when you came to school so I would stop getting the owls" Jonathan was still laughing at the memories.

Jonathan thought about things when she was wanting to know about restoring her memories. He was glad and sad when he got his memories back. He had two vials of memories one was things you would want to remember and then the other one was the bad memories, things you may not want to remember.

Pulling the vials out of his pocket " I have one vial that has the good things and one that has the bad things. It is completely your choice how you want to handle things. We can do this whenever you want. I wasn't planning on doing this now, but since I saw you I could not help myself." Jonathan smiled and her and waited for her decision.

Two vials did she want the bad memories well she should have both right though she was not sure if she wanted that. "I think I will have them both." She wanted to remember everything that happened in her life and it felt wrong if she only chose the happy ones.

Sighing a little this was a little to much for her but if he was who he said he was then she should trust him but if this was just a dream then she would not be affected anyways. So she went with logic and chose to take the vials for who would not want to know about their past if they could not remember vital parts.

Jonathan was glad when she choose both vials. He knoes that it is hard to choose. He took the good one first himself and then realized that it was his life and needed to take both.

"Good decision." as he handed her the vials. "Now you can either take them both right now, or wait till you get back to your place. The choice is yours."

He believe that giving her the choice to either take them now or go back home she would see that there was nothing in the vials that would hurt her. It was up to her.

She took the vials and studied them when he said that she could take them either here or at her house she knew what she was going to do and that was take them right then and there for she knew if she waited any longer she might chicken out and not take them.

Opening the first one she closed her eyes and downed it she was not sure which one it was she just wanted to get it over with that she did not bother to look what one she was taking what difference did it matter. Suddenly a stream of memories that someone would not want to remember flashed through her mind and she quickly grabbed the other vial and downed it too so she could have the happy memories. She smiled for the first time now she recognized him he was her friend and who he said he was.

"Jon! it has been way too long!" She smiled at him again she was the happiest that she had been in a really long time.

Jonathan was really glad that she chose to do it with him right there.

He could not help but hug her. "It has been way too long, waiting this last year has been alomst a killer."

They had so many things to catch up on they he didn't know where to begin maybe he would just let her talk.

"Well now that you know somethings you didn't know, how do you feel." Jonathan asked, he couldn't be happier having his friends.

She could not wipe the smile off her face. "I feel really happy for the most part knowing about my past but a little sad of what I have missed all these years." She frowned a little bit but then smiled again she kind of felt weird at the moment to feel both happy and sad at the same time. Leaning against Jon her friend her best friend she felt like she did not belong anywhere else at the moment.

She wanted to spend the entire evening and night catching up for it had been way to long since she had seen him last and she wanted to know what he had been up to. "So what have you been up to for the past how many years?" Too many years for her to count.

Jon placed his arm around Juliet's shoulder pulling her to him..It just felt like home again.

"Well where to start, I have been bouncing back and forth from England and Germany, trying to keep the peace in the world. Went to university now I can pretty well teach anything I want, but I will stick to the stars."

Jonathan just kept thinking of everything they missed out on. "I have for the most part stayed single all of these years, doesn't bode well to be a spy and have a girl." Jon laughed at thought about the last time he had a girl.

"I did get some good news though today, I received my acceptance letter to become the Astronomy Lehrer at Durmstrang. You think you could put up with me being that close to you?" he squeezed her a little

So he was also a spy. "You know I have recently became a spy myself. She smiled at him he was the first person who she felt like she could tell and that he would not go tell everyone he knew.

she clapped her hands with excitement when she found out that he was going to be teaching at Durmstrang for she hoped to get to know him more. "of course I can put up with having you close to me." She said as she gave him a playful punch "You goof I would not want you anywhere else we need to catch up." She smiled again it just felt so good to be with hi again to know him again.

Thinking about the catching up part he thought about Terrence.

"I also have memories for Terrence too, but he was only seven you I am going to leave it too you what you want to do." Jon was remember when Terry got the package from him with all the information.

"I was the one that got Terry all set up for school. Got all of his books and the portkey to take him to Durmstrang." He had to laugh as he remember the look on Terry's face when he got whisked away by the portkey.

"I of course followed him to make sure he went where he was suppose to. You should have seen the look on his face when he found out about the magic stuff. I guess they had bonded his powers so he would not have any accidents. so when my parents dies he got his powers." Jon loved this whole last year.

"The only problem was I couldn't come outright and tell him everything so I left him to guess, I hope he wasn't too mad at you when he showed up."

"Oh he wasn't really mad at me though I probably seemed a little rude when he walked into my classroom on the first day." She laughed as she remembered that day and also felt a little sad at how she had treated him. "Anyways everything is set for him to move in with me now I just have to pick him up from his aunt and uncle's place and I have guardianship over him"

She couldn't wait to have her brother in her home and get to know her childhood friend it was a little too much but she could handle it this year by far was the best year in her life so far.

Jonathan was glad to hear she did not have any problems getting guardianship over Terrence. She is just what the boy needed. Since Terrence's adopted parents died Terrence felt really out of place with his aunt and uncle and really needed to be away from there. Jonathan was glad that him leaving for school came really fast or he would have had to intervene in the situation.

"Do you want me to go with you to get him? I wouldn't mind." Jon said smiling..he seemed to be smiling a lot now.

"So I have a question for you?" Jon was curious about the fight that had just occurred at Hogwarts.

"So what do you know about the fight that just happened at Hogwarts?" Jonathan had been requested but by the time he got there everything was over.

She smiled again. "I would appreciate if you would join me when I talk to my brother." Thinking about his question about the attack on Hogwarts well what was there that she knew for certain well there was the owl that she had received from the Highmaster.

"Well honestly I did not want to go but the staff meeting that we had The Highmaster made it so that we had to fight or sound like it. The attack was all planned out we were to fight during the ball of course you may already know this. So when he gave the signal to head over the majority of the professors head over I held back and waited for a couple of hours so honestly I don't really know that much that happened. Other than the fact that I almost had to reveal my secret to one of the professors there because she would not believe that I did not want to fight her."

Her part was small in the attack on Hogwarts and did not know much but she was bound to both schools in different ways.

Jon listened to her talk about the battle at Hogwarts and could understand the holding back becasue he had done it on many different occasions. That was one the one tough thing about being a spy is trying to keep your secret and not having to scarfice any lives to keep it.

Hogwarts has lost a few students in the mess and he knew that Juliet would be glad not to have been in the middle of things. Becasue he would have scared her forever had she had lost a student at her hand.

"Well I can tell you to be glad you were not in the middle of things, many students were lost. I will never understand why people need to harm children to get their points across." Jon said just shaking his head.

"So when do you want to get Terry, I can imagine that he was ready to be with you. His aunt and uncle have been really mean to him since his parents died, casue they know he didn't really belong to them."

Jonathan looked out accross the graveyard. It was really peaceful but thought maybe they should take this conversation elsewhere it was getting rather chilly.

"How about we take this conversation over to my place? Its not far from here."

"That sounds like a good idea." She was glad he offered to move to his house for she was starting to shiver but realizing that she had forgot to put the rose that she brought on her parent's grave she got up quickly and placed it on top of their tombstone as she had done quite often in the past. The rose was the one thing that she knew that both her and her mother loved their favorite flower and an important part in her middle name and her mother's first name.

She then walked back over to Jon and waited for him to lead the way to his house. But then she remembered the talk about the children being injured and killed that was not suppose to happen they were just suppose to stick to the professors but she guessed that some of the students may of thought it wise to stand their ground and fight for their school.
