Kaspar nodded slightly, there was a big gap between the both of them, and he was wondering if it was harder having a sibling than not having one, he supposed it was, when the parents decided that they were going to give the other sibling more than you, which could be very hurtful he could see.

"Ah I see, a three year old? Is she cute at least?" he asked with a small smirk, and then what she said clicked in his mind and he looked at the boat with the smashing, then back to Alex "She's not in there with him now is she?" he asked, with a panicked look.

Alex looked at the boat and shook her head " No she isn't" Alex said " He would never indanger his little princess" Alex added as she rolled her eye's she knew he favored her sister, and their mother favored Alex, Alex sighed and shrugged.

" Here, so you can see what my little sister looks like" Alex said she pulled out her phone and showed him a picture of Alice whom had blonde hair blue eye's and chubby cheeks she was pale skinned.

Kaspar calmed down a little bit when he heard that the small child was not on the boat where there was smashing and various people being hurt, he hoped that the man would have more sense than to do that but he couldn't be sure, from what he had heard, and seen, he didn't think much of him.

"You're never supposed to have favourites amongst your children, that's one of the first rules of parenting, oh along with the rule that says they are allowed to be complete asses until you're an adult." he smirked.

Peering at the picture, Kaspar grinned, the kid was pretty sweet;

"Cute, she doesn't look much like you though." he pointed out.

Alex laughed slightly " My dad makes more of an ass of himself than my mom did" Alex said with a small smile she looked at the boat and sighed than she looked at the picture and nodded.

" She looks more like my dad and I look more like my mum" Alex said as she looked at Alice Alex smiled and flipped it to a picture of her mum she had long brown hair and green eye's she looked like an older Alex " This was before my mom got sick" Alex said.

Kaspar caught on to the use of the past tense and he thought that this conversation was about to get very sad, and he hoped that in the future it was going to be better for Alex, after all, it might have been fairly recent when her mother passed away.

"Well they tend to be worse towards their daughters, they would have been less strict if you were a boy, because that makes all of the difference." he said with a smirk.

Taking a look at her other picture, of her mother he thought Kaspar nodded lightly taking another drag on his cigarette which he had forgotten about; "She was pretty, what happened?" he asked.

Alex shrugged " Well, my mom had some illness I can't remember the name, she got real sick and I had to take care of her while my dad worked, and when we thought she was getting better things... Turned south" Alex said it was two years ago Alex couldn't believe she remembered it like it happened yesterday, Alex smiled slightly.

" You'd think me being a tomboy my dad would spoil me, no that's was my moms job" Alex said with a shrug she looked back at the boat as she noticed the guys were whistling, cheering, and clapping Alex blinked but shook her had she didn't want to know what was going on in there.

Kaspar was glad for the very short explaination of what happened, after all it spared msot of the details and it was something that was easy for Kaspar to deal with, he was never very good at dealing with emotional problems, he always responded in the wrong way.

"I see, well, it sounds as if your Dad might just be still in a bad place after her death." he said quietly "Although it's not my place to say really." he said, holding up his hands and hoping he hadn't caused offense.

Chuckling a little bit, Kaspar shrugged his shoulders and thought that it was different with each family; "Well my dad always spent more time with me, but I think it's different with each family." he added.

Alex smiled and shook her head " No even before my dad got sick he was an as-" Alex started than stopped if her dad heard her swear he would kill her Alex blinked " Butthead" Alex said decideing to change the word.

" And my dad has never showed me attention that's why we don't get along" Alex said with a small shrug when she saw his hands up she laughed " I don't get offended easy" Alex added with a smile.

Kaspar grinned a little bit, and he wondered if he had heard right, that her Dad was sick too? If that was the case it did not bode well for the rest of Alex's life, even if he was an asshole he was one that was able to put a roof over her head, and he hoped that all would go well for her;

"He's not sick too is he?" Kaspar asked, a little afraid of the answer he would recieve.

Nodding his head, Kaspar made a small 'hmm' noise and thought that it was often the way with one parent, but his mother was never that bad, she just didn't like what he did for a career;

"Oh well that's good, I tend to put my foot in it a lot when I speak." he smirked.

Alex shook her head " My dad had the illness first than he got over it, and my mom got the illness and she didn't get over it" Alex said with a shake of her head.

Alex nodded " My dad puts his foot in his mouth a lot" Alex said shrugging she heard cheering and whistling again Aled rolled her eye's.

" Yeah dad, this sure is father and daughter bonding" Alex mumbled sarcastically and. She rolled her eye's.

Kaspar nodded his head lightly, it seemed that there was something about Alex that detached herself from what happened, it was almost like she had accepted it and moved on when he knew that this must not be the case, she surely would be more effected than she was letting on.

"I see, and hopefully it is not something genetic that you can catch too, you ought to get yourself checked out or something to make sure." he suggested "If you haven't done already."

Sighing a little, Kaspar decided that he was just going to stay quiet for a moment, think of how to change the subject, and hopefully avoid more awkward silences like these;

"So, are you meeting up with any of your friends soon?"

Alex looked at Kaspar and she nodded slightly " After my mom died my dad took me and my sister to the doctor and he said we're both okay" Alex said with a small shrug.

Glad for the change of subject Alex have him a sad smile and she shook her head " No, they're busy with their families" Alex said with a small shrug she really wished they'd come to visit her but they were busy, Alex shrugged Inwardly.

Kaspar had to say he was a little relieved when he was told that Alex was not going to be prey to this disease, or her baby sister, for, however much she might resent her for getting all the attention from her father, which he didnt think was the case, you should always care for your siblings, you never know when you might need them some day.

"I am very glad of that, it wouldn't do to have any more of your family effected by that disease, it sounds like it's hard enough at the moment, without any more loss." he smiled gently.

Grinning a little Kaspar took another drag from his cigarette;

"Tell me about it, now that I'm free everyone I'm friends with is working and I'm always bored doing nothing, it's a curse really, at least you can tell people you met someone slightly famous, maybe that'll make some good new when you get back to school."

Alex smiled and nodded she was glad that the illness is gone but she still hated it, Alex watched him take a drag from his cigarette she looked in her pocket and pulled out candy cigarettes her dad had bought her she smiled.

" Well I really have no idea, I don't know if they'll Believe me" Alex said with a small shrug she Pulled out a candy cig and began to chew it it tasted bland Alex stuck her tounge out at it " This is disgusting" Alex said putting the pack of candy back in her bag and she pulled out licorice and started to eat the licorice.

Kaspar smiled lightly and couldn't help but chuckle, thought that the picture that she had taken on her phone would add some proof to it, but then again he didnt know how her friends were, they might be extremely disbelieving, but there could always be something done about that.

"You could just take a picture of us together or something, that way that would know that we definately met, even though they will probably have no idea who I am." he smirked.

Watching her reaction to the cigarettes, Kaspar chuckled and shook his head a little bit; "Well the real thing is much worse, lets not have you trying any of those." he smirked a little bit "And licorice tastes better? Bleh, I always hated that sweet."

Alex chuckled slightly " Yeah we could take a picture together so that way I can prove that I met you" Alex said she continued to eat the licorice and when he said he didn't like licorice Alex couldn't help but laugh.

" My Dad and Sister can't stand it" Alex said " Want to try?" she added handing him the pack of candy cigs Alex glared at the pack she hated it when candy has no flavor she shrugged inwardly.

Kaspar smiled lightly, there was normally an aversion on his part to having his picture taken, but he was sure that he could manage it for this one special girl, after all, she deserved all that she could be given, so a simple picture was the least that he could do for her.

"Yes, you must remind me before we leave." he nodded "I'll make sure not to pull a funny face and ruin it, or do that bunny ears thing, dont want to embarrass you." Kaspar smirked, sticking out his tongue.

As she held out the packet of candy cigarettes, Kaspar shrugged his shoulders and took the packet from her, opening it up and taking one out; "Thank you very much." he said as he popped one in his mouth, and he frowned a little bit "You're right, very tasteless, but food is food."

Alex smiled and looked down at the water she knew this summer was going to be horrible but she might have something to look forward you never knew right?

" Okay I will, and you can do the rabbit ears and stuff it won't bother me" Alex said with a small smirk she had already figured him more of a friend than her actual friends, Alex smiled and hummed lightly.

" I told you they were bland" Alex said with a small laugh " I'm never letting my dad buy me candy again" Alex added with a small shake of her head she moved her bag over so that it was more away from the water.

Kaspar made a dark smirk appear on his lips, but it was a joking one, he did not think that it was such a wise move to let him do whatever he wanted, after all there could be spells to make drawings come onto your face, and stay there until they met again, but of course he was never going to be that mean.

"Alright then, you probably should not have given me free license to do that, but you'll get to know that better when we meet up again." he smirked lightly, looking at the time on his phone and sighing lightly, he would have to make a move soon, he had been here a lot longer than he thought he had, time had passed oddly quickly.

"Maybe when we see each other I can give you some of my favourite candy, skittles, skittles and nerds, have you had any of those before?" he asked, tilting his head to one side as he finished a candy cigarette.

Alex sighed quietly she knew her dad would be coming out of the office soon, she didn't want to go with her Dad mainly if he was drunk she sighed and looked at Kaspar.

" I take it back" She joked than she laughed slightly she heard the office door open and she groaned loudly when she saw all of them walking funny ' Great, just great' Alex thought than she heard the candy and smiled.

" I love nerds and I don't mind Skittles, but Nerds are my favorite candy" Alex said with a small laugh she loved nerds she smiled.

Kaspar looked up when he heard the door to the ship opening and the people coming out, he did not want to have to leave as the man looked trashed, but he knew that it was none of his business and if he tried to intervene, he'd probably get beaten up.

"Well then I promise the next time that we meet, I will bring some for you. Okay?" he smiled "Although I have to say I do like Skittles best, not the sour ones, they're awful."

Getting up from his seat on the floor, Kaspar smiled a little and he straightened out his jacket, looking over at the men again;

"You going to be okay?" he asked.

Alex smiled and stood up she dusted her jeans off and she smiled at him " The sour ones are nasty" Alex said with a small laugh than her smile fell when she looked toward the men, she sighed and put her hands on her hips.

" I should be, and if you hear a scream that's when you start running" Alex said with a sheepish shrug she sighed and gave him a weak smile.

" So I'll be at one of your concerts, promise" Alex said crossing her heart she laughed silently.

The last statement that Alex made was one that Kaspar felt was completely devastating, but he only gulped lightly and decided that he would like to make sure that the girl was okay, and if that meant that he had to see her every week that's what he would do, even if it was just a phone call.

"How about we meet up next week sometime, I'd like to make sure that you're alright, if that's okay?" he asked a little concerned "Anyway you have my number, if anything happens just call me okay?" Kaspar smiled.

Reluctantly, Kaspar turned and began to start walking away, casting his gaze back to Alex as he walked, hoping that she would be alright until the next time they would meet.

Alex nodded " I'd like that, and okay" She said to both of his questions she gave him a weak smile and she watched him walk away, her smile faded as she looked toward her dad.

Alex looked back at Kaspar and smiled than she walked toward her dad reluctantally she sighed and hoped her dad wasn't that drunk, which he was she gulped and walked toward her dad.

Kaspar smiled lightly and apparated away before he could think differently, if he had his way he would make sure that Alex never had to go back and be around her father when he was in that state again. As it was, he couldn't do that, so he would just make sure that she was protected as much as he could, from where he was.
