Time To Play A Game (OPEN - Attack Thread)

Raven giggled as she began to walk through the streets of Diagon Alley, thoroughly creeping out several of the people passing by, it was a busy day and parents had come out with their children to try and get their school things early, to beat the rush.

Gently taking out her razor, Belinda, Raven stroked the blade and hissed lightly as it cut her finger, stopping just outside of the ice cream parlour, Raven grinned crookedly and walked inside.

Walking up to the counter, Raven dinged the small bell;

"Oh hello...what can I do for you?" the shopkeeper asked, more than a little freaked out.

"I want to play a game." Raven said, in a cruel almost metallic voice, as she suddenly sliced her razor across the persons throat, cackling slightly as she took out her wand and pointed at the ceiling;

'BOMBARDA!'

Making it crash down Raven dashed out into the street, only just getting scratched by some of the debris, standing in the middle of the street, laughing manically, Raven pointed her wand at one child in particular who seemed to be gearing up to fight her.

'Wingardium Leviosa.' she chuckled, and flung the child up in the air, then down to the floor, almost smacking them against it.

Ophelia had a book tucked under her arm as she moved throughout the streets of Diagon Alley, her lips pursed as she looked for a good store to buy a new quill from. She spotted Floursh & Blott's and quickly hurried in. After much browsing, she found a violet quill and bought that one with a happy smile. She requested a bag and book both the book and the quill inside before she moved out onto the street.

As she did so, her thoughts drifted to her mum who she'd recently gotten an owl from wondering how she was. She mentioned making a few friends, Raziel, Briony and Cain, and this had greatly pleased her mother. She'd also called Alex's mum to see how she was, and was pleased to know that she was doing fine.

Suddenly, the roof of one store caved in and Ophelia froze up as a frightening woman left the store and stood in the middle of the street, before making a poor child bounce around in the air. With a hiss, Ophelia whipped her wand out and just as the child neared the ground she cried, "Stupefy!" At the crazy woman.

Raven was a little busy tossing the child to and fro, letting herself get lost in the childs noises of pain, until she heard someone shouting a spell at her and she whipped her head, just managing to avoid the spell itself, although to Raven's delight the lack in concentration had made the spell she was conjuring fade, and the child dropped from about twelve feet up to the concrete floor with a sickening thwack.

"Oh dear, look what you made me do..." she said with a wicked grin "Have you come to play? Because I feel like playing a game?" she chuckled.

Getting herself into a fighting stance, her razor Gerald in one hand, her wand in the other, Raven tilted her head at the woman as if to say; 'Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough' and waited for her attack, wondering what it would be.

Tess was minding her own business. She was excited about being a few books for herself, and she used the spare time. She was window shopping looking at a book that she was yearning to buy. That all ended as soon as she heard screaming and sobbing a block away.

She froze wide-eyed and found herself having to fight her fight or flight response. Something in her cried out that she go help, but last time she'd been a waste of space. She gripped her wand tight ,especially as she saw it was the woman she had thought she'd seen the year before. During the attack her friend was attacked and she felt vile rise up her throat in disgust.

While she might not have a chance, she was not going to be a coward. She ran towards the scene, but found herself freezing as she heard the sickening crack of the child falling. She closed her eyes and hid behind a building's alleyway. She was breathing heavily and tried not to cry. A child already dead.

Maybe she was being stupid, trying to save someone, trying to save a person she didn't know. She was going to run like the others had, that is until she saw a group of young children crying and sniffling on the other side of the street. She wondered what she could do. Call for help? Who would help them.

"Expecto Patronum" she whispered.

The small fox waited for her instructions and she was relieved that she managed to even get one out of her considering nothing really that happy was roaming through her. She whispered.

"Any Professor that can come, please tell them to come" she whispered.

The fox nodded and she immediately followed the gaze as it disappeared towards the castle. She closed her eyes tight and waited as if she was brave enough to be needed.

Merlin please, please give me a sign she thought tears rising.

Morgan was out in the Quidditch Pitch preparing to take a short flight before dinner when something small and bright white came darting towards the castle. Her brows furrowed when she noticed a slight blue aura about it. Realizing that it must be a Patronus she mounted her broom and zipped towards it. Once she was face to face with the creature, a fox as it were she listened as in it's ethereal voice it begged for help on it's mistress's behalf stating that she was in Diagon Alley. Nodding sharply Morgan waved it off on it's mission to find others as she hunkered low on her broom her leisurely flight turning into a break neck race against time.

Soaring over buildings Morgan kept an eagle eye out below, then crouched in a alleyway she spotted one of her students. Descending she landed as softly and decreasingly as she could. Morgan had a mental argument with her self in the few seconds it took for her hand to reach the girl's shoulder, Tess or Tessa she had seen the girl around school grounds and had one of each in her class which was it? "Tess?" she tried her eyes wide and concerned. "What's happening, are you alright?"

She sighed in relief seeing a Professor, and while she didn't know her, she knew when she saw someone concerned. She didn't know whether to move with them, or simply get more help. She decided to help but she wanted to help civilians.

"S-she's there" she whispered softly. "She killed a child"

She took a soft breath and looked at her frightened. She knew that they needed to fight, but she cared about saving the people around them. Some streets were empty while others, were full of frightened people.

"I'm fine" she said tears evident in her eyes. "We need to fight, we need to get people out of here, we need to catch her"

Her eyes darkened at the thought of catching her. She deserved Azkaban for her atrocities.

Morgan listened gravely as the girl told her about the child. Her eyebrows knit tightly together as she wondered, just who was this, 'she?' Poking her head around the corner she saw her and gave a slight shiver, Raven. Morgan nodded only half believing the girl's claim of being alright. "We're going to apparate." she said still holing the girl's shoulder her broom still at hand as she spotted the same small children. She had a plan, she only prayed it would work.

Tess pushed her back and bit and frowned that she was no longer being held.

"I'm not going to chicken out"she said. "I'm going to fight"

She meant it . She was not going to simply run, she was going to defend people even if strangers. It was something good in her, something that was innately good that told her she needed to stand up to those attackers.

"I called to help people here, she's vicious, and crazy, but I'm not going to be cowardly" she glared.

Right now she didn't care if she was going to get detention, lose points or worse expelled. She wanted to be useful.

"Ugh!" Morgan sighed throwing her head back. "Over there!" she pointed to the children, why did kids have to talk back? "We don't want to draw her attention, and she'll she us if we run to them!" Morgan said with more than a little bite in her tone. "We apparate over there, I use a shrinking charm on them and you, with them in a pocket, use my broom to get them away from here!" she explained angrily. "Do you think you can manage or should I freeze you on the spot so you don't get hurt?" she questioned a brow shooting up fiercely.

Tess glared at the Professor and did something she'd never thought she'd do. She used her Time Turner in front of her. She was foolish, rather than waste her time on Tess, she should have simply attacked Raven. Tess slipped her hands in her cloak and turned the wheel three times.

Immediately everything went back in time. She managed to get back before Professor King arrived and before her past self passed that alley. She created a distracted and made her get distracted by something else, the fact that there was a book sale another way preventing herself from even reaching the screaming people and the running victims. Future Tess then managed to get the kids, and run off towards the opposing side. She felt a pang knowing that she could not save the child that had gotten hurt very badly, but she did what she could.

She might not have been able to fight, but she saved a few lives. It was a memo to herself to avoid Professor King at all costs, after all she was too naive to realize the real danger that being Raven. She had managed to reach the end of the alley with the children crying.

She hugged them all and whispered.

"I'm taking you to the bank wait there for your parents, I have to go" she said.

They understood and a few blocks ahead and pushed them in. She managed to fly overhead trying to figure out how to attack her. She wouldn't be babied, she'd want to be vital to the fight. Once more she sent a Patronus this time around masking her voice making it sound like it was someone else asking for help.

"Attack at Diagon Alley" it would say and it flew off towards Hogwarts.

(OOC: Sorry if this is godmodding but I didn't manipulate anyone, I didn't overuse my powers because it's a object claim I was allowed.)

Teresa came to Diagon Alley as fast she could when she heard from a Patronus that there was an attack there.

"Regis scutum," she said, releasing the King family charm on her bell choker. A transparent black shield briefly appeared and then gone. That and her blood protections means she won't get hurt much, except if the spells were uncommon and cast by a powerful witch or wizard. Good thing her mother taught her that.

Teresa ran through the Alley until she reached the area the Three Broomstick was. She saw Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake facing Ophelia Zabini. Good think her back was to Teresa.

"Expelliarmus!" Teresa shouted, hitting the spell towards Raven's wand hand.

Ophelia gasped as the child crashed agains the ground, it had happened too quickly for her to even comprehend that the child was falling, let alone stop its fall. Tears slid down her cheeks as she took an instinctive step towards the now dead form of the child, and she shut her eyes for a moment to reign in her fury, before she opened them once more with a vicious look in her eye.

Ophelia Zabini was gone and replaced by this evil woman who longed for the crazy lady's blood to spill from her body. She wanted to watch her suffer for what she had done to the innocent child, and the people within the store that she had crushed. It was people like her that made Ophelia's vicious side come out, and only people like her.

"I love to play games, but im not sure if you're up to it, your skills might not be quite advanced enough." She snarled as she pointed her wand at the woman once more and eyed the dagger with mild interest. She moved into an attack stance not un-like crazy's own and she twirled her wand once, sending a non-verbal stunner before she flicked her wand again and cried 'Bombarda!'. The ground beneath the other woman's feet exploded, and Ophelia cringed as a few flecks of dust blew in her eye.

Raven looked around, the woman who had challenged her was seemingly taking a moment to think about it and in that moment she managed to spot a few more children running around and wondered what they would look like splattered on the floor.

Sensing that there was a spell being sent her way, Raven only just managed to avoid getting her wand taken from her, not like she would need it for her magic.

"Why, hello there." she turned to the girl behind her "Whatever are you trying to do? I'm already playing a game and there's no room for another player." she smirked.

With that Raven sent a wave of 'Incendio!' towards the girl and didn't have enough time to regroup before she was blasted backwards, hitting the side of a shop, Raven coughed up blood and smirked, laughing to herself. As the laugh grew she stood up and looked at the woman.

"First we must introduce ourselves, I am The Sweeney, and you are?" she asked before roaring a belt of 'Crucio' at the woman in front of her.

Ophelia's eyes widened as a girl who looked no older than 11 shot a spell at this crazy woman, and she hissed as the incendio was sent to her in response. Before it could hit her, Ophelia focused on the girl and managed to shield her from the fire that was sent straight for her. Ophelia's magic was in desperate need of training, and focusing on protecting someone else was hard.

Ophelia glanced back over to 'The Sweeney' and smiled wryly, a malicious glint in her eye. How dare this woman attack a child, though Ophelia felt annoyance towards the child for even trying to attack this woman. She was 11 and should not attempt to defeat a fully grown nutter.

"Get out of here!" She yelled at the girl angrily, before turning back to The Sweeney; "Ophelia Zabini, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Ophelia was distracted by a couple of girls screaming and running away, and therefore did not see the torture curse that was sent to her until it was too late. She'd never been under the influence of the spell, and now she screamed loudly as she fell to the ground and both writhed and panted.

Crucio were the words that chilled her to the bone as she heard them.

She knew she had to do something, especially since a first year was in the line of crossfire. The Patronus she had sent had done nothing, but rather made her wait in the sidelines. She knew it was foolish to try and beat this woman, but she needed to help the shop keeper who obvious had protected the first year from being hurt.

Gripping her broom till her fingers were white, she closed her eyes and began to try to urge that anger to rise. Her powers were strongest if her magical core was unstable, or controlled by emotions. Anger, oh she felt it, and with one deep breath she dove down the streets of Diagon Alley and landed in front of her fellow Slytherin.

She wouldn't stoop so low as to use an unforgivable, so pointing her wand, eyes flaring with clear anger she yelled out.

"Alarte Ascendare!" towards the woman.

Lilith Apparated to Diagon Alley the moment she was told by her cousin's pet about the attack. She saw Teresa standing in the line of fire.

"Teresa!" she yelled. "Come over here!" Lilith rushed to her cousin and dragged her behind a building. Teresa looked a bit mad.

"Go help the people here," Lilith ordered. Teresa looked like she was going to talkback, but Lilith didn't allow her. "I'll fight here. You go and help every else. Go!"

She pushed Teresa towards the other way from the fight. She recognized one of the women, Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake. "Protego," she muttered, strengthening her protection magic, before leaving the alleyway of the building. She jumped in behind Drake and shouted, "Confringo!"
