Second years, fourth lesson: Succubus and Incubus

Lucia walked into the class, looking very much forward to this class. She was really curious about what she would learn, as she hadn't really deepened herself in the more demonic area of creatures. Sanationem had placed herself on the top of the board this time.

Lucia then waited for both Briony and Raziel, whom she had learned was the name, to show up, as well as the students.

Briony walked into the classroom, she knew that the Succubus Raziel would be here soon but she didn't know how things were going to turn out in the lesson so she had decided that it would be best to come along and sit in just in case she decided to be funny about it.

With a smile Lucia's way Briony swiftly stood beside her, waiting for the arrival of the woman she had been corresponding with for the past few months, with a small sigh she said;

"You ready for this? I'm glad the students enabled Raziel to come today."

Raziel didn't know a better place that she could be at this moment in time, In Hogwarts there were two men that suffice to say, 'liked her' and she might call on them after this tedious lesson was done with, the only reason she had volunteered was to get close to Cobalt and Angelus again.

Now that she had her head on straight, Raziel knew that being what she was, and being how she had changed, she could never just settle for one guy, and should probably inform Angelus of this, pretty soon.

Opening the door to the classroom, Raziel walked in wearing her heels and navy blue business suit.

"Hey there, this is the DADA class right? Raziel." she smiled extending her hand out to be shaken "So, where do you want me?"

Charlotte wandered into the lesson and looked at the three people standing there, one of them, the woman that she didn't know must be the succubus they were going to be talking to and she couldn't help but feel suddenly very very ugly.

Keeping her gaze on the floor Charlotte went and sat in her normal seat with a small sigh, hoping that this lesson would go quickly, and that maybe she wasn't the only girl that would feel like this.

Keiba entered the classroom as usual, but almost stopped short when she saw Briony and a strange woman in a blue suit already with Professor Henley. This was probably organised the last lesson. She scowled. This happened to be one of the reasons she hated missing lessons.

Keiba dumped her stuff and slid into the desk. On closer examination, the woman in the blue suit looked really beautiful. Wow, she thought, I wish I was as pretty as her.

She noticed Charlotte sitting across the room and gave her a little wave in greeting.

Airen entered the classroom. He noticed that three people up at the front instead of one. One, he thought, was a succubus. Truth be told, she was beautiful, but after looking around at the rest of the class, which was mostly girls except him, he noticed that they had looks of envy or resignation.

"Hello, professors," he greeted casually. He sat next to Charlotte and laid a hand on her shoulder.

"You okay?" he asked, concerned.

Haley walked into the DaDA classroom and saw three grown-ups, two of which she knew. Professor Henley, of course and headmistress Romain. Haley couldn't help but wonder why she was here, but she shrugged it off and took a seat next to Keiba.

Her eyes then fell on what had to be the succubus. She thought about her question, and wondered if the beautiful woman would think it very childish, but then figured she didn't care. The woman was extremely pretty, and Haley smiled at her. She noticed that Keiba and Charlotte looked a bit insecure. She shrugged that off as well. She didn't really care about beauty, and that wasn't to be vain or anything, she just didn't. She then sat back, waiting for class to start.

Parker sighed as he walked into the class. He was glad to be here, but with what had happened last lesson he was still trying to work though it. As he walked in, he noticed Haley and went to go take his seat by her. "Hi, Haley." He remembered in his surprised state he'd not been the nicest to her and he felt terrible for it.

He put his bag on the desk and looked up to the professor. He was confused to also see the headmistress and some other woman. He looked at Haley. "What are we going over today?" he'd left the last class before hearing the lesson that they'd be doing next.

Haley gave Parker a smile when he sat down. She then shrugged.

"I heard that the blonde woman is a succubus and that we're learning about them today. It's really quite interesting. I don't know much about them myself, but I guess we'll know more at the end of the lesson. Oh, and we were supposed to prepare a question for her, so if you haven't, then just try to think of some," she told him silently.

She wasn't offended by Parker's latest outburst at her, not at all. She knew what it was like to be frustrated. So she didn't think much of it. She didn't want him to feel bad or anything. Not that she knew if he did... Haley pushed the thought away. She didn't think it all that important.

Running to the class, she managed to act casual about it and act as if she wasn't in a rush. She placed her things down and sat on the other side of Haley. She noticed that Professor Romain was there, and that made her curious, even more when she saw a beautiful woman.

The homework made sense and she looked at the woman with a pang of an inferiority complex and insecurity. Still, she knew that it was because she was a Succubus it made sense.

"Hey guys" she murmured. "Anything good happen?"

Haley shook her head. "No, not really. They just seem to be discussing something. Class hasn't started yet, so you're not late," she said with a smile.

"But I bet this will be an interesting class," she commented, feeling content by that.

Tess nodded in agreement and smirked.

"At least Parker's not drooling" she teased.

She was more comfortable around Haley, now she knew the girl better from working together for the magazine. She was kid and pretty fun, for a Hufflepuff, of course she would never say that. She wrinkled her nose showing her amusement and pulled out her homework assignment, to see if they had questions for the succubus.

Parker looked at Haley curiously, then looked at the woman. "A succubus...well she looks pretty normal to me." Parker then sighed looking back at his bag, pulling out a piece of parchment. "You don't think we'll have to ask her ourselves do you?" he pulled out his quill. "What kind of question would I even ask?" He then smiled a little. "Favorite food? Favorite colour?" he asked jokingly.

He smiled at Tess as she took her seat on the other side of Haley. "Not really." He then nodded a little at Haley. "Yeah, never heard of anyone bringing in what we're learning about. Hopefully she doesn't bring in a werewolf next or something." he looked back at his paper thinking of what to ask.

He laughed a bit at Tess's comment and looked back up at her. "Oh please, I'm not some dog." he commented back. He smiled, looking back down to his paper. It was so much nicer like this, not feeling so worried about everything all the time. He needed to just relax and joke around more. It made things a lot more fun.

"I've no clue what I'd ask. I don't know anything about succubi...." he asked, brushing the end of his quill over his chin.

Keiba greeted each of her friends and peers as they sat near her - Haley, Parker, Tess - and gave them each a warm smile. She listened to their conversation and realised she knew not a single thing about Succubi.

"Oh dear," she said aloud. "I haven't a clue what a Succubis even is!" Keiba wouldn't even know what question to ask the wom... ah. That was her question.

Charlotte smiled lightly up at Airen as he asked if she was okay, she nodded slightly and subtly changed her appearance so that to her she was more pretty than she had been before and didn't feel so bad about the Succubus being in the lesson today, she had prepared a question for her, but didn't know if it would be good enough.

"Yes Airen I'm fine." she blushed, hoping that he wouldn't oogle at the demon too much, before turning to Keiba and saying quietly "A Succubus is a demon that feeds off...lust and things like that." she blushed again.

Victoria walked into class, happy that she wasn't too late that the lesson had started. She'd gotten distracted while going to Transfiguration class and had stupidly been late.

Taking a seat next to Tess, she noticed the stranger in front of the classroom. She was very beautiful, but that didn't overwhelm Victoria. She was used to feeling physically inferior and dismissed it. She had learned to accept herself for what she was and how she looked.

Taking out her homework she waited for the class to start.

Lucia gave a grin as Briony walked in. "I'm beyond ready. I have a feeling it will be very interesting," she said excitedly.

Then a most beautiful woman walked into the room. Lucia blinked. She hadn't expected such radiant beauty. She had to smile.

"This is indeed DaDA. I'm Lucia," she said kindly and shook Raziel's hand, "Thank you for being willing to do this."

When the students gathered up and she saw that most had entered, she smiled to them all.

"Well, let's begin! This class will be very enriching I think, and I hope you all prepared the question for Raziel here," Lucia said.

Then she turned to Raziel. "Would you like to start by introducing yourself?" she asked.

Briony nodded lightly and then faded into the back of the classroom using her shadow magic, so she wouldn't be intruding on their class so much, but she was still there in case she was needed, and she hoped that the trust she had placed in this woman would not go amiss.

Raziel shook Lucia's hand with a small smile and looked around the students, she was quite surprised to see that there were some young men in there, who seemed to be quite acquianted with some of the young ladies in the class.

Cute. She thought.

Coming to stand at the front of the class, Raziel didn't mind everyone looking at her, she was used to it.

"Hello everyone, my name is Raziel Ciero, as you know already I'm a succubus, I am around 300 years old although I've forgotten exactly when I was born, I was raised in the Carribean but I now live in York. So yeah, fire away with questions, it's not going to be something I haven't been asked before."

Tess looked around and looked confused as she saw that Professor Romain had disappeared and she couldn't see her any longer. Her eyes then trailed her to the Succubus and was surprised by the level of confidence. Part of her wasn't but it was amazing to see.

Seeing that no one was raising her hand she lifted her hand tentatively. Being picked, she cleared her throat and asked.

"In being a succubus, are you taught the nature of how to feed, or is it innate?" she asked curiously. "And if you allow me to add, how do you choose your...err...prey?"

Haley rose her hand as well and looked at the woman. She wasn't sure if it'd be rude or not to ask, but she figured that as Raziel had told them that no question they asked wouldn't have been asked before. Problem was, how did she react to those who asked her before.

"Ehm... Does it get lonely? Living for so long? I mean, do you have family like you or are you the only one?" she asked softly.

Raziel picked on the first person to raise their hand and she smiled lightly, after all she didn't want the poor dears to be afraid of her as well as feeling bad about how they looked around her, girls this age were alright by Raziel, as long as they weren't whiney and pubescent already...that would be annoying.

Listening to the question Raziel chuckled lightly and sighed, thinking of the best way to phrase her answer to the girl.

"It's innate, nobody ever teaches us, so I was the one who had to learn trial and error how to do things the best way because nobody is going to tell you, I suppose thats the same in different area's of life too. As for how I choose, it's the same as how you would choose who you want to kiss, whether I like them or not, nobody want's to kiss someone they don't like."

Of course, Raziel wasn't strictly allowed to say 'have sex with' the kids were twelve or thirteen. Turning to the girl who asked another question, Raziel smiled again and shook her head;

"Sometimes yes it does get lonely but no I'm not the only one I have a brother, he's called Lucian. Don't worry though, he's not in Britain at the moment."

Lucia smiled to Tess and Haley, glad that they had spoken up, mentally remembering to give them five points by the end of the lesson.

She paid close attention to what Raziel was talking about, finding the two questions asked very good ones and interesting. She then looked at the other students.

"Are there any more questions?" she asked them all.

A question came into his mind after she answered Tess' and Haley's . When professor Henley asked if there were anymore questions, he hesitated before he raised his hand.

"Wait, uhm, I'm sorry. I don't know a thing about succubi. Is it...by feeding, is that...literal? Or is it something like feeding off of energy? If it is the energy, does that mean that the longer you're with someone the more dangerous on their health it is?"

Keiba listened, intrigued, to the questions before. Raziel seemed really nice. Being a succubus sounded interesting. Keiba racked her brains for a question to ask her, biting her lip she raised her hand.

"Um, Raziel, what's the best way to tell if someone's a succubus? I don't know if we covered this last lesson because I wasn't here, and it would be pretty cool to hear it from an actual succubus."
